I personally don't use Lycaon as an on-fielder but as a buffer. After I buffed Ellen with Soukaku, I immediately switch to Lycaon and uses his EX Special to debuff enemies' ice RES then switch back to Ellen to go to town. Lycaon being a tier below Qingyi is valid due to how universal she is.
Another good strategy with QingYi clang clang (BA3) is you can use Dodge to reposition yourself so that you are at the edge of a group instead of the center. That way, when you go into charged BA4, you are more likely to get most or all of them in one go instead of splitting up the group.
the thing about stunners ranking, even is there a big difference between others stunners and qingyi, the others stunners are still incredible, they deserve to have higher ranks if compared with other class units. putting lycaon rn in the same tier as nekomata, rina and lucy is an L take, because of how much buffs and daze he provide (35%dmg amp + 25% ice shred).
I absolutely decided I could not miss out on Qingyi, I’ve gotten her up to mindscape 4 and I’ve got 1 of her W-Engine. In all my playtesting of her, I absolutely think she is cracked, and is going to remain meta relevant until the far end reaches of the game. I might try to pull 1 Jane Doe and get some Seth along the way, but I went ALL IN on Qingyi and she is absolutely my favorite character now. Also just to throw an idea towards ya: So, the first two banners were “Hawtie DPS that will be the Main focus of your builds” from the actual launch of the game. Now that we’ve been through two banners, AND we’ve seen the rest of the next few characters revealed, so now everyone is in choice mode. Do I spend my resources now, or later? And everyone is looking at Qingyi with potentially any number of these ideas in mind: -I already have an electric stun girl the game gave me and this would be a waste of resources (The Anby Argument) -I’ve already spent all my resources in the first couple of banners and realistically am in need of building them back up. -I’ve seen a character ahead I’m predicting/planning on pulling and would rather save up my resources. Now that I can see upcoming characaters, this is the first time I’ve gotten a choice on what character I want. Meanwhile I’m in love, Qingyi is the character I take in with me at the start of every hollow zero and every shiyu defense.
I also haven't pulled on any of the limited banners (Okay I might have done a 10 pull on Ellen's banner before realizing I don't want her), I think after playing Piper (not that invested) and Grace I've settled on liking the anomaly playstyle + disorder comps, so I think I'll just pull every anomaly that I can and hope for the best.
Yes true, i didnt like coleda first. But after using her on my ellen team(didnt have Lycon) I really like her, just counter and using ex on last bassic attack then swap out😅
That's why I think people are over-analyzing with ceaser when the balancing is not even finished yet and people don't know what teams are actually compatible with the character. Yes, ceaser will be a secret stunner, yes ceaser will add defense, yes ceaser will add 1k FLAT damage. However, Qingyi adds a FLAT increased percentage of damage which means if damage numbers goes up over time, qingyi will outscale ceaser in damage increase because percentage increase beats a flat number increase every time. What ceaser will actually powercreep in principle will be anby, soukaku, and lycon and even then, no reason to just bring ceaser, soukaku, and ellen for a double 1k damage buff if that actually synergizes with the team requirments. Every account needs more than one stunner and more than one support anyways.
I cracked and pulled QingYi yesterday. Fomo of feeling like my Zhu Yuan would feel incomplete without her and I had Lycaon's signature that I hear she works great with.
Having played a lot of gacha games, I've noticed that community tier lists can be very susceptible to the aesthetic preferences of the person making the tier list. Especially when you're one of the definitive tier lists for the community and have millions of clicks per day. Not accusing anyone on this site specifically of anything, but that's a lot of power. A popular enough tier list can hypothetically steer sales and use it to pressure game devs into making more characters that fit their preferences, or less characters that don't. The important thing is to look up a lot of different opinions, keep an open mind, and most importantly: roll with your dic- I mean, roll for who you like.
I've been able to S rank everything so far with Anby and Koleda as stunners, I'll get a limited stunner when the game gets harder and they release banners at that point or if I really like the design of the character
I also have both Lycaon and Koleda, but also can't decide whether to go for Qingyi or Jane or skipping both. Qingyi seems to have more value than I initially thought. I need more informations for future characters, but I can't get them sadly..
I love qingy, loved her since she was first announced, loved her when I saw her review and kit but my account right now needs a serious damage dealer and I lost my 50/50 for zhu and got grace which was a good blessing because it now guarantee me either the stun queen or Jane.. I’m going to go for Jane because that’s what my account needs right now, I already have all the other stun agents but no real damage dealer.. I’ve made my peace, I’ll be seeing the stun queen in the rerun hopefully she comes in a patch with some shitty agent that I won’t like 😁
I don't have a Lycoen. But coincidentally lost a 50/50 to Koleda on Qungyi's banner and then went to pitty for Qingyi and got her too. Sorry Anby has now been benched. Qingyi for my Zhu and Koleda for Ellen. I now need to decide if im still gonna choose Lycoen for my selector. Koleda is that good even on Ellen teams.
well, i was 65 pulls for pity so i decide to down that to 60 just for "fun"?then afther 2 pulls the shine golden sing, and i get a nekomata, so a lost my pity count back to 90 for a fucking cat.
I love her playstyle and i'm going for her C1 (probably i'll don't get it because Rina), it's such an upgrade from Anby, also i didn't have any other stunner. I could level it up to lvl 40 the first time and cleared Shiyu defense until six whit that (I was lacking damage for 7, already did it tought). I'm in favor for pulling only for waifus not meta (that's why i'm spending everything in the robussy) but for more meta people, she is simply busted whit that multiplayer and she stuns and plays really smooth wich in timed content matters a lot, also does decent damage
here’s another way to understand what i’m trying to get at. Given you have no S-ranks (or you have S-rank ether, electric and physical attackers), who would you choose between Lycaon and Koleda?

If it wasn't for Qinqyi's buffs and ease of use..... -and ass,- Koleda would be the best stunner by far, its not even close. Like the lil brat hit like a freight train, no pause. I cannot believe I ignored her for so long (mainly bc resource scarcity and ppl said Anby was better). Now I regret taking Anby to 50 instead of Koleda. Such a waste. no she not really most sleept, because people just dosent care how or what her mechanic is, her dodge counter daze is really frontload. its smillar to anby honestly but Anby is too dependant on her combo string, no combo string no Daze because beside dodge counter combo string is how anby able to give Daze. its like Fighting game where anby need pick her combo build up, but Koleda is all heavy hit every her combo, Skill, and dodge counter
