I came across your website and then browsed through your UA-cam page. Thank you so very much for providing such great info and tips. I discovered macrame in December 2019 and have been learning from online tutorials and finding inspiration from images online. I find your content very useful! I hope to get better and hopefully make it a source of income in the future. Thank you for all of your time making these tutorials.
Hi your video tips on Macramé are very well explained and helpful in understanding the craft for the beginners like me. I would be interested in learning the process of dying Macramé cords and also how do I keep the finished Macramé products ,so that it does not get twisted or damaged, especially the fringes and strands.
I found this website: www.ravenox.com/blogs/news/techniques-for-dyeing-twisted-cotton-rope You can buy fiber reactive procion dyes (permanent dyes for plant-based fibers) at Dharma Trading: www.dharmatrading.com/dyes/dharma-fiber-reactive-procion-dyes.html I dye wool and haven't gone down the cotton rabbit hole yet, so I don't know anymore than that.
Thank-you very much for making this video. I wanted to order macrame cord and get started on making my very first wall hanging but had no idea what kind of cord to purchase as it's been many, many years since I've done macrame (and I've never made a large wall hanging like I want to make). Thank-you also for the discount code and I've just ordered some beautiful cord from you!
What about making my own? I think I could save money, just time consuming.. rope is nit cheap.. I was just wondering. I love to make everything.. I love to learn.. thank you for the great video
Do cords shrink when they are washed...that is if our project is dirty after some days, and you wash it then does it shrink,...also do the knots get tightened due to shrinking 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Great video! I'll be starting my first project; a handbag. I'm a crotcheter, and will be using macrame cord. How do I calculate or determine the amount of cord to buy? Thank you! 😊
Check out my golden ratio tutorial on how to measure cord! Then once you have decided the approximate total cord you will need, then you can figure out how many rolls you need to buy!
Love this informative video! I may have missed it but what is the best cord for macrame keychains? Not the rainbows but the ones that look like mini wall hangings. Thank you! -anahi
Hi, I'm a macrame artist from Indonesia. Thanks for sharing. May I ask, this is a strange question, but I'm still confused, why do some people call it cord, some call it a rope in English, what's the difference? I'm still confused about making english subtitles in my video
3ply or braided as they are sturdier for macrame cords. If you want it to be even sturdier, synthetic materials like paracord for nylon would wonderfully - the style would just be different
