Fantastic review and video! We have just been in Koh Phi Phi this week and the whole island is stunning. Great video I have done day trips to Phi Phi from Phuket and Krabi at different times. And I stayed at Phi Phi for 3 nights on another Thai trip. Definitely my favourite Thai island along with Koh Lipe in the deep south

@@houmanrosie I went to Koh Lipe as a day trip from Langkawi in Malaysia where I was staying for 1 week in Jan 2017 and then in Feb 2018 I stayed in Ao Nang/Krabi for a few days, then to Koh Phi Phi for 3 nights as mentioned before, then from there to Koh Lanta for 1 night and then onto Koh Lipe (3 nights). Koh Lanta to Koh Lipe speedboat ride was bumpy and long stopping at Koh Kradan, Koh Muk and Koh Ngai along the way. Most people would recommend going to Pak Bara Pier in Satun Province from either Ao Nang/Krabi or Hat Yai but I think the easier route maybe from Langkawi in Malaysia on a ferry which takes 1.5 hours. Hi Hany! Unfortunately we don't remember the exact restaurant name but it's near the center of Phi Phi Don (roughly around a 20 minute walk from the Pier, once you get towards the center of the town, you'll see the beach front restaurants. This is one of them).

Ok so we were just there for 5 days because I'm running out of Thai Islands and we had a few days to kill before meeting a mate in Phuket on route to the last inhabited island I hadn't visited yet (along with several uninhabited ones), so we figured we may as well tick it off the list. Good points - the diving is fun and pretty good. Snorkeling with reef sharks off Shark Point was fun. The snorkeling is a bit average elsewhere but OK. We had our mountain bikes which made getting around easier. The bad - it's like Patong Lite. If you like Phuket especially Patong then you'll like Phi Phi, but if you don't (we hate Phuket) then you won't. The infrastructure (walking street etc) is terrible even by Thai standards. It's all so shabby. The beaches are average. Maya Bay is naff - it's a paddling pool for tourists. The general tourist vibe is pretty bad - lots of Russians and Bogan/Chav tourists. Overall it's probably the second worst island in Thailand (beaten only by the crappy one off Pattaya). This is just my opinion as a well traveled slightly older diver/hiker/cyclist. I'm glad you liked it, but I think you may revisit your opinion once you've been to a few other islands.
@@houmanrosie welcome. There are cats not dogs on the island because it's Muslim, as are most islands down South. I love the cats, but...they all have to cr@p somewhere and that somewhere is the beach 💩😬😅 Also if you are wondering why they are putting two big tanks under the walking street - they are sewerage tanks because Central (biggest property company in Thailand) have bought up a huge chunk of that central 'downtown' area and are going to redevelop it. So it's about to become even more Patong-like, for better or worse. If you are still there it's worth popping out to shark point to snorkel with the reef sharks. They are big and only in about 3m of water. Don't worry they are more scared of you than you are of them. But if you fancy a bit of 'action' then there is a lot of different things to do on Phuket. I will say that the floating resorts of Khao Sok is a great experience. Even the cheapest bungalows on the water are OK. It's not *too* far from Phuket. And although I said I wouldn't mention it on here - Koh Lipe has arguably the most beautiful beaches in Thailand especially on the islands next to Lipe in the National Park. You can get a longtail cheap and have an insanely nice beach to yourself for as long you like. I recommend you stay on Sunrise Beach (stunning), although we stayed at Pooh Bar and Resort in the middle of the island because it's just so convenient for both beaches and restaurants etc and their deluxe rooms are great. Lipe is similar in geography to Phi Phi with better beaches, a better class of tourist (LOL) and way more laid back. We went for a few days and stayed for a month! Great diving and snorkeling. Super video ❤
Top notch video; just added Phi Phi Island to my bucket list. I will be in Thailand next year end of September till the middle of October … what’s the best way to reach Phi Phi from Bangkok?
Thanks Kenneth! Happy to see that you liked the video. To get to Phi Phi, you can take a ferry or speedboat from either Phuket (around 2 hours) or Krabi (around 90 minutes). Both are also great places to stay for a few days and explore and you can fly down from Bangkok
Amazing video , Love this!!!!
Thank you so much ❤️ so happy to see that you liked it
Love the place… I love to visit in future. In my bucket list.
You will love it :D we want to go back as well
😮😮😮nice place
Very, very nice video! I'm filming myself and i can see you did put a lot of work for this video! Thanks for sharing, i watched 2 times. We are heading there soon. Greetings :)
Glad you liked the video ❤️

wonderful
You two are a lovely couple. Keep making videos. I will watch.
Thank you so much ❤️
Excellent. looking forward to visit.
Have fun!
how much was the longboat ride around the islands?
I don’t remember unfortunately but there are several people offering it on the island and the prices were all similar and fair. We will do a better job mentioning pricing in the coming videos :)
wow
You both are so lovely and very nice vlog and honest and good recommendation.
Thank you so much 😊 glad you liked the video!
I have new subscribed to your channel. for Thailand 😉👍
Thank you so much - we are so happy to have a Thai friend here :D
what hotels are good to stay in with good wifi connection for work?
Our hotel was Ok (not the greatest Wifi so can't recommend it). But the WiFi at the Cafes in the main area of Phi Phi were extremely fast so I was usually working from there as we just stayed a couple of nights. I would recommend reaching out to the hotel(s) that you are interested in booking with and asking for their wifi speeds
Great Vlog.. ❤️ what camera you use?
Thank you so much ♥ For cameras we're mostly using the Sony A7Siii and Go Pro Hero9
Hi, how much did you pay for the snorkeling trip ?
Hi Hien! We actually didn't write it down (as we normally do). However, when booking I asked a few different places on the Island and they all gave me the same price and it was reasonable. Sorry to not give you better information but we'll be doing a better job at providing these kinds of info's for future videos :)
Would have been nice if u put the price for the boat trip and hotel but nice video and also what drone r using ?
Thanks for the feedback Bi - yeah we’re adding those infos to our recent videos and aiming to do a better job at those details. Using DJI Air 2S
Amazing content! Planning to visit Phi Phi on April. Could you let us know how much was the half day long tail boat trip cost?
Thank you so much! We get that asked quite often but unfortunately we didn't write it down :( However, the price was reasonable and I remember asking a few different people and agencies and they all gave me the same price and it seemed fair. Sorry to not give you a better answer but we will be doing a better job of recording and mentioning these kinds of information on future videos. Thanks for watching! :)
