I specifically selected this one (43") BECAUSE it has great viewing angles. It looks terrific to me from angles, unlike a TCL I recently purchased and returned because it had terrible angles viewing. I actually preferred the remote on the TCl, one of the nicest I've ever used. The Samsung remote is too small for me and its minimal design is confusing figuring out how functions. Your review is heavy on tech tests, not how it actually looks to someone viewing it. I'm very pleased with this selection (minus the remote!)
Completely agree. I have been visiting different shops for the last few days. I have seen this tv (43 inch) in the same shop twice now. I was planning to go with the samsung du8300 or lg ut8040 but now i have changed my mind. The colors and brightness (in a brightly lit showroom) are too good. People talk about motion blur. Watched cricket and football highlights. Couldn't find any such thing. Also i watched from an angle and there was no degradation in picture quality.
@scottweaverphotovideo how do you like the TV now? I'm looking at this one in a 50 inch. I don't know a lot about any of this before I need a different TV that I can actually see (I have a 43" and my vision has worsened with age. I can get a new one next but it's got to last me for years. Would you recommend it? I'd really appreciate a response! I need to do it ASAP. Thank you!
@RavenVapor873 I'm very happy with the Samsung. The remote is too small but I'm used to it now. I really like the Samsung interface. I can quickly select live TV off my roof antenna or go to online channels. Image quality is outstanding. Only changes slightly when viewing off angle. Best to check one out in person before making a decision.
I recently purchased last year's 43Q60C model, and I am very impressed with it. Despite not getting great reviews such as it's successor the Q60D, it is still a very fine option. I got mine for a bargain on sale. :)
The firmware update 1402.x that came out a couple months back updated the interface and improved the picture quality on the Q60C models. Along with fixing a few bugs. But for some odd reason you have to update it via USB through Samsung's website, seeing as Samsung took it off the software update on the TV. If you hit update on the TV settings the tv still only sees 1310.x as the latest update.
If you go by what the internet has to say, everything is bad except the most high end products that only the very well can afford. They do not consider the pockets of the average consumer.
@@blackoutmenace561 I showed my TV to a friend who has a LG C2 OLED. He was impressed with the screen, and the home screen layout. It's an edge lit TV but that does not impact on image quality.
Ok lets address the elphant in the room. the Q60 series hardware hasn't been updated in 3 years. The Q60D is still using the same exact hardware that the Q60A used back in 2021. So samsung is charging a premium for an entry level QLED that uses 3 year old hardware. It doesn't make sense. Im actually wondering if samsung will still use the same hardware on the Q60E models when they come out next year, or will samsung finally update it. The problem i see with samsung is they nickle and dime you for features that should be standard for the prices that they charge for an entry level QLED.
People keep saying "Get a TV from TCL or HiSense, it's the better buy", but none of those companies MAKE small TVs with any support for 4K inputs or HDR10. Lots of other 32 inch TVs use 720p panels and most of the rest use 1080p panels. That wouldn't be a huge deal if they could at least support 4K inputs and could handle tonemapping of HDR input in a semi-intellegent way, but they cant.
For the past several years my suggestion has been that if you want a decent 32" display, buy a monitor instead of a TV, since manufacturers have given up on making good small TVs.
That's because 4k on a 32 inch TV doesn't make that much sense. The TV is to small to see any noticeable differences from a typical tv viewing distance. So unless you are going to sit a foot or two away from your TV at all times then it makes no sense to pay a premium for something you won't see. Which is also the reason why every other tv manufacturer doesn't make a 4k 32 inch TV for that same reason.
@chazzx7897 idk 10 year younger me agrees with this, but nowadays I can always tell 1080p vs. 1440p vs. 2k/4k easily, i think others would agree. For me with this tv, is it handles the range fairly well, it's not like an 65 lg g4, which I have, but it might be the best 32 you can buy that's not a monitor. If you are ok with a monitor and have cash, buy the Asus PG32UCDM. It's magical and yes it's worth it
I just got the Q77D. Could not be happier. 120Hz and very bright. Who needs OLED? Very deeo blacks. Also it's competing with a bright window next to it, and no issues. WOW! Considered the Q60 for a short moment and noticed there are a lot of trade-offs.
Yeah, Samsung, really all big TV manufacturers, but especially Samsung, since the ks8000, has went downhill. After the ks8000, the q7 was released the next year, still a good TV, but worse than the 2016 ks8000. Than the next q7f after the first q7, got a bit better, but was now just about as good as the 2 year old ks8000 again. So they took a step back, to than go back to the same step they were previously, and they repeat the cycle. Make a TV, downgrade the same line up the next year, and than the next year after, slightly vamp it back up to the TV quality 2 years ago. It's so weird. Sorry if random and long or confusing

After seeing multiples TVs I cannot endorse this point of view at least regarding the 43" model , if you can get it with a good price, do not hesitate to buy it. I had like 10 different 10 models from different brands and you can see the quality not only in the image but the components. This HiSense ,TCL and so forth, do have neither the high ends neither the depth and colour enhancement that you could expect from this kind of tvs. AND YES, the price difference is meant for a reason.
Agree with you, for a commoner this TV at this price point is a good buy. Hisense is offering good features but again, its a risk, quality wise compared to Samsung. I have a Samsung 2013 model, quality of the image is still so amazing, great longevity. If you are unlucky with panels, anything can happen but overall Samsung is a trusted brand, nothing against Hisense tbh I don't know, never used Hisense but feel comfortable with Samsung even though there are few compromises to be made.

It's nearly $1000 and this is "entry level" and "lowest end". Absurd. I bought a 57 inch Samsung TV a couple years ago for $380, THAT's what I consider "low end" and "entry level".
You're paying for the QLED branding basically. Kind of like how people will pay 200 dollars for a Nike shoe, because of the name branding when you could have spent 70 on a Nike shoe and not notice any actual diff between the two.
Has anyone test , have or provide a PIP MULTIVIEW TV that actually does PIP and Pip from two HDMI sources not just phone airplay.?? why is this so hard to find.
Wall Mount VESA 400x300 The back of the TV is made of plastic and has a nice brushed finish. There's a single clip included that can be attached to either foot and used for cable management. Unfortunately, the inputs are recessed into the TV, so they're hard to reach if you wall-mount it with a fixed bracket.
Love abby's blooper accents. I'm trying to encourage my parents to try out Hisense/TCL but their brand fixation is insisting they go Samsung. They're also happy with a 50", so I gave in and suggested this TV. Better this than letting them go in store and get taken for a ride by some sales rep
Buy cheap buy twice applies to TV's as much as most tech based products. These entry level models are made down to a price by using the cheapest screens and components available. I know as they keep me in a job repairing them, use them at full brightness and the baclights will failed followed by the underated components used to drive them. Hisense models use underated connectors and cables that can't handle the current, so they burn out. Take Abby's advice and save up for a more expensive one or you will soon be buying another.
As someone whose been selling TVs for years the Q60 Line from samsung is my LEAST favorite tv in it's price range. The only people who buy it are the people who want the brand name samsung on their tv more than a good picture. Most average consumers issue with going the vastly superior TCL/Hisense route is they don't trust the Longevity of brands they arent familiar with over samsung, but trust me these q60s have just as much if not more longevity issues.
As far as you know, do TCL and Hisense mostly have longevity issues? It's always one of my biggest concern regarding both brands, since most reviews only covers initial use, or few early months.
@@bivitabrata3188 I hear more good things about TCL then hisense, but you could be that person who has a hisense last you 10+ years and a Tcl 10 months. Most LOW end hisense tend to have issues, i hear less issues on the high end. Notable high end Hisense do have a 2 year warranty and TCL only have a 1 year. If i had to pick one it'd probably be a tcl. It is a bit of splitting hairs though.
I bought a Hisense U8G back in 2022 55” for $600, that’s a great price for size/features and mind you that’s Hisense’s flagship model, it lasted 3 years I moved it from one stand to the other and the screen cracked from the inside, the outer glass was intact and it didn’t got hit with anything or nothing was a simple lift, move it down stairs and set down, I have a 75” entry level Samsung model MU8000 from 2020 or 2019 don’t remember and I have moved that tv many times and still kicking, so yeah if you want a tv that last go for Samsung even if it has worse picture quality or features.
@@yordan826 That is objectively one of the worst TV reviews i've ever heard. Longevity doesn't mean it can be moved around everywhere. Especially when you PHYSICALLY broke your hisense. Samsung televisions keep getting worse every year. I remember these mid-range televisions having better build quality and picture quality back in 2017 and 2018.
Was already considering it for the 43inch for PC monitor (bc black uniformity+blooming is great and view angle doesnt bother me in this case), but the second half of the video just destroyed all hopes for this one.
Where did you gwt that from haha it has better brightness plus updated software and the colors you can fix them yourself it just takes like 5 minutes with tinkering with white points of your TV but yeah if you don't know you're way around a tv just go and get one that comes with out of the box color accurate whixh even the q60c comes with , maybe go for the u6k
Most LG tvs have the best Imput Lag response times. Best Reliability, Best functionality, Best Motion. So IMO Qned85 Qned90. C3 C4 G3 G4 I feel are the best Gaming tvs. The Hisense and TCL have decent response times how ever their gaming motion is trash so is the processing and they constantly have compatibility issues using VRR and screen uniformity is questionable especially after the first 6 months. Samsung and Sony are good gaming tvs as well however, Sony Imput Lag times are at the top end of the acceptable range. But has other qualities that make them stand out with the PS5 plus excellent processing. But again LG I feel is still the top Gaming tvs. Samsung is has nothing IMO as an affordable gaming tv worth buying.
Samsung TVs used to be the crème de la crème. But they started getting more competition from other manufacturers and now they try to pump out a tv every 6 months, saying its an upgraded model. But they are actually getting worse and more higher priced. They are still using 60hz panels. Hell, 8K is out already. But they are going to milk the 60hz sector as long as they can. Props to Rtings for their reviews and honest opinions on these TVs. I don't buy any new TV without checking out Rtings reviews first. I'll pass on this one though. I have the Q60C and this one is "not" an upgrade. 💯

You're paying for the QLED branding basically. Kind of like how people will pay 200 dollars for a Nike shoe, because of the name branding when you could have spent 70 on a Nike shoe and not notice any actual diff between the two.
7:22 I didn't know that the flickering could be worse in gaming mode... just 120hz of backlight frequency ....
Just purchased the 43” today for $480
What is impression with this tv? Are the viewing angles as bad as mentioned in the review?
Has anyone test , have or provide a PIP MULTIVIEW TV that actually does PIP and Pip from two HDMI sources not just phone airplay.?? why is this so hard to find.
Thanks for the informations! 👍
Is there a wall mount for this TV?
Wall Mount VESA 400x300
The back of the TV is made of plastic and has a nice brushed finish.
These entry level models are made down to a price by using the cheapest screens
and components available.
I know as they keep me in a job repairing them, use them at full brightness and the baclights will
failed followed by the underated components used to drive them.
Hisense models use underated connectors and cables that can't handle the current, so they burn out.
Take Abby's advice and save up for a more expensive one or you will soon be buying another.
Bought for $698 at Walmart. True, when watching football in motion computer not fast enough. Replaced a Samsung 65 inch with poor color.
I will save your comment as a screen grab for a laugh to show others though thank you. Maybe you should start a TV review channel based on the carry-ability of all tvs lol.
@@flim-flammington Who said I did a review of the tv?, I was simply stating my personal opinion that’s all, I didn’t break the tv literally was not a single scratch on it, if you can distinguish the difference between an opinion and a review maybe you should start a UA-cam channel on how to be a dumbass🤷♂️.
One to avoid. Hope you will review Panasonic now that they have returned to U.S. I have owned 5 Panasonic's all ran 10 years or more with great video quality. Excellent review, thanks.
Panasonic reviews are on the way, don't worry! 😄
Has anyone used the volume setting to limit the volume of this TV. Samsung support tells me it is possible but was not able to provide me the manual where it states this feature. Thank you!
Só ir em som e colocar amplificar fica melhor
Just bought this as a gym for my home gym. Is it worth returning snd going with hisense or TCL instead?

Samsung televisions keep getting worse every year. I remember these mid-range televisions having better build quality and picture quality back in 2017 and 2018.
Because of the name brand, it is the only reason why it sells for a higher price. Just like Starbucks.
How do you calibrate the tv?
Was already considering it for the 43inch for PC monitor (bc black uniformity+blooming is great and view angle doesnt bother me in this case), but the second half of the video just destroyed all hopes for this one.
I like how the Q60D from 2024 is actually worse than the Q60C from 2023 in every measurable spec

Best tv gaming please.
Samsung is has nothing IMO as an affordable gaming tv worth buying.
we dont have hisense tv models in my country i know you love it but there is not
thanks for the fair verdict, the hisense mention was spot on !
Hi ABBY😊
Samsung TVs used to be the crème de la crème. But they started getting more competition from other manufacturers and now they try to pump out a tv every 6 months, saying its an upgraded model. But they are actually getting worse and more higher priced. They are still using 60hz panels. Hell, 8K is out already. But they are going to milk the 60hz sector as long as they can. Props to Rtings for their reviews and honest opinions on these TVs. I don't buy any new TV without checking out Rtings reviews first. I'll pass on this one though. I have the Q60C and this one is "not" an upgrade. 💯
My Q65A 50 INCH QLED died after only three years.
Curious - why is the image on your image of the HDR castle landscape more detailed for the Q60D than the S90D? Actually all the HDR images of the S90D are fuzzy compared to the Q60D, S95C, S95D on your website?
Does this tv have the soap opera effect?
Ouch! She was pretty harsh on this review, not what I was hoping for.
The first shot of the peppers clearly showed how bad it looks
The only problem with hisense is that it's a chinese brand and i have previously used them and sorry to say it's terrible. After 2-3 year there are dead pixels and even burn ins. Im only buying out of the three non chinese brands.
Qled is far better from hisense..lol..

The worse experience with this model. Stop working after 3 years of normal use. Ram memory is not enough to handle normal apps like Pluto or Max. The customer service war worse.
