Does A1 Auto have replacement bolts that hold the part that contains the buttons? One of the nuts was rusted on the stud and I had to break the plastic holding the stud to get the plastic piece off the liftgate. Great video showing all the clips ad bolts holding the piece on to be able to replace that button at home.
Hello, are the glass liftgate button and the hatch the same button? Could they be used interchangeably? The part is extremely expensive in Canada. 75$ Canadian for a switch for a 12 years old car seems excessive to me. By comparison, I got the entire actuator assembly for the hatch for 40$ Canadian.
hello good morning, can you please upload a video for the same issue but for ford explorer 2015 xlt? i want to change also mine it is already damage fro liftgate button only.. i hope it will see my comment..thanks and more power to your channel..im always watching...
Someone tried to break into my wife's Escape and in the process broke the button...now that I'm looking at this video I realize the retaining pins are missing....yeah, they did a number on it. Oh and the button has just stopped working and the liftgate buttons stopped working also. My wife takes her dad to the chiro and he is wheelchair bound, which means until I get this fixed she's gotta put it in the back between the seats! I can fix them, but the parts are not cheap. What is the button called? Trying to find it...I found the actuter for the tailgate.
In case you’re still interested. Remove actuator (3 screws on bottom of lift gate). Then remove two screws inside lift gate, behind actuator. Push button housing out, pop out the button and replace. I just replaced the actuator and button and it’s working great, now.

You had me at 1:34. Im not replacing this piece of garbage im disabling permanently!
You’re replacing the liftgate GLASS button, rather than the liftgate?
If you’re replacing it it might be easier to just pry it off without removing anything and simply plug in the new buttong and snap it in.

Hey Guys! Are there any videos on how to remove the actual door itself? I can't find one anywhere
+MontrealAngler We currently do not have an auto repair video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking. 1aauto.com

Show how to replace the liftgate button , not the glass button. Your title should be changed.

This is not the liftgate button. This is for the glass. What about the liftgate switch for the liftgate???????
