We like bolt on parts 😎

I was going to do that with my GS, but I wanted bigger because my wheels are thin-spoked. I ended up going with the ls460 bbk from XAT. Works great but finding an equivalent rear kit is hard, the supra/ls430 rear bbk isn't enough for me without the rear kit I get understeer on braking with a car more prone to oversteer on acceleration.

@@deimosphob man that sucks. Hopefully you can find a good rear kit to balance it out!

Dude you should have just ran the factory TT brakes. LS400 brakes look bigger but don’t actually perform better than a stock brake setup. Wasted my time doing that in my gs300

@@ssjdavid it’s literally the same thing just cheaper and more readily available at part stores lol

@ it’s not! Plenty of guys that went ls400 brakes in the GS/IS/SC forums are saying the same thing as me. The Supra TT brakes perform better. People mainly feel the difference cause of adding stainless steel lines eliminating the spongy Lexus brake feeling not cause of the LS400 brakes. But I’m not sure if the stock GS brakes are the same as mk4 non turbo brakes. So it might be a big difference on a Supra but for a IS/GS/SC it’s not worth it.

@ the only benefit Supra brakes have over the LS is 11mm of rotor size. Sure they might stop better but at the end of the day I’m not going to notice it. It’s not a track car and I just did a budget BBK that’s readily available at part stores. It’s not that deep lol

@ yeah facts shouldn’t matter to much!

You just encouraged your car to spin out while under performance braking. If you go from 2 piston to 4 piston fronts, the pressure to your rear will be excessive due to the extra fluid volume required to actuate the fronts.. if you have ABS straight line braking will feel fine, under any performance driving be prepared for your rear end to lock up early.. get a proportioning valve to reduce pressure to the rear and have someone check your lock up by filming a 20-0mph very hard braking to balance it. brakes ain't a bolt up and its good type of thing.. it's safety and your life

I understand where you’re coming from, but it’s not that deep. The LS400 & TT calipers in the rear is a solid tested setup between Supra owners. That brake combo is pretty close to the OEM brake bias. The car hardly gets driven hard anyways considering it’s NA. Thanks for your input tho
