That banjo player is beyond amazing a wow what a great song I’ve been listening all morning you guys are just the best… All happy music I love the hymns and I love the joy you bring into my home as I do my work! And by the way I love the smile on the banjo player every once in a while… Ha ha!
I have been following the New Orl trad jazz scene for some 5-6 years by now, but quite unexpectedly, something like two years ago, have come across New Orl Stompers when they played with Shaye Cohn. At first I thought its just a group of enthusiasts centerred around grossmeister Kato Shinichi (tp) and his extra-energetic Tamura Makiko (cl), but there are constantly appearing some new jazz faces: few extra good drummers, banjo men, bassists, pianists, ... . Now I understand Tokyo is just a huge city and thats why there are so many high quality musiciansthere - on joy and happiness of all of us from all over the world who love the New Orl kind of music. Just do keep sharing, please, for I am positive you already have an army of devoted fans on all the continents.
This the sexiest Tiger Rag I have ever heard. There is no close second, altho I know Haruka Kitsuki does a dynamite version Forget about the 72 piece marching bands. This is a Jazz Dance Number. Roll On. Love Tamura's improv and changes.
I admit I don't like his tone. I have no idea if that is the instrument, the mouthpiece or his embouchure. Now if Tamura was the band leader and persuaded Shaye Cohn to visit more often...or possible visit NOLA herself it would be a great thing.

Yamazaki has no mercy on the piano, he's burning it up I love it--usa
Great jazz playing ,thanks
FANTASTICI anche se su questo pezzo il trombone è fondamentale però la loro bravura sopperisce alla grande la mancanza
My good what is with the trumpet player he is we my englisch !
You got that tiger!
In deutsch der Trompetenspieler iist Grotten schlecht.Mann bedenke er ist der Chef der Truppe.Alle anderen spielen Fantastisch!
I think the trumpet player (apparently the leader of the band) should get a new trumpet....
I think he can't Play the trumpet a new benefits Nothing😂😢

I like to listen to the cl player ,banjo player over and over ,not the trumpet ,player he has to practice a little bit more Michael
While that may be true, he still is good with the clarinet
@@timlocke8588 Tamura has her own band. Look on youtube for P-time Selection.
