I'm French here ! For the translation at the end : Mission accomplished. The Germans have been pushed back and thanks to your help we had the time to evacuate a lot of injured soldiers and civilians, they will be very useful, the war is far to be over. :) (I hope I'm right ^^) Good video as always Raptor ! keep it up.
It is often underestimated How good the french fought in the second World war, the only thing that lead to their defeat was te leaders. Germany had, without the brilliant plan, been defeated.
I'm thinking that roller thing is an armoured wine cask. You do need to make sure you don't lose any to enemy fire. They are French afterall :) Vive La France, allez les blues!
Translation for the french text at the end: "Mission accomplished. The Germans have been held off and thanks to you we had time to evacuate a lot of wounded soldiers and civilians, they'll be very useful for us, the war is far from over."
"The Germans were pushed back, and thanks to you we had time to evacuate our wounded soldiers and civilians , they will be usefull, the war is far from over" sorry for my bad english :(
O7 Actually British, French, and Belgian troops were evacuated. I think it was a total of 800,000 or 200,000 troops that were evacuated altogether. Hitler did not press hard enough especially with the air attacks. The Miracle of Dunkirk insured that these men would return to fight. As for artillery I would go with the 75mm Pack Howitzer M1.
Mission accomplished. The Germans were repulsed and thanks to you we have had time to evacuate many wounded soldiers and civilians. They will be very useful. The war is far from over.
Cool mission! Could need some finetuning, but still a really cool idea. There should be far more missions for the early years of the war. Especially with mods like "Battle of France" or even the "GSM"!
I speak french, i will try to translate but sorry for the bad english : "Germans were pushed back thanks to you and we had the time to evacuate our wounded soldiers and civilians, they will be verry usefull to us, the war is not finished yet"
I have seen the SOMUA MCG truck at the Saumur Tank Museum! It's a combat engineer/gun tractor vehicle, so the roller thing on the front is a road-roller.
o7. I think it may have been the Schwerer Gustav and Dora railroad guns. They were the biggest guns ever made, and they were devastating to the Allies. By the way, all of the British and French heavy equipment and tanks had to be abandoned on the beach during Operation Dynamo.
I am sure this is very late to comment on seeing that it is more than a year after the video was posted. But in my opinion, to answer your question about "what was the best large calibre gun of World War 2, it was the German "88" and the reason for that is ten-fold. It had multiple variants obviously and was originally created and used solely as a Flak Gun. But as the war went on and they began to use it for Artillery and Anti-Tank, as well as Anti-Infantry. It could punch through any Allied Armor and at distances that allowed for the gunners to be relatively safe.
Excuse me, but so who could go play in the Wargaming Dunkirk Collaboration Game within this UA-cam Channel asap, please? Once again, thank you all so much! Amen!
intresting Video..but rember they had Luftwaffe too, and there a shittone of more men, behind Those how attacked here, and also other pockets around or Close to Dunkirk too.
Nice mod, nice to see the actual begining of the war,but there was sacrifice all over France ,St Vallerey En Caux don,t think that is how it is spelled, but they left the Highland 51st Div,10,000 guys to make sure that this was able to happen, the German commander the Scot,s took on that day was later known as the Dessert Fox,Erwin Rommel, the HD hardly ever get mention for its sacrifice love to see a mod a movie a game any thing about that,25pdr would be my gun for the British forces and the 88mm for the Germans
Interesting fact: During the Dunkirk evacuation in WW2, Captain Jack “Mad Jack” Churchill KILLED A GERMAN SOLDIER WITH A BOW AND ARROW. warinfographic.wixsite.com/warinfographic/dunkirk
My French is horrible, but I can try: "The Germans have been repushed(?) and thanks to you we have had the time for evacuating many of the hurt soldiers and civilians. They will be very useful (for us, to us?), the war is far from being finished." My apologies to the Francophones reading this. I probably butchered your language.

the "roller" in front of the halftrack is used for crossing ditchs and not get stuck with the normal bumper
it didnt always work tho

10.12 was a great shot hit your own man lol. Nice one. That will teach him to get in your line of fire.
We shall fight on the beaches we shall fight on the landing round we shall fight in the hills in the cities in the streets we shall never surrender

The roller is for flour to make pastries during battle
vive la france et raptor

"Ayy lmao, we rekt the germans"
+Damex: Gaming Then they surrendered
Ahem Belgians, Dutch,Czechs, and Polish soldiers fought in Dunkirk (tho those were mostly exile forces)
I speak french, i will try to translate but sorry for the bad english : "Germans were pushed back thanks to you and we had the time to evacuate our wounded soldiers and civilians, they will be verry usefull to us, the war is not finished yet"

God bless the men it held the line saved many men
Raptor, you're awesome! This is what I asked for! o7 Flak88 for germany and Ordnance QF 25-pounder for the British!
o7. I think it may have been the Schwerer Gustav and Dora railroad guns. They were the biggest guns ever made, and they were devastating to the Allies. By the way, all of the British and French heavy equipment and tanks had to be abandoned on the beach during Operation Dynamo.
the thing on the front of those trucks are weights. when your hauling a heavy load you need weight up front.
I am sure this is very late to comment on seeing that it is more than a year after the video was posted. I think the barrel thing in front of the truck is a tow cable with a hook that's used to pull out stuck anti-tank guns, artillery guns and tanks etc
lmao raptor you funny as hell man! 10:17-10:27
Excuse me, but so who could go play in the Wargaming Dunkirk Collaboration Game within this UA-cam Channel asap, please?
Once again, thank you all so much! Amen!
if I aint mistaken the thing on the truck is a anti mine device made to detonate mines before the truck hit it
intresting Video..but rember they had Luftwaffe too, and there a shittone of more men, behind Those how attacked here, and also other pockets around or Close to Dunkirk too.
Great video mate !
Lol love it how so many people copy and paste the original translation from another person to just get attention.
I notice that.
Raptor the most and then also the most important artillery is the 50 ponder
Nice mod, nice to see the actual begining of the war,but there was sacrifice all over France ,St Vallerey En Caux don,t think that is how it is spelled, but they left the Highland 51st Div,10,000 guys to make sure that this was able to happen, the German commander the Scot,s took on that day was later known as the Dessert Fox,Erwin Rommel, the HD hardly ever get mention for its sacrifice love to see a mod a movie a game any thing about that,25pdr would be my gun for the British forces and the 88mm for the Germans
o7, best gun of ww2 had to be the krupp 88mm, terrified infantry, armour and aircraft
O7 88Flak 88mm all the way Raptor.
07 the best would have to be the German 88 flak gun, either in single emplacement or on an armored chassis
o7 I love how you poke fun at the armchair historians with your jokes about stuff. It always makes me laugh.
o7
I honestly found your channel yesterday but dang its good!
keep up the work!
Great video
Btw , love your game play along with your team members. Reckem
It's a weight so the truck doesn't flip backwards
the winch thing its a saw in the front of the thing
common Raptor on Normal diff? though you was so hard the Hard or Heroric was a walk in the park for you ;)
o7. Most important artillery US's "long tom" 155mm gun
I think the roller thing on the front is either fuel or weight
+Ewan Foley Like a counterweight? Only other thing I think it could be is a water tank for the engine or something.
Ewan Foley no my grandfather told me that tha useed it to rool over trees he was a halftrack mortar crew
Interesting fact: During the Dunkirk evacuation in WW2, Captain Jack “Mad Jack” Churchill KILLED A GERMAN SOLDIER WITH A BOW AND ARROW.
warinfographic.wixsite.com/warinfographic/dunkirk
Is there a mod on the alp front with the french versus the italian?
if its possible i would like to see a maginot line defence map please :D
o7 to the French 75mm
I think that one round thing is a bumper
Just an fyi dynamo saved around 300,000 british soilders alone
i think that roller thing is like a ram
o7 more of individual artillery to soften enemy positions
that roller might be a mine clearer. many vehicles used them
they used a tube with chains on to destroy the mines look at the Sherman crab man
They germans also used a vehicle that had a roller in front of it to clear mines.
its the French style look up French panhard
o7 the Thor was the best mortar in my opinion I forget did they get destroyed or captured
o7 it was something like the carlmotar
o7 great mission :)
he said millions of troops and its was roughly around only 400000 men
o7 pak 40 best art. ever
gg raptor
o7 the Russian Katyusha rocket launcher
It's my favourite Artillery piece
My French is horrible, but I can try:

Thanks for accepting my friend request on steam! I'm mausmouler btw
The tube on the truck is for barb wire or hedgehogs if I'm right can I have a shoutout
Not a winch but a mine-roller?
Is it used to sharpen knives
Hm strange, the last time I played the end mission description was in English.
Hey Raptor, are there any WW1 mods for Men of War: AS2.
Yes, but its on moddb.com and is not released yet.
I'm guessing that the "roller" is used for laying out barbed wire. Am I close?
i tink that roller was a rolling thing with a rope and a hook so it could be pulled out of the mud with what
+Tenpenny not that kind of roller tho
300,000 men, not millions.
Just to say operation Dynamo is the d day landings not evacuation of Dunkirk
