I have lived with Stargardt's for many years. I worked in the computer industry for 15 years as a programmer and then moved into higher education and became a Technology Consultant then later a member of Institutional Research. I have used CCTV units and special zooming and narative software. I retired from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2018 and only then started using a cane full time. I will be turning 70 this year so believe me when I tell you that you can have a very full, productive, successful life with stargardt's.

I've got diagnosed with Stargard't at 19, after trying and failing to join the Navy. I'd been noticing a slowly worsening central blur since 11th grade, but had just written it off as needing glasses, and figured that they would take care of that upon entry.
Here I am at 25, and it just gets worse. And then worse. And then you think "how much central vision is there to lose anyway?", and then it just gets worse.
Stoicism is a virtue but sometimes you want to just get mad. Just gotta suck it up. Smile. Could be worse.

      M. LeBeau I’ve had Stargardts since as long as I can remember, my folks noticed that I used to look at things in an angular way when I was a kid so they took me to an eye doctor straight away.
I’m 24 now and I completed my education (albeit with my share of eyesight troubles at school) and nowadays I work in the textile business. I play football, I drive around the city and live more or less a normal life. It’s tough, but you just have to adapt. I know we may be on different stages of the disease, but don’t ever lose hope. Don’t ever curse your luck. You aren’t alone in this.

Stargardt's disease can be effectively treated by nano-grade eye drops. Please browse www.godforeye.com (Testimonials). All glory belongs to God ! God bless you.

My sister joined the Navy about 2 years ago. She traveled to many countries while the 3rd graders put them into staring straight at the sun. Now my sister is 20 and with Stargardts. She is no longer in the navy

It's no big deal. Stargardt can now be reversed by Lorati's nano-grade eye drops.

@@VividlyLivid research on the use of stem cell therapy,, many experiments have injected totipotent embryonic stem cells in the eye which attached to the dystrophic retinal cells and caused their regeneration. people regained their vision. if stem cells are given as much importance, this is curable. 100%
