@waveSquadron, 6:35 Nadura pissed Morgan off when she said, "Don't burn everything down around you (4:50)." Nadura made Morgan relive her trauma. Dathamir burned, so Nadura's home would too.
I’ve come to find that in some ways these short stories are meant to be lore expansions of some characters. Now between Mandalorian S2, Ahsoka S1 and now this I’ve gotten all I need from the character of Morgan. This was the perfect place to tell the part of her story that wasn’t explored.
@@calbewetzel3722 I mean she was a right hand man kind of character so ya you could say she wasn’t handled the best especially when Thrawn came in and all the focus went towards him. Her lore is the more interesting part of her character.
But they felt so unnecessary at the same time, Morgan is such an inconsequential character, she was merely an obstacle and a device. Her death was meh, and honestly, for me these episodes did nothing to make me care more about her.
Bo-Katan: Take the foundling to the city of Calodon on the forest planet of Corvus. There you will find Ahsoka Tano. Tell her you were sent by Bo-Katan.
It definitely helps Morgan’s motivation by having the Empire (formerly the Republic) take her in after the Separatists destroyed her people. Then her “revenge” can be against anyone who disagrees with the Empire.
my world burned so this aint any different ? didnt knights do this to see enemies better from castles ? maybe that ? maybe to control the ship explosion like Eric said I think it mainly just the message behind it
Yeah, altough their relationship after the fall of the Republic and before the destruction of Mandalore never really was shown, they were shown to remain working together during the events of Rebels. It has been my impression Bo and Ahsoka never really got into the alure of the New Republic after it evolved into it from the Rebellion.
In the Mandalorian Bo tells Mando to “go to the planet Corvis and there you will find Asoka Tano. Tell her I sent you.” Not an exact quote but that is the gist of it.
I honestly assumed THRAWN would be the one to have burned the trees on Corvus, and for he to be mad about that. History repeating itself. Her doing it herself took me by surprise.
This episode is another in a concerning trend of showing how weak and incompetent the New Republic is. Nadura turned up to the stronghold of an entrenched warlord with hundreds of troops and droids and just asked her nicely to surrender all her power and be arrested. And if that didn't work her plan b was 5 lightly armed guys. I'd call it naivete but Nadura is from this planet, she knows Morgan. How tf did she think this plan would go? But yeah i really liked this little arc, i wish we got more with Morgan but i'll take this. Great reaction as always.
Nah. She was furious when Nadura said "Don't burn everything down around you", as she replied "My world has been burning since I was a child. Why should this one be any different?". It was pure hatred. The fires of Dathomir still burning inside her. She hates those people, as she said in the previous episode when they turned against her: "These are not my people".
I wish they would make the new republic seem competent just once. wouldn't it know the peace envoy it sent never returned? shouldn't they send a follow up?
I just wanted more. Morgan's story just shows what happens when you hold a grudge for so long, its all that matters now. Granted her people were wiped out but she never moved on from it.
I’d have love to have seen Hamato Xiono be the ambassador who got to see firsthand just how well the Imperial Remnants are actually taking the New Republic. 😉
I can't get how that senator thought going in like she did was a good idea... go back to your ship and call for reinforcements right away. You've got 5 guys and a droid, what were you thinking. Overconfidence and hubris... very in character for the New Republic at least.
Correction on the Wonder Woman theme: it was BARELY used in 1984. In Zack Snyder's Justice League, however, the theme had a lyrical addition to it, which did play virtually any time Wonder Woman or the other Amazons either did something or were just on screen. The core motif, as was introduced in BvS and expanded upon in Wonder Woman, was used in both versions of Justice League, but sparingly. The underlying percussion was used frequently, however, as it serves extremely well in driving the music of the action scenes. Not really important to a Tales of the Empire reaction, but Eric saying he finds the Wonder Woman them annoying after the second film confused me greatly. Also, while the singing in ZSJL IS repetitive and potentially annoying in the film, it's still used quite well throughout the score, and is not something I would've gotten rid of.
These guys were singing the theme song for that in other reactio than was actually played in the movies. Perhaps they're getting annoyed at their own singing 😂😂
I just saying those villagers for a little bit of more money were ready to serve the Empire and make them weapons, and were ready to let Morgan die if failed to bring them this money from Empire, so if everyone is for themselves why Morgan is the only bad person here?
I know the algorithm is a thing and all that and you guys really are slaves to your release schedules...but you always seem to be releasing things as the hype dies down. This shorts could have been two videos with the three episodes each. Just saying.
A lot of people don't think outside of their boxes. Ship crashes and blows up it caused a forest fire..I don't know why they were so confused about that 😂she sent a distress signal but she didn't say what the distress was

Morgan is sadly a perfect example of people who become so attached to their fear and hatred, peace is the most threatening thing they can imagine.

Man if I was in morgans position I would NEVER wish that on anyone
"Is that droid gonna be the only survivor? This doesn't feel great."
Oh Calvin. Sorry man.

But perhaps it’s also the fault of those other shows that Morgan was not as interesting or complete of a character as she should have been

4:49 I think the burning of the forest can be connected to these lines.

@@mrwatermelo50 My assumption was that they burned the trees to make it seem like the Republic caused the fire somehow, but Im not sure.
I smiled when Ahsoka's theme played. My heart knows it well.
God can we talk about the fire animation! That stuff looked so freaking sick!!
That sounds like Katee Sackhoff on the communicator.
So Bo basically sent Ahsoka to this place.
I thought it was Rosario Dawson voicing ahsoka

i've rewatched that intro about 10 times now. lemme watch the rest of the video 😭
Her vision is from peridia and the 3 awoken night sisters and thrawn. Thats her destiny is to find and bring him back
I just noticed you all three have different chairs...it's like the chairs in the Jedi council room!
0:22 to be fair, it was Zack Snyder’s JL that had the choir howling every time Diana ate a pancake 😂😂
I love the chemistry Eric and Calvin have, they always know what the other is going to say😂
I honestly assumed THRAWN would be the one to have burned the trees on Corvus, and for he to be mad about that. History repeating itself. Her doing it herself took me by surprise.
That wouldnt really make sense since she pretty much idolized him in Ahsoka

That's Bo Katans voice on distress
I thought she was gonna get Minister Tua’d, but the way she ended up slowly dying of her burns, I’m sure she wishes she had. 😅
Perhaps she burned the forest to make sure no one could land nearby. As long as they burned, no ships could land. Well, until they finished burning.

Nadura really did not have a good plan dealing with Morgan
The New Republic being naive? Well, there's a surprise haha.

Why burn the forest? If the New Republic come looking for their "lost" ship, then at least you can say it "crashed" into the forest
