I only use dwarf perennial ryegrass. Wonderful stuff soft fine blade, great colour, drought tolerant, wears well, does well in shaded area or full sun, cold tolerant . Perfect for the UK
I killed of my tall fescue it made big clumps and the leaves are too big. they grow too tall too. so I did not like it. once you put down any seed it's hard to kill it off. and tall fescue has to be resealed every 2 yrs. That's my opinion . tall fescue needs fungicides. my lawn never needed it.
3 inch is good. need to cut as tall as possible with out the grass falling over. That way it has more area on grass plant to do photosynthesis.. taller the plant deeper will be the roots Ty for watching.

Nice Ty! for the info
This was actually very educational. It doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of good comparison videos when it comes to color and blade thickness.

Great video. Do you it would be a good idea to mix rye grass in with Tall Fescue when I seed?
