no one's talking about how much easier it is to raise characters in this game compared to hsr or genshin. main reason i stopped pulling in both of them is because of how many materials they need, and how tedious it is to get them. but for zzz, all you need is a certain item and some dennies. so i actually WANT to build my characters now.
I went for Ellen and her weapon for waifu reasons, and after seeing her in the story, I'm really glad I did. Now I just hope I could get Koleda cause I absolutely loved her scenes in the story too. I think it's fine to just roll for the characters you like and try to find teams where they work well, it seems like when played and built correctly even characters like Billy that are being trashed on the tier lists can have some amazing performance.

If you do an anomaly effect with the element weakness it will remove the shield, one doesn't need to build damage on your nicole. In shiyu defense 9 i am able to remove the shield of the thanatos by using nicole and resonaboo. Perfect parry with nicole to finish the daze meter, chain attack with the whole team with nicole as the last one then do ex special attack lastly do special attack until you trigger corruption. Shield removed then After that proceed with your usual rotation

I'm going to end up pulling for every limited 1.0 and 1.1 unit, and just work with whatever I end up getting. All the characters are so cool and likable.
I like this game very much, but it has the hoyoverse floaty feel to most of characters like in their action games, but characters like Ellen Joe really does mitigate the problem, if they introduce more deep combat characters like her it can get really good in the future.

In this case, I completely disagree with that sentiment. Movement feels the best it has felt of any Hoyo game and melee characters definitely feel like they have impact to their hits, especially Corin, Koleda, Ben and Lucy (from characters I have played).

Hi, this is kinda a question posed to all. For limited characters that you have to “pull” for, can anyone tell me if their cinema mindscape is locked behind additional pulls to get the character again. Or after pulling the character does the character become part of the “normal” loot pool. I’m new new to all this and I’m just incredibly overwhelmed with all the currency and seemingly scummy tactics to sell lol.
Cinemas are basically the duplicates of the character. So to obtain it you need to pull for them again. If you don't intend to spend actual cash on the game, cinemas should only be a luck thing. It'll be nice to have but should not be the goal. Unless you want to use 6months or more worth of polychrome on one character.
As a f2p it's better to focus on getting new characters. So if you managed to get Ellen and don't mind getting at least one duplicate of her, you can keep pulling to possibly build for yourself a so called pity-roll with rises chance to get a featured character after you will get S character that isn't featured(in this case it was Ellen). With f2p it's better to pull till you get a character and stop pulling though. Hoard premium currencies and wait for another character that interests you, assuming it's not immedietly the very next character banner.
Mono teams work mostly because of element specific supports ie Nicole and Suka. On top of that they are easier to build since all the characters get their passives without worrying about factions and stuff like that most of the time, which is important since this early on we roll with whatever team we can get.
Don't look at element build up in mono teams. For me the character passives are more important in such cases. Besides I enjoy weird set ups too. Like Ellen + Piper + Rin/someone else. 3 different elements and two or even 3 different factions sometimes with no character ending up with their passive on. It still can work well and allow for good damage and fun gameplay without sacrificing the "big number makes the brain feel nice".
I losto 50/50 to Rina, and on standard I pulled Lcoan and Rina again. So I rerolled, got Ellen in first tenpull, and Nekomata on standard. I think I will hit second pity on Zhu Yuan, though I still wish to have Lycoan on my account, but hey I can get him on selector. What made me decide to stay on new account is getting S rank w-engine for attackers, usually I don't pull on weapon banners, but in this game I think its good to have S rank, even generic one.
good take, imma pulling zhuyuan since i lose 50:50 on ellen early 20 actually so much mistakes i have made in early progression to ik40, because watch too many different guide without understand from the game itself.. but it is what it is
I didn't see a difference for shield break when using Nicole on my team so I just use a different team altogether I will say I've yet to clear two specific challenges msq's but everything else I've done is at s rank for the content I have tried

I remembered i s ranked shiyu 7 and 8 with just 2 characters soldier with lucy and grace with ben it was really easy got some luck on discs and managed to get some good s ranks though
Someone know if it's worth it playing Soldier 11 with Koleda and Grace for end game content compared to other team ? I really like interactions between these two but mono pyro seems better, but i don't like playing Koleda and Ben together (don't like Ben gameplay), also which S-Rank Bangboo is better with that team (Belobog Bangboo or RocketBoo ?). Just reached account level 40 today and i've never been so lucky on a Gacha Game on release, decided to do a only F2P account (spended money on all others gacha game i've played before), i have almost all S-rank char. I don't have Rina and Ellen but i can pull Ellen if i want before she's gone (lost 50 50 and got Koleda and now i want to save for Qinqyi or Miyabi after seeing their gameplay), except for Koleda i got every other standard S-rank char (+ neko weapon) on the permanent banner (140 / 300 atm, without even getting two times the same S-rank W engine / char). i'm really happy with all i got (insane luck) but i'm also lost what to upgrade after Nekomata (first because i also got her weapon) and i also got full cinema for Anton and Soukaku. So i was thinking, maybe using Anton (but i don't like him) / Grace + another char with the Belobog bangboo as electrical team and Soldier 11 with Koleda and Lucy with Rocketboo as fire team and maybe an hybrid team with Nekomata / Lycaon and Sukakou with the pinguin A rank bangboo. Or i can still lvling up Piper + use another char to play with Nekomata but i want to use all of my S-rank char and it's already resource-intensive as it is (even without adding those 4 A-rank char into account...). I have too much char and it's overwhelming.

I tried but i just don't get how she's good 🤷 i think she's mid and that Nicole will MAKE her look good cause I'm dead ass convinced shes the fish/xangling of this game. Could be wrong. Ellen on the other side of that coin what a lot of people seem to not realize what makes her get such stupid number totals is the the sheer amount of aoe and damage ticks she gets per hit. Honestly watching peak Ellan performance reminds me of childe. IDK why just does. Now combine all this would the fact the decided to give her all the res shred and buffs u can imagine. Plus how this game works on a faction system. All that and I'm pretty sure she'll stay not quite the best but definitely relevant for a a GOOD minute. But who knows the game is still new new and we're all still figuring it out. Let's see after at least 1.2 and let some of the new wear off cause I'm willing to admit i could be wrong on a LOT of takes i got right now
Other way around for me, especially on the gameplay side of things, Zhu Yuan feels super fluid while Ellen feels a bit more jank to play. Having to always do the long dash to build stacks feels way worse than just shooting things or getting free stacks from chain, very low commitment on all of her animations as well. Outside of personal preference, Zhu Yuan also has a much more versatile "faction" passive and will be the only ether damage dealer for a long while, easily slotting into future teams as long as you pair her with any support unit to activate her 30% crit rate skill. Not that it matters though, the only future proof units will be anomaly and overpowered supports lol

I don't understand the need to build mono element teams. Doesn't the element buildup slow down with repeat application?

Yup. That's true. Resonaboo and Nicole is enough to break in one rotation it's a bit of an awkward rotation but still works.
