I have been watching ur videos of late and find them a very informative. Keep up the awesome presentations. One question I have, why don't you film your hunts and post those also? I think it would be really cool to see you harvest an animal of any type from any setup that we watched you create. Just a thought. Happy huntin.
I get that question a lot. But the bottom line is that I am not prepared for it, not interested in carrying more gear and during that one opportunity I get per year to draw on a big buck, I want nothing there to lessen my chances... like the movement necessary to position a camera. Maybe in the future though
Thank you very much for ur response. It makes perfect sense. I'm at the stage of my life where I haven't even picked up a weapon bow or crossbow or anything sitting in the woods yet this year. I take a canon. Yes so far this is the first year and I take my camera. I may regret it but I really enjoy filming animals in their habitat in the wild. Thanx again.
@southcarolinaoutdoors excellent. I am not photographer but with the improvements in camera quality in our phones in recent years, I have captured some great sights and memories on camera.
Appreciate these practical demos a lot. Curious if you or any readers pay attention to tree species when selecting trees? In my limited experience so far black cherry has turned out to be a huge pain in the ass to climb due to the bark character.
The video will last longer than the products used in the video. I have several 8mm ropes. This is the Rougaroo from ApeCayon.com and I have been testing multiple 5mm cords on it. See: jrbtreeclimbing.com/content/cord/
I enjoyed your presentation, good work.
Thank you very much!
Great location, setup demo!
Thank you, have a great day!
Thanks!
Good one JRB, and congrats on the big Buck
Thanks!
Truth right there...!

It's loud and a lot of friction but no problem to climb. How are you climbing?
Apologies if I missed this somewhere else- but what 5mm cord/ 8mm rope combo are you using?
