    Fantastic review and video! We have just been in Koh Phi Phi this week and the whole island is stunning. Fortunately, a greater reactivation is already seen and a greater arrival of tourists to the island is denoted too. We totally agree with your recommendation and it is advisable to stay and enjoy Phi Phi Island for several days, there are so many awesome things to do and such wonderfull places to visit!!! a big hug and many greetings from Chile!

      @@houmanrosie I went to Koh Lipe as a day trip from Langkawi in Malaysia where I was staying for 1 week in Jan 2017 and then in Feb 2018 I stayed in Ao Nang/Krabi for a few days, then to Koh Phi Phi for 3 nights as mentioned before, then from there to Koh Lanta for 1 night and then onto Koh Lipe (3 nights). Koh Lanta to Koh Lipe speedboat ride was bumpy and long stopping at Koh Kradan, Koh Muk and Koh Ngai along the way.
      Most people would recommend going to Pak Bara Pier in Satun Province from either Ao Nang/Krabi or Hat Yai but I think the easier route maybe from Langkawi in Malaysia on a ferry which takes 1.5 hours. Langkawi is a very beautiful island in Malaysia that I would also recommend for staying a few nights. These are my recommendations.

      Hey Shannon! Thank you so much for your comment and suggestions. We've had a number of others mention similar to us in the recent videos and it's something that we are aiming to improve on for sure in the coming videos to provide more value :)
      We stayed at Phi Phi Bayview Resort and paid around $60 per night. It was a pleasant stay although when we were there, they were just starting back up and a lot of the amenities (such as the pool, breakfast, etc) were not open. There were several better accommodations available closer to the center which we would have picked over the accommodation that we booked.

    • @houmanrosie
      @houmanrosie  2 роки тому +1

      Both Rosie and myself did extensive solo traveling before. It’s the best thing you can do and as you travel around the world you see that people are generally very kind and helpful. But always do have your guards up too - as is the case anywhere really.
      My recommendations are to research places that you’re going, join facebook groups related to that location (eg Thailand Expat Group, etc), make connections with locals and have that in your contact list. This can even be your AirBnB host, etc. And most importantly, have fun!
      Solo travel is amazing as you’re going places based on what YOU like to do on your own terms. Have a blast.

    hii.. really enjoyed the video ! just wondering, did you have to book the snorkeling tour online in advance??

    • @houmanrosie
      @houmanrosie  2 роки тому

      No advance booking is really necessary - there were plenty of tour options if you’re staying on the island. I recommend getting pricing from a couple of different people in the main part of the island and going with the one that you like. You’d likely save money that way too instead of booking a package online

      Hi Chris, Thailand/Bali or even Vietnam are tropical countries so it is nice all year around. But it won't be as fun during rainy season, which is around June to October for the most part.

    아주 멋진 영상과 더불어 전문가의 손길이 느껴지는 편집과, 설명, 촬영에 9분동안 집중해서 보았습니다. 나도 피피섬을 3번 방문했지만 현재는 코로나로 가지 못하고 있는데 영상으로나마 만나게되어 너무 좋았습니다.

      I don’t remember frankly 😂 but I do remember asking a few different people for pricing and they were all about the same. I recommend asking a few people for the pricing and then going with one. We went on the afternoon trip and there were much less people as most go on the morning tour. Have an amazing time!

    • @houmanrosie
      @houmanrosie  2 роки тому +1

      Our hotel was Ok (not the greatest Wifi so can't recommend it). But the WiFi at the Cafes in the main area of Phi Phi were extremely fast so I was usually working from there as we just stayed a couple of nights. I would recommend reaching out to the hotel(s) that you are interested in booking with and asking for their wifi speeds
