- The good folks from Detroit Autorama had a display at SEMA 2013...And of course they had some crazy cars on display....One of the best indoor shows I cover...if you have not been...put it on your bucket list...very cool...Check it out!!!

They are awesome I'm a Volkswagen mechanic and I like the bug most but it would be better if it had a real Volkswagen motor :-)

I used to go see these back in the seventies at the south bend calvacade of wheels at the notre dame acc campus! they were called zingers and I believe they had models of them back then!

It just ain't gonna get no better than that, brother! They are small, sassy, and highly desirable motorizillafied creations. They would be most welcome in the manor house, on the hill, in the United Kingdom.
If that's a real hemi that's just sad. Why waste a rare racing engine in a Chevy that you can't even drive. But it would be pretty sick if it was a remote control!

I remember a group of these in the early '70s at the Cleveland Auto-Rama. They were called "Zingers". I never forgot them, it;s nice to see few of them still being shown. ..... Jim .

The Vette is missing the periscope required for straight ahead vision. I am missing the radical gene required to take that thing out on the pavement. Hot sauce & scrambled eggs. Thumbs up!

Scott, the VW & Corvette were originally life size models of 1/8 scale model cars by Monogram, called Zingers, made popular in 1971. There were several others like a Dodge A100 van, the famous Red Baron roadster, a VW dune buggy, 57' Chevy, and others. Promoter Bob Larrivee commissioned full scale versions of the top selling toys. @@ScottieDTV Looks like the axle in the front is fixed. If they don’t work it’s a waste, they would be very good RC models at least, I imagine with those motors they would be impossible to control, would be very dangerous to have someone on top of them!
