Today we take the no movement challenge a step further - by selecting the new random level up option in the game. The goal stays the same: I am not allowed to move, ever, not once. Neither the chest that dropped right next to me, nor a nudge to pick up a few gems, nothing. But surely that will be the only difficulty we will run into, right?

Another bug that happened in this run: Mad Groove did not affect any of they chests. Typically they re-arrange when the Mad Groove effect happens and you even have a chance one crosses you and you pick it up, but they stayed where they were first dropped.
Yeah, I'm also constantly getting in my lazy MG runs, and thanks to this bug, I'm starting to think that they changed Mad Groove, hope they didn't and that glitch gets fixed

Honesty is my only policy. If someone asks a question they deserve to get an honest answer. If they didn't want an honest answer they shouldn't have asked. Conversations are either with people who genuinely want to know things or quickly turn into people not talking to me at all (Which is usually preferable, if someone thinks judging or being otherwise intolerant is acceptable I am far happier not interacting with them at all).
I appreciate the conversations that you start in your videos. You are both entertaining and insightful. The only noteworthy thing from this conversation in particular would be that furry as a concept is not ALWAYS a kink. It certainly can be for some but the implication that it is always kink related has been something the community has had to fight off for an unreasonable length of time. That and there are many kinks that one could be embarrassed about and/or hide from people in their lives and it amuses me that you went this direction specifically with it.
Anywho, you are phenomenal. Thank you for the exceptional content.
People asking "how are you?" have different meaning based on the relationship between you and the person asking: some people just want to be nice (e.g. your boss). But family and friends usually mean it, they usually want to know how actually are you. There are also people that can actually listen profoundly even though they don't know you at all, but it's rare

As an autistic person, some of these social contracts are annoying even if I get when they can be useful. We should use them to make conversation better, not let them rule the conversations 🤔

I think the arcana that needs a QoL update the most is mad groove, just have it suck the chests all the way into the character.
If that arcana is used with Jubilee, however, it brings in all the items from the breakables with the chests on the floor. The items already on the floor stay the same (brought in a circle/semi-circle around the character).
Hey Dex, I tried this challenge for myself but I haven't bought any of the DLCs so I used the new character Space Dude with the phaser, and I got pentagram and found out that whenever Space Dude's passive gets used, it also uses pentagram. Thought it was very interesting that it interacted like that.
My standard response to "how do you do?" Is "well enough". It's amusing to see how many people it catches off guard. I have a near-pathological distaste for lying, and I'm depressed, so it being so context-dependent and generic that the listener can interpret it any way they like helps me to avoid some uncomfortable interactions.
I will occasionally tell people I'm close to the rare "terrible". They know not to ask more.
My usual response to "how are you?" ranges between a sarcastic "I'm alive" or a very tired "okay", so when I say "feeling good"- people who know me know that I actually mean it instead of just saying the polite thing
My usual response is, "The horrors persist, but so do I."
My division manager has started using it.
I usually go for "I'm alive", "better than expected" and "good".
When people ask "how are you" I just tell them "still breathing".
About what you said on evolution of evolution, magic survival doesn't have fusing weapon but it's more that one absorbs the other and gets effects based on the weapon absorbed. I always thought that it would be cool if you could stack those evolution together. I think I'm not being so I'll just get an example : imagine if you fused garlic and the bible and now the bible had a garlic aura around it. Now imagine you take the bible that has absorbed the garlic and get it absorbed by the magic wand. Let's say that the magic wand absorbing bible would make it so bibles would orbit around the magic wand projectile, well now you also have garlic around those, and imagine if you stack like 5 weapons like that, I think it would really be awesome

I did a few attempts with the bracelet and the paranormal life signs, it actually works but required many, MANY restarts

uh i just joined in a psychology meeting of some sorts halfway through the run XD my ADHD brain went.. wait? this actually makes a lot of sense. My ADHD eyes went, CATS GOING ARROUND MY SCREEN PICKING UP ITEMS, DAMAGING HIM, EXP HE CANT HAVE BECAUSE KEK KEK KEK. dude u stimulated both my brain and eyes. thank you XD

The way I see it, how are you is simply used as a greeting, and responding with hello or hi is perfectly fine to do
I decided to try this challenge after the Operation Guns DLC... I also played as Horse. I got the Fire Arm... and later the Candelabrador.. AND A WEAPON CASE!. It was a /very/ good run, but unfortunately, I never got a chest dropped on me after minute 10. Also, possible Evolutions were Fire Wand and Whip.
I kinda wanna see Dex dressed up as a German sausage now...
You should do this challenge with braclet instead of hats next 😁
I´m so dumb. I was thinking for quite a few minutes like "Dex you didn´t notice that bats are immune to cats clouds? What is that??" And then I realised it´s the weapon not enemies. xD
Every time someone asks me how I am, I answer "horrible".
Towards the end with death the hats can freeze him. I have been trying to kill him with only hats but no luck so far. I think my record is keeping 6 death's at bay before running out of revive.
What was worse: The wings on a no-move challenge, or getting bracelet?

How do you get random level ups??
It’s part of the beta build you can access it in the games steam settings
Then check the unlock tab in game

@@notashton00 You could just set yourself a rule that you can only select the first option on the level-up screen or something. Effectively makes it random level-ups

There is probably a reason why the proper response to "how do you do?" is "how do you do?". Or the french just say salue all the time.
I typically response to "how is it (going)?" with "it has to (go)". As if they really expect me to tell them about my sorrows, they aren't my shrink.
There is a cultural thing Up here in the NE of Scotland where they ask [I'm not going to type the dialect] "How are you doing ? " the ONLY acceptable response is "Not bad ."
I have clinical depression so some times I tell people how I'm actually doing ,just to watch them squirm 🐶
@@feckneddy Similar deal in much of Australia. When someone asks how you are, answering anything other than "not bad" or "good", will short circuit the person asking. It's one of those very annoying bits of small talk for extroverts who are too insecure to be around another person without invading their personal space.

I was wondering if you were going to use seals, at least to get rid of movement speed and other useless stuff you never want to get on this challenge. I think that picking what seals to use is what makes this challenge potentially interesting. It's your one point of agency (barring a candy box...).
Also, I *hate* that the game shows randomized damage. It's made even worse by the fact that it's not even true. That makes it so much harder to see how much damage your weapons are doing. It's a terrible feature that I really wish we could remove.

falls du nochmal random level ups für ne never move once challenge spielst und du kriegst ne candybox: jubilee. sobald da n vacuum rausfällt bist gut dabei. garlic is eigentlich immer gut, das problem is das garlic zu wenig schaden macht und den knockback erhöht. sprich garlic is n false friend in so ner challenge.

When someone asks you how you’re doing, the only appropriate answers are “good” or “fine”. Good means good, fine means “life is pain, but I deal with it.” Any other answer is rude, because nobody wants to hear about your personal problems. They have enough of their own to worry about.
I kind of love hearing about people's personal problems, though. It makes me feel less bad about mine!
Dont ask if you dont want to hear
Just say "Muss ja ne?", not sure what an english equivalent would be. That way the boss can engage further in the conversation or not with less awkwardness.
