Fantastic review and video! We have just been in Koh Phi Phi this week and the whole island is stunning. Great video I have done day trips to Phi Phi from Phuket and Krabi at different times. And I stayed at Phi Phi for 3 nights on another Thai trip. Definitely my favourite Thai island along with Koh Lipe in the deep south
Thanks for sharing! So glad you also got to stay on the island for the 3 nights - that's perfect. It's also our favorite island in the south of Thailand 🙌
@@brothersman524 yeah we heard about it! Haven't been there before - will definitely add it to the list once we're back in the South again. Thanks much for the recommendation!
@@houmanrosie I went to Koh Lipe as a day trip from Langkawi in Malaysia where I was staying for 1 week in Jan 2017 and then in Feb 2018 I stayed in Ao Nang/Krabi for a few days, then to Koh Phi Phi for 3 nights as mentioned before, then from there to Koh Lanta for 1 night and then onto Koh Lipe (3 nights). Koh Lanta to Koh Lipe speedboat ride was bumpy and long stopping at Koh Kradan, Koh Muk and Koh Ngai along the way. Most people would recommend going to Pak Bara Pier in Satun Province from either Ao Nang/Krabi or Hat Yai but I think the easier route maybe from Langkawi in Malaysia on a ferry which takes 1.5 hours. Langkawi is a very beautiful island in Malaysia that I would also recommend for staying a few nights. These are my recommendations.

Thanks Kenneth! Happy to see that you liked the video. To get to Phi Phi, you can take a ferry or speedboat from either Phuket (around 2 hours) or Krabi (around 90 minutes). Both are also great places to stay for a few days and explore and you can fly down from Bangkok

If you want to be secluded, there's also a lot of resorts that you'd need to take a boat to - good for a romantic chill getaway but it'll be more difficult for you to go to the main part of town as it would require a boat ride.

Our hotel in Phi Phi was good although I can't say it was the best accommodation necessarily. But what I would say, if you're looking to be near the shops and restaurants, get a resort/hotel near the main Pier as you'll be more centrally located. If you want to be secluded, there's also a lot of resorts that you'd need to take a boat to - good for a romantic chill getaway but it'll be more difficult for you to go to the main part of town as it would require a boat ride.
Which hotel is this? And how much a night?
Hi Lila! We stayed at Phi Phi Bayview Resort and paid around $60 per night. It was a pleasant stay although when we were there, they were just starting back up and a lot of the amenities (such as the pool, breakfast, etc) were not open. There were several better accommodations available closer to the center which we would have picked over the accommodation that we booked.
@@houmanrosie thank you. I probably wont prebook anything then. Better go walk around as I wanna stay in the center. Seem pretty quiet to be walking alone at night
Is it relatively safe on PHI PHI? Or do we have to be on guard? 😊
it's pretty safe there haven't had any issues in thailand
*Dear favorite couple, please let us know in the reply section the hotel you stayed in Phi Phi island, I would like to book as well.*
