Your video brings back memories. About 5 years ago my family and I moved from São Paulo, Brazil, to London. We decided to leave everything behind due to the complexity of dealing with ship containers, and take with us only the essentials. That meant a total of 24 checked in cardboard boxes, each one with 23 kg, plus a couple of carry-ons. We flew BA and they were extremely welcoming and helpful when they heard we were moving to ol' London. Even though I'm watching this video 5 months after being published, Godspeed on this amazing adventure!

A city is what you make of it. If you find negativity then that’s what you’ll get. And I highly doubt you’ve been completely all around every part of Houston
No its not what you make of it!Houston is very bad!Of all the places he could go,he went to Houston! This is realy depressing!
@@brunoheggli2888To YOU. And tbh your opinion is trash. Every place has issues and Houston is no different. I doubt you’ve even been around the whole Houston area to give a legitimate opinion
@@brunoheggli2888 If he's in The Woodlands that's NOT Houston. Its a northern suburb. Very NEW. Very MODERN. VERY Affluent. People come from all over the world to live in The Woodlands.
Congratulations to you and your family and welcome to the United States of America. We love you and are happy to have you on this side of the pond. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in your new home. 🌲🎁
Thank you so much!!
Mazel tov! Houston summers may make it hard to qvell but welcome to the Divided States of America
Welcome! We did the same thing 22 years ago -- and we turned up at Gatwick with seven extra bags, and the checkin agent said "I can't be bothered to charge you for those bags. By the way, you've been upgraded to Upper Class." And then we had to upgrade our rental car because we literally couldn't fit our bags in! Ah, memories...
Oh, and if I'm looking at flightradar24 correctly, you managed to get your compensation -- they made up precisely no time!
Sam did a fantastic job doing the loo review. You should be very proud. Passing it on.
this guys probebly win a lottery that they fly always?
The loo reviews are pointless.
when my husband moved from brazil to the uk 3 years ago, he THANKFULLY only one suitcase and one hold luggage. granted it was a MASSIVE suitcase. i can't imagine moving a whole family and 19 bags. hats off to you.
Wish you wouldn't have moved! The UK needs people like you 🥺🥺
You guys are so lucky to have left Uk this country is finished. Well done. Good luck for the future.
I wish you and your family all the best in Texas and your journey moving forward.
Wow, Texas, U.S.A. Quite a change.
Noel, My mom and I are thinking about moving to Houston, TX. I’ve been thinking about doing what you do for a career. Maybe, we’ll meet. Best of luck to you and your family! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
G,Stevens, you mean that in a sarcastical way right?
Really appreciation for you and especially to your wife for choosing to live along with parents in one house. Best of luck
Hey Noel, best wishes to you and your family on this epic move. Travel safely and hope you enjoy your new life and home. ✌️&❤️
Lovely video. Moving can be stressful and tiring but there's something surreal and exciting about packing up your life and taking a one way ticket. I've never done it by air but I've moved countries by train with loads of big bags several times now and it's always the same feeling!
Congratulations, Noel! I have had a similar dream/pull my entire life about moving to a different country. I think this video has inspired me to rethink moving my family and pursuing that dream. Life is to short to ask “what if” at the end. Sometimes you need to go close your eyes, jump, and spread your wings. Congratulations again to you and your family.
When I moved from Australia to the USA and back again a few years later, it took 4 months each way to be reunited with the items in the container. But its like Christmas when the container arrives and you get to unpack the boxes.
Why did you move back to Australia
@@jamesgarrison6430 Mine to know, yours to find out.
@Tim Collins damn how did u survive 4 months without your stuff??
@@jamesgarrison6430 I enjoyed my time in South Louisiana but it was for a finite time for work. I could have applied to stay longer, it was a hard decision but Australia is home for me.
Congratulations Noel and family. I wish you so much joy with this massive change and life decision. Wishing you and the family a very merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous new year. Lots of love from Australia 🐨💞🌎🎄
Congratulations on the move Noel! I moved from the UK to the States 16 years ago. It certainly took some adjustment at first, you really get stiffed on work-life balance here, but I wouldn't go back now. In fact, I am thinking of bringing my mum here for her retirement in a few years.
I remember travelling through T2 at Manchester on the 14th October, as you were departing! Saw the Sinagpore 350 taxi past the terminal, only to be surprised it came back not long after! Glad you're all happy and safe in the USA!!
That was the best video you've ever posted in my opinion. It was full of real emotions I felt like I was on the journey with you, it was great. I know it's not your focus but I would love to see more videos that talked about your big move and showcased your new home etc and real genuine feelings, pros and cons to the big move. It's such a big decision to move your whole family to another country but it's very inspiring, keep it up 👍
Wow, thank you!
Congratulations on ur new adventures in the US, I wish you and ur family all the best. 🎉🎉
After 15 years, it's Toodle Pip to the UK, but Howdy to the USA! Where adventures in your current chapter end, new adventures in your new chapter begin in sunny Houston! Congrats on finding your new permanent home to all of you especially Noel!
I have watched your channel for quite some time and absolutely enjoyed every minute of your videos, and checking in 19 bags is certainly an icing on the cake as far as travels are concerned - I wish you the best in your future life in the States. I hope you get to make the most out of it, including seeing some intergalactical spaceport action as well as the Gulf Coast.
Funnily enough, it's the same flight that Noel took a few years ago to go to Texas for steak before coming back to the UK which makes this video all the more interesting.
Aw Noel! We would have loved to have you in GA. It isn't always cloudy here, I promise! Glad you are in the US though.. We are happy and excited to have you!
I’ve only been watching for a few weeks really enjoy your vlogs .
I think you and your lovely family are amazing people.
Thank you so much!
Wow congratulations🎉Noel on your next chapter of your lives🍾🥂
Congratulations & Best Wishes to you All for the future
I applaud your bottle sir! Moving the whole family 👏🏻👏🏻 All the best!
Welcome to the USA!! This was an excellent video. Could feel all the emotions and also loved Sam's review. You have always been one of my favorite UA-camrs as you are so genuine.
Thank you so much!!
Very wholesome. Lovely video and full of love, which the world needs. Well done and best wishes.
Thank you so much!
Welcome to the USA Noel and family! So glad you guys are settling in nicely and enjoying life. Best wishes to you for the future and all it holds.
What an amazing thing to do and so glad you've been able to fulfil a lifelong dream. All the best to you and your family on this new chapter.
Congratulations on the big move! Hope the new life in Texas goes very well for all of you.
Welcome to the states! We are happy to have you!!
Sam did great!!! Awesome lad!
Wishing you and your family all the very best in your new home!
I know this video must have been a massive endeavor to create and edit but I want to say I thoroughly enjoyed it! Seeing your family's trek from the UK to the US was inspiring and thank you for your explanation of why you moved, it made perfect sense (although I do miss you flying over the english countryside) and I can't wait to see all of your new adventures in both channels coming up in the new year! Thank you Noel!
Congrats on the move Noel! Being an expat Brit in the US I know how scary it can be moving and leaving family and friends behind, but I promise, you won’t regret it! Love the videos, best of luck to you and your family in their new home!
At any time after your move, did you find yourself driving on the left side of the road?
Do expats keep your citizenship and passports so you can still access UK’s NHS (universal healthcare for the yanks on here) when major health issues pop up?
I can’t imagine moving three generations from somewhere with universal healthcare to the States.
You mean you are an Immigrant not an ExPat LOL.
Any one who travels abroad to better their lives are immigrants.
Welcome to the USA my immigrant friend
Did you get your green card yet
I did
Welcome to the U.S.A 🇺🇸 wishing you and you family a wonderful new life in your new home country, we hope you will have many wonderful years here! 😊
Wow!!! Holy crap man your a brave dad! Success! Well done! Enjoy it Noel you deserve it man ❤
Welcome to America!!! We are so happy to have you and your family ❤❤❤
Houston, we've got Noel Phillips!
Good to see you & your family have started to settle in nicely already. All the best for the future.
What an adventure! I think our family had about this much baggage when we up and left Canada for what wound up being two years in Nigeria. I was 11 at the time we left and it was the grandest of adventures! It was KLM from Amsterdam to Kano via Tunis for our last leg, on a DC-8-63 in Surinam Airways livery. I'm glad everyone, and everything, arrived safely, and wish you the best in your future travels!
Thank you so much for not leaving your beautiful dog behind. She looks like a (mostly Greyhound) Lurcher. I had a magnificent Lurcher boy called Brochan (Greyhound x Collie) and a stunning Greyhound girl called Neeva. Both have sadly passed, but I now have a Greyhound girl called Breagha (which is Scottish Gaelic for beautiful).
Congrats Noel, welcome to the US! So happy to see the future of the channel!
now you know why noel is so chilly when he flies around the world in low cost airlines ... traveling with 2 children + 3 wheelchairs + 18 bags ... crazy ^^
Wow, this is a pleasant surprise, there was no hint of you moving to the US in your previous videos. All the best. And always keen to watch your travel content!
I remember watched a video or two with large pickup truck envy…and I knew this day was coming.
Congratulations and good luck on your new life in Texas , so exciting xx
Thank you for documenting your journey. Dedication to your craft it seems exhausting.
Noel you have a lovely family. Congratulations on the successful move and much happiness to all of you in the US. Cheers from Alberta Canada.
Thank you so much!
Welcome! My father emigrated from the UK back in 1952 and spent his career as a travel agent. He made sure that all of us kids knew and appreciated our British heritage while loving our home country. Happy Holidays, and best of luck to you and your great family. Sam needs to do more Loo Reviews.
Have fun Noel, Hope you enjoy your future journey, ❤
All the best to you and your family in your new home. Looking forward to more videos Happy 🎅
Welcome to Texas. We’re happy to have all y’all here.
Noel you have some real serious guts! Such an inspiration! I am so happy for you all. Congratulations on achieving your collective dream. Looking forward to following your beautiful journey through for years to come. Much love from South Africa!
And I thought I was stressed out packing two bags for the next two years when I left for Peace Corps service.
Welcome to your new home. I look forward to your new adventures and am excited when you will be able to explore Latin America.
I'm sat here watching this video so happy for you guys. But also so envious. We have spoken about doing this move for a long time. I'm hoping one day we get to experience the same adventure feelings you all are. Congratulations!
Go Noel!!!! I wish you and your family the best!!! What an amazing leap!!!
So good to have you here in the US. Welcome to your new home❤❤. Hugs from Iowa
Thank you so much!!
Such a lovely family
Thank you!
Big congrats to you guys on a successful move, especially one of this scale!!
Great Job Sam!

Wish you and the family well on a new journey. Living the dream!
Welcome you and your wonderful family to the States! We have the best walleye fishing in the world up here in Minnesota. Enjoy everything this great country has to offer.
Welcome to America, welcome home!!🎉🎉
Congratulations on making the big move. I don't know if I'd describe 35C temperatures pretty much every day from mid-May to October as "nice." 🥵But to each their own. Best wishes as you settle into your new home.
Agreed! I had to chuckle a bit when he said it had always been sunny when visiting. Yes, probably, but also ain't always the case! At least a bit more sporadic, but more intense than Mansfield!
Congrats Noel! I’ve moved to both NZ and Canada, big change but the best decision I ever did and I know it’ll be for you too! Good luck 😊
HAHAHAHA.... Fun video. I emigrated from the UK to USA (Fort Worth) 21 years ago. I share your frustration over the container... I rented a half container for the trip. Took 3 months to get to me!!! Going to Austin today from Fort Worth too. Never dreamed I'd say that about my life when I was growing up...
Welcome to the US! Hope you found a nice place to stay, you'll love the good parts of this country!
Welcome to America.. happy to have you state side
Wishing you and your family all the best for your new life across the pond. I can see why you chose Texas, every time I have visited there people are so friendly and the climate is (usually) very agreeable.
Can hardly wait to hear Noel's UK/Texas drawl !
It will start with a clipped "y'all".
Hope you like the occasional hurricane. Good luck with your new lives!
Welcome to the USA. You will love Houston, I was there for a month and loved it. Best wishes to your new venture.
Thank you!!
Noel and Family, Welcome to America! You hit a bullseye picking Texas! 💪🙏
