i don’t think she said she was a therapist in a literal sense. i believe she was just providing advice to someone. sex work doesn’t guarantee client-patient confidentially-you can tell anyone anything about any conversation you’ve had in professions besides ones where confidentiality and informed consent is required.

Agree. The first scenario I could see why the internet would go crazy over because to me it sounded like she was taking her life into a hypothetical scenario. Although my dad and her were together for 30 years, he was still able to do what he did, and my mom was blind sided after being a stay at home mom of three. What Ms. Elliott explained is real thing that happens, and she is 100% correct for saying it is in the best interest of people to have their own careers and lives outside of a relationship.
