which was your fav and why
All had good phrasing and were, most importantly, CLEAN. My personal favorite was the leftie with the ibanez for the use of squealies and traditional shredding (right hand focused) but a close second was actually the last player because his dynamic control was really good.
I’d agree, they all did well but the Ibanez player was pulling off some pretty impressive runs and adding in a few more dynamic elements that broke up his sound more. I also really liked the last guy, his jazz runs were very fluid and seamless and his bending was excellent.
That finger tapped key shifting legato run that you did in your solo though Brandon, that was some fucking tasty tech. Very nice.
I think I liked all of them!

The Brazilian guy at the end. His face looks how his notes sounded. I felt it
That vibrato using your right hand made me rethink my entire conceptualization of reality
Caio absolutely killed it. That was impressive. They were all impressive.
I liked Kameron's solo the most then followed by yours Brandon and the the first guy. All were really good though. Its awesome you put this together for these guys

Kameron kyles was my fav. Less generic tone for the genre, nice phrasing, nice and progressive, siiick dive, obvious metal roots (I'm biased)

@dufusbug heyyy, thanks man! And no classical anything over here haha, I just like holding the guitar in the middle, gives me a better picking angle for fast lines!
Same here. There are many more advantages holding it that way than how the majority of players, that I see, hold their instrument. Best of luck to you!

M8 all you need is 3 guitars. 1 acoustic, 1 versatile electric (stratocaster, PRS custom CE) and then a speciality electric for your genre of choice (flying V, telecaster etc)

Kameron because even tho yes, he does shred faster than maybe anyone here, his slow stuff goes to show you don't need speed if you understand the highway of phrasing, and call and response. Real music lies deeper than speed.
That being said... Caio.... What the fuuuuu my man crushed it he didn't stop just one long run 😭 very unique sound too.. definitely close second almost my first

first guys solo sounds like combo of santana meet dragon force liked the last solo as its almost feels like chords ebong played but you can simply see him spaz in to that beautiful sound

with the same backing track (and obviously the same instructor) they all sounded almost the same with some minor style differences. Gonna have to go with Kameron Kyles personally but im biased as hell. Im no where near as good as any of these guys but the areas i prefer to play are centered around Metallica and Grunge artists so i like heavy riffs with lots of distortion.

I really REALLY liked the 1st guy, whoever the Fook he was, I think Rendez Padgett?? His solo was nice and slow and FULL of emotion!!! Had a very Santana feel to it!!!! Very excellently done!!! And then who the Fook was that Brandon dude in the middle??? He had some very interesting techniques! Sounded solid and went along perfectly with the backing track!
I don't know, it's hard to say which one I liked the best cause they were ALL so damn good!!!! If this is what you get from taking this, what was it called? the 75 week guitar player? If this is how you sound after taking that course.....I would definitely recommend that anyone and everyone who wants to become a(shudder) "guitar player" should TAKE THE COURSE!!!! He's right, only BITCHES wouldn't take the course!!!!
I would take it myself but I'm 45 and been a musician for 41 years already and I'm mainly a BASSIST BITCHES!!!!! Guitar has become played out and far too common!!!! No offense of course.....I do know how to play guitar, but I realized that it's the Bass and Drums that make the audience shake their money makers!!!!! Anyhoo.....good luck to all the folks featured in this post, you are all, uhhh, how you say? BADASS!!!!! All of you have bright futures in the music world if you want to walk that overpopulated and very difficult to be noticed path of being a professional musician!!!!!!

How long were they playing before they started the course though?
I've been playing a long time and had a decent skill-set coming into 52wgp, but I had been stuck at the same level for a long time. This program really makes you be deliberate with your practice time and focus on making real strides to improve. Ive been in the program for about 7 months and have made huge strides in my playing and knowledge.

I really hate dorian mode and i don't know why but these were actually interesting....good job guys
It's mostly an A harmonic minor progression with a few borrowed chords sprinkled throughout, that might be why you like it more than just dorian
