You can’t understand how this has really blessed me. It came just at the time I am struggling to get back to my feet with parenting. I could see that I am already failing my kids and I need to do better to make sure the children grow up to become who and what I have always dream of them to become.

I concur that a parent's influence on a child's development and success is significant. A good parent will always prioritize giving their kids the best education possible and spend as much time as possible with them. Sometimes, though, parents overlook how crucial it is to provide their kids with the quality time they require for a healthy development. Fantastic podcast for parents!

You're absolutely right, Sara. The Bible provides valuable guidance on parenting, including the importance of discipline. Reflecting on similar discussions, I've seen how biblical principles can serve as a foundation for raising children with love, wisdom, and integrity. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us to "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." This emphasizes the significance of instilling values, setting boundaries, and providing guidance to help children grow into responsible and compassionate individuals.

I was blessed with this. Now I am a better father. Even though I am not yet where I want to be, I can boldly say things have changed so much after watching this video. I am way better of a father now and my wife is super happy about it.

Its undoubtedly a significant goal for me as a father, but I firmly believe that true success is incomplete without God at its center. While worldly achievements may be celebrated, it's the values of faith, integrity, and compassion instilled through a spiritual foundation that truly define success in the eyes of God. By nurturing both worldly success and spiritual growth in my children, I aim to guide them towards a fulfilling and purposeful life anchored in divine grace and wisdom.

@@ricardofrancis5814 integrating faith into parenting can provide a strong foundation for both worldly success and spiritual growth in children. Instilling values such as compassion, empathy, and integrity through teachings and example can help children navigate life's challenges with resilience and grace. Moreover, fostering a sense of connection to something greater than themselves can nurture their spiritual well-being, guiding them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives. Ultimately, parenting with a focus on both worldly and spiritual development can contribute to raising well-rounded individuals who positively impact society.

the truth is that our kids are a direct reflection of who we are. They will take everything they've got from us. We are the ones that shapes their life and determine who they grow to become.

Parenting is really challenging because there is this pressure that we have the responsibilities to ensure that our children will become successful in the future. That is why most parents work hard and make sure that their children has everything they need from material things to education, to good health. However, there are times that parents forget the importance of giving the quality time that children need for a healthy development. Children need to feel that their parents are involved in their life by means of giving them the care and presence that will make them feel safe and valued. This is one of the most important things that parent should consider. It will help children become more loving and confident in life.

The role of parenting and a child's upbringing in shaping their success is a complex and multifaceted topic. It's true that parenting can greatly influence a child's development and their ability to become successful individuals. Parents' intentions are generally positive, but there can be various factors that affect the way they raise their children.
It's important for parents to provide a supportive and nurturing environment that helps children build confidence, resilience, and a belief in themselves. Following guidance and steps from a Christian psychotherapist like Michael Hart may offer valuable insights and strategies for parents to raise children who can overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
However, it's also essential to consider that success is subjective and can be defined in many ways. Success can encompass various aspects of life, including personal happiness, well-being, and the pursuit of one's unique passions and talents. Therefore, a well-rounded approach to parenting is crucial to help children thrive in their individual paths.

Very helpful podcast for parents! I agree that parenting plays an important role in the growth and success of children. For good parents, they are always focus in providing the best education to their children and spend more time with them as much as possible. Unfortunately, there are parents who appear to be centered to themselves and don't encourage them to become the best version of themselves. Instead, these parents are the ones who pull them down and damage their self-esteem.

Well, not all successful children were raised that way. In fact, some of them did not have the opportunity of been raised by their parents but they still turned out successful. I'm not arguing that the influence of the parents won't help, but I don't see it as a major factor in turning children into a better version of themselves.

I may have to give myself a pat on the back then. I took pains as a single father to make sure my kids believe in themselves and do not give up. Today, the first one is almost at the top of the ladder of success and I’m really proud of her!

Along with being a registered psychotherapist and a person of strong Christian faith, I have raised three successful children who are now all adults and doing very well in life. I have also helped many families who were struggling with raising their kids and I have seen that by making simple changes we can bring about profound changes in the lives of children.--Michael Hart
