Well, from what Sam said, the construction worker's brain wasn't damaged. Somehow he miraculously hit the drill bit at just the right angle where it went next to his brain and pushed it aside instead of skewering right through it.
I just drove through Chicago today and jesus christ never again. Never seen so many people merging and turning with out blinkers and shit
yeah, I expect people to shit in Chicago
I lived in Tucson when the shooting that Gabriel Giffords was shot in the head occurred. Around the city it was like one of the most somber slow-going days I can remember. This was of course just right before mass shootings became a daily part of life here. Everyone was upset about Gabby and the others but the little girl that was there to meet the Congresswoman that was killed hit us different. But Gabby's recovery was something that everyone was talking about with such a positive outlook. When she came on TV and talked for the first time with (all things considered) minor cognitive differences it was a fucking miracle.
These are still fun to watch, including these two. :)
Could you guys react to Emu War by oversimplified? You won’t regret it.
Or emu war by Sam o'nella if they haven't already
I work at the hospital, keeping an eye on suicide/suicidal patients. Believe me...people survive the craziest things.
It's amazing, the human meat machine is simultaneously ridiculously easy AND impossibly hard to decommission.
I got grazed by a bullet. It was an sks round right above my left eye.
Buy a lottery ticket
damn
I love yens reactions
Could you look at the Jocat "Crap guide to DnD Alignment" (and all the other ones you feel like covering, they're all pretty good).
You guys are fun. :)
Lmaoo shout out from Hanover park/Schaumburg 💯💯🖤
this is simultaneously the best and most disgusting sam o nella video

The railroad workers story was slightly different. Saw a documentary about him. He didn't turn into a violent drunk.
True, but he did become VERY profane from the man he used to be. And he was changed enough to where people who knew him said he was "no longer Gage."
@@22Tesla he was no longer gage. But was neither violent, nor profane. His family and people that knew him later when he was a coach driver in peru (i think) described him as childlike and friendly.
The myth of profane and violent comes probably from the railroad company that wanted to fire him.
@@IrradiatedFeline Hmmm maybe I'm remembering it from other sources then possibly.
Ron hunt is STILL alive
3:40 And this is why I don't drill above my head without a proper ladder.
This is why I don't drill
man i really wanna visit chicago. they got that dank
2:42 Kit looking like the guy from The Office
Gunpowder is still used for carving (stone faces) I believe
I heard about a guy who lived being pulled through a steel girder machine. Horror.
Yes
Do you guys do music reactions?
I remember reading this for school. For the fisrt story
Christ-Chan was a chris-Chan reference I just got that it is extra funny cause it happened before I am god delusions.
lot of these people probably rolled a 20 in luck
Well to answer your question gunpowder can be used in modern times to blow things up!! Gunpowder is always going to be gunpowder
You guys should react to Tarrare
Did his eye get damaged. Didn't sam say the drill went straight through his eye... I don't know about you but i think that would class the eye as being non existant anymore
The brain can live long but not long enough with a hole in it
you guys need to react to sam kinison
These days Gage would have got like $50 million in compensation (less $40 million in legal fees of course).
I think kit died for a little during the video
Those stares are a bit to blank for my taste.
Coment
Sam o'nella completely ignores it, but its not the fact that gage was looking down the hole that was stupid, but the fact that he was supposed to put sand in the hole over the black powder before packing it down with the rod. He forgot the sand and thus ignited the powder when he tried using the rod. Typical Sam not doing proper research smh
I think of Sam o nella academy as an abridged version of internet historian's incognito channel. Just enough information to keep people interested, but mostly for entertainment rather than education.
@@Finalstar78 that may be true for the Phineas gage story, but there are much bigger fallacies in other episodes like when he talked about dachshunds being bred for their weird looks and not for any practical reasons (they were bred to enter burrows to flush out animals like badgers and foxes for hunters) and the beauty micrometer being for measuring how much makeup was needed to make people pretty (it was for figuring out where to put makeup to make an actress or actors facial features more visible for low tech early movie cameras.)
His math on the cardboard waste of swiss miss boxes was off, that's the only issue I've ever noticed right away in his videos.
@@Guessnought isn’t that the same thing
