This is kind of out of the blue, and will inevitably be buried in the comment section, but I had an idea for better symbolism for the Nordic Commissariat flag. Rather than simply being based on the colours of preexisting countries flags, base it on this. Have yellow and red to symbolize the Kalmar Union. The Kalmar Union was the only time in history that all of the Nordic Countries had a single head of state governing all the nations in the north. And have dark blue and white to symbolize the modern flag of the Nordic Council. Just a thought for some more thoughtful meaningful symbolism than just "use all the existing colours."
The Kalmar Union is not a united scandinavia, but a scandinavia subservient to the danish monarchy. Blue and white are far more appropriate symbolising the nordic council.

I can't wait for videos on all the Commissariats! I hope the ones in Asia are equally fleshed out as I understand most of your audience probably resides in Europe and America and this may be impractical.
I like how, in the background music, you can hear the background bass music of the GTU (almost). Goes to show how the Eurocore was what lead to the GTU, due to being one of the most resilient to invasion, and some of the first areas to rebuild were European (including Britain, clearly, seeing as London was the first major city rebuilt). EDIT: also, Albion Commissariat video when?
There's a part of me that whenever a Stellar Invicta video comes out, imagines it in the setting of Star Trek. Some alien race attacks pre warp Earth, and after we fight them off and reverse engineer their tech, we go out as a _militaristic society…_ but not the psychotic Mirror Universe Terran Empire [that was intrinsically unstable and bound to collapse].
Sometimes we looked to the stars for hope... and for answers... sometimes we didn't like what we found... and while the universe offered us few answers, it was easily willing to confront us with new questions...
I love how they added benefits and negatives to how the nations run, I can't wait to see what kinda benefits or negatives could be added to a completely different nation they may play in the future.
It is amazing how an alien invasion is needed to put the bureaucrats and bankers aside and bring out that patriotic determination on which the nations and the European Community were founded.
I'd never even considered this style/method of presenting a Stellaris campaign until your previous Stellaris Invicta series's. But.. that's the beautiful thing about Stellaris, ya know? It's that you can make whatever "Head Canon" you like for it, and fully RP as the nation you've created. This is an excellent method of sharing that "Head Canon" with all of us. I'll definitely be watching the next episode(s) when released. :)
Watching this, alongside the video on the United Americas Commissariat, makes me amazed at how there's careful attention given towards showing how each region's history and culture "build" the Greater Terran Union. Makes me even more excited to see how the other Commissariats are built (especially the Eurasian and Pan-Pacific Commissariats, since we keep hearing about their famed industrial capacity 😂). It'd be interesting to see how these would be crafted, though, given how vastly diverse the politics, cultures, and ideologies are in these continents. 😅

Well eastern Ukraine is still Europe. So the war is still ongoing.

I’d like to see an episode on the Arabian Commissariat. I’m curious about the integration of Israel with it’s previously very hostile neighbors. (Very Niche I know, but something I’m very curious about.)
Pretty sure most petty human conflicts lost their meaning the Minute Berlin got obliterated by an orbital strike from a Hostile Alien Invasion Force.
spoiler, Israel survived alone making it the Jewish commisariat.
And yet historical differences continued to flare up following the war. The UAC had problems post war with integration and the EC stumbled with with imperialist remarks. It only makes sense that there would be some kind of flare up in a part of the world that is notorious for its conflicts fought over it.
@@Exodon2020 maybe most problems but not nearly enough. After all, were going through a worldwide crisis right now, we have a common enemy and not too many nation's feel the need to stand together
I'm guessing somehow that was solved before 2090 or the aliens nuked the problem away.

This new Narrator is beyond amazing. I'm glad to see the Greater Terran Union back in full swing. Let Season 2 soon begin.
So good ! The GTU is your best work ! As a citizen of the European Commissariat i valid your narration !
I vote for Albion Commissariat or Japanese-Korean Comissariat next!
@@Valokaari Templin most likely though that Europe was too diverse a place to smoosh together under one centralised government. Hence why we also have the Albion (Great Britain), Balkan and Eurasion Commissariats alongside the European and Nordic Commissariats.
That sounds ineresting at least the symbols of the nordic countries would still be...
The narrator is awesome! Love the voice and the gravity (and the focus) he delivers. Perfect for this episode. Europe has never sounded more cool to my ears. Keep up with the excellent work, sir!

Not that this needs to be said, but the Greater Terran Union is probably one of the coolest science-fiction ideas and stories I’ve heard in a long time, and the fact that you guys made it is even better. Great job guys 👍
Would love to see a pic of that EuroCorp division soldier belting that Supremacist. That would be an iconic image. And a pic of their commander later in an interview, giving his best Wolverine curled-lip grunt "We don't have time for that bullshit."
when asked about the incident.
"The GTU has no patience for this bullshit"
This sound more badass than it has any right to be.
I like this one, it's really unique to Hollywood movies at least. And it makes sense that europe of all places would be the origin of the millitary war machine known as the GTU.
I can't wait for videos on all the Commissariats! I hope the ones in Asia are equally fleshed out as I understand most of your audience probably resides in Europe and America and this may be impractical.
“The GTU has no patience for this bullshit.”
Now that’s a High Marshall I can stand behind!! 😆
"The GTU has no time for this bullshit" is now my new favorite quote

[CONFUSED AND DISTRESSED ALIEN SCREAMING]
The Nordic Commissariat is separate from the European one.
Makes a huge change to see a region other than the USA portrayed in sci-fi, and in a positive light as well.
This needs a book, my god it's good!
Been trying to write one but still to little information
I want "The GTU has no patience for this bullshit." on a mug.
👍
I love how they added benefits and negatives to how the nations run, I can't wait to see what kinda benefits or negatives could be added to a completely different nation they may play in the future.
That has made me proud to be a European once again
It is amazing how an alien invasion is needed to put the bureaucrats and bankers aside and bring out that patriotic determination on which the nations and the European Community were founded.
I cannot believe could feel so much patriotism for a fictional commissariat. You guys are amazing storytellers and worldbuilders!
Yes, finnaly the European commesariat gets a video, wich was great by the way.
The quality of storytelling gives me overwhelming feelings of patriotism for a country that doesn't exist

Damm, this made me be even more proud to be European, I hope one day a European federation becomes true
