I'm a journalism student and I've had mine a few months...and I'm already getting a disk error. Even after formatting and factory resetting it. I loved it at first but now its the bane of my existence. And I was pleasantly surprised by the weight too
Also, I HIGHLY recommend putting an edit or note in your description advising people to know their state's recording laws before recording conversations with others.
Woulda been nice if you held the product still for a moment near the camera so we could get a look at the interface for more than one second. I didn't see menus, navigations, ports, or anything really...
Question, Does it beep or make any noises when you press the buttons? I live in a one party state and I secretly record conversations. The problem with the recorder I have now is that if I have it in my shirt pocket and a button gets accidently pressed it makes a loud beep.
Hello! I hope you can solve my doubt. I have that recorder and stopped using it for a while. Then I wanted to use it again and it did not turn on. I tried to recharge the battery but it doesn't even react. What do you think it is due to? Thank you!
It’s a bad battery I’m sure. I’d charge it overnight with a different cable and plug. Let us know what it was once you find out. The battery is solid in mine.
Is there a specific setting for the microphone port? I attempted to plug in my Rode lav with a 3.5mm TRS jack and couldn’t seem to get the audio to record from the microphone.
I use my Sony non battery power mic. There’s no setting to get a mic to work. It might be the cord. Some have 3 rings around the plug, some have two. Some devices need one or the other.
I recorded the video with my phone if I remember right. You can hook up a lapel mic, one of my vids is filmed that way but forgot which one. The mic on the device itself records great clean audio too.
I'm having an issue with the playback audio skipping. This is not good for my clients whom I'm trying to get clear smooth audio to from their sessions :( Any idea? Also tried with a LAV Mic and it skipped with that too.
Just FYI. If viewers are in Florida, as far as recoding a car salesman or cable guy, or anyone else. Electronic interception of oral communication without their consent, is illegal. Just information.

Would this work well for students during a college lecture? I sit in the very back and have been looking everywhere for any decent recorders to pick up my professors voice.

Thats a great question. I dont think so with this device. You might want to find software for your computer to do that. Let me know what you come up with.
Not that I’ve seen. Once it’s deleted it’s deleted. I will double check tomorrow and if that changes I will let you know. I’ve never came across a recorder that did that I know of.
Can you maybe do a video on how to unlock this voice recorder if you forgot your password even if you loose everything, like resetting it or something. I lost the manual and forgot my password and just pressing the reset button is not working. I should of never put a password on it now I tell myself.
Not sure if you found the answer to this. My manual says inner 18, 18, 18 and then hold down the trash button for three seconds to reset your device. I am looking to see if anyone knows how to delete the end of a recording without deleting the whole recording. If you have any knowledge that please let me know hope this helps thanks!
Nevermind, after a bit more digging around on UA-cam, you have to go into settings, click "tools" (not the best labeling imo) and you can set a new password

I don’t use mine to record people but to make my own logs. I just overview products, no legal advice from me. Yes always obey your state law. Cheers

You might have a dud. Send it back for another. Mine still works great.

how do you set to record only during speaking and not all the time ie only when voice or sound activated?
I haven’t tried that mode yet. I didn’t know it had it.

You can. Click on recordings, then record settings, auto record and there you go.

Not from the device. You need to transfer it to a computer and you can edit it there.

I will soon. But hook it to the computer, open the external drive thats the recorder, copy and paste file to computer. It connected right up for me

Not that I’ve seen. Once it’s deleted it’s deleted. I will double check tomorrow and if that changes I will let you know. I’ve never came across a recorder that did that I know of.
bought two, both broke after a week. Froze mid recording and will neither turn on or off
That sucks, mine still works strong and I’ve dropped it on the concrete a time or two. Be sure to use the reset button to go to factory settings.
How can you download the audios to a Mac?

There shouldn’t be noise. Mine is pretty sharp.

The only way is to reset it. I had to reset mine once already. It saved the recordings to. Hold down the reset button for 5 seconds

You have to transfer and edit the file.

Mine stopped charging after 6 months
That sucks. Use a power brick to charge it. Mine still works like a charm
But how can you change file name on device
From me playing with it you can’t, just hook it up to the computer and change it there, it will show up on the device

Use the needle hole to reset the whole thing, see if that helps
I have the same voice recorder but I can't hear what it's recorded. There's no sound.
Make sure the volume is up but if it’s playing the speaker should work

This is the worst digital recorder you can buy. 1 week and its software all freezes..etc DONT BUY
I love mine and so does many others. Just use the Manuel to figure it out.
