    So, let me get this straight: he posted videos of himself, committing "fake" crimes, that to onlookers & law enforcement looked real, to get the attention of said law enforcement. He has now gotten that attention, in the form of charges. His response now is to sue these "corrupt and incompetent detectives" and have the charges thrown out?!

    When the dude called the "FBI" the person on the phone even called themselves the FBI. The Canadian version is CSIS which means he didn't even call the proper sources. Also when the police visited they weren't CSIS, they were just average everyday police (RCMP). So he never actually won in the first place

Honestly this guy is putting in bare minimum to get in trouble. He's doing petty crimes, meaning there's a possibility he's afraid of a harsher punishment then just being thrown behind bars. However the FBI is definitely not the people to mess with for a less harsh punishment, him being in Canada could possibly effect his results differently honestly I don't know as I'm a U.S citizen and not a Canadian citizen.

      The FBI has offices in numerous countries. Hell, the NYPD has an office in London. American agencies litter the globe. But I'm pretty sure that for anything less than Bin Laden's zombie the FBI would rather contact the Canadian authorities than deal with jokers like this themselves.

    The problem with getting the FBI to your door is that they like to move the door to the federal prison system (with you, of course). Faking something to get their attention on purpose is most likely a crime in and of itself. Most stuff like that qualifies as "making terroristic threats".

      Not sure about Canada, but in many, _many_ cases in the states, knowingly messing with the cops can get you in trouble for wasting police resources or possibly even filing false police reports if you phone them up on false pretenses and whatnot.
      I'm absolutely certain this goon would get some charges for making their life more difficult. There are far too many ways they can do that even beyond the reasonable ones. I'd be shocked if they couldn't give him a properly rough time in Canada over actually intending to get their attention for benign things, which implicitly is intentionally wasting their time and tax dollars.

      @@martinprovo2389 Really? My husband works at a liquor store and bar. He doesn’t party, but he doesn’t get home till 3 or 4am and has to work again at 2pm the next day. He will be sleeping from 4am till… 11am or 12/noon. Or… what about when I worked as a Personal Care attendant. I worked from 225 to 1145pm or later. I worked with adults with dementia and disabilities so sometimes I’d sleep in otherwise you can’t work properly when exhausted

      I personally grew up with strict parents and wasn’t allowed to even take naps if I were sick. I’ve had a job since I was 14,so 10 yrs now. So I understand where you’re coming from, but it’s naive to assume someone is unemployed just because of waking up at 11am. Not everyone has a job at 8am or even 12pm/noon. And people need to sleep, some do 6hrs or 8hrs and some need more depending on medications or health conditions

    I used to have a phone number that was almost identical to an FBI pH one number. You just had to switch two numbers. I'd occasionally get a call for whoever had that number, and I'd have people say they tried to call e and some man answered. I used to joke that I'd call the FBI number one day and ask if I had any messages, but it's probably best I didn't.

    That guy is pitiful. I don't think he's worried about being able to get a job, as I doubt he currently has one. All that effort and he doesn't even manage to capture the event when they finally do come knocking on his door. And then he goes around in a mask with weapons at night, cocky as all get out. He's lucky he didn't get confronted by someone who took that seriously and get shot. He'd likely sue the person who shot him though.

      Banning tiktok isn’t gonna do anything, if you think that would ever stop people like him then you clearly haven’t seen the god awful toddler bait that’s known as UA-cam shorts. It’s like all the people like that guy flock there because they know that kids not even in their double digits yet will see it and not realize how actually dangerous the stuff they’re doing is. I had to convince a child not to try prank calling using his mom’s phone.

    It says something about the hellscape we live in now that I found these to be not as bad as other "pranks." Idiotic, yes. Illegal, definitely. But I didn't feel my blood pressure shooting up as I watched his clownery as happens with most "pranksters."       A Public Mischief charge is for people who call the police to report fake crimes, or they are creating fake evidence to get the police's attention. It's not Disorderly Conduct. It's a charge meant for people who want to waste police time for attention, or they try to act suspicious to get the police's attention.
      For example: Calling the police and pretending you've been kidnapped will get you a Public Mischief charge.
      Yelling at a bunch of random people in public will get you a Disorderly Conduct charge.
