    Hi your video tips on Macramé are very well explained and helpful in understanding the craft for the beginners like me. I would be interested in learning the process of dying Macramé cords and also how do I keep the finished Macramé products ,so that it does not get twisted or damaged, especially the fringes and strands.

      I found this website: www.ravenox.com/blogs/news/techniques-for-dyeing-twisted-cotton-rope You can buy fiber reactive procion dyes (permanent dyes for plant-based fibers) at Dharma Trading: www.dharmatrading.com/dyes/dharma-fiber-reactive-procion-dyes.html I dye wool and haven't gone down the cotton rabbit hole yet, so I don't know anymore than that.

    Do cords shrink when they are washed...that is if our project is dirty after some days, and you wash it then does it shrink,...also do the knots get tightened due to shrinking 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

    How do you dye a roll of cord? Do you untangle them first and dunk up the whole bunch or cut them into the size your project needs?

      Check out my golden ratio tutorial on how to measure cord! Then once you have decided the approximate total cord you will need, then you can figure out how many rolls you need to buy!

      3ply or braided as they are sturdier for macrame cords. If you want it to be even sturdier, synthetic materials like paracord for nylon would wonderfully - the style would just be different
