For good parents, they are always focus in providing the best education to their children and spend more time with them as much as possible. Unfortunately, there are parents who appear to be centered to themselves and don't encourage them to become the best version of themselves. Instead, these parents are the ones who pull them down and damage their self-esteem.
Well, not all successful children were raised that way. In fact, some of them did not have the opportunity of been raised by their parents but they still turned out successful. I'm not arguing that the influence of the parents won't help, but I don't see it as a major factor in turning children into a better version of themselves.
I may have to give myself a pat on the back then. I took pains as a single father to make sure my kids believe in themselves and do not give up. Today, the first one is almost at the top of the ladder of success and I’m really proud of her!
Along with being a registered psychotherapist and a person of strong Christian faith, I have raised three successful children who are now all adults and doing very well in life.
