The first real step by step. Input the perimeter and it automatically sets diameter. 100 power speed 125. Color select. I don’t understand why the only jet videos skip this. Thank you. I’m at work now. Can’t wait to get home to try
Thank you! I'm glad you found it helpful. The settings I used might or might not work on your tumbler, but it worked really well on the tumbler I used.
I first ordered a jig from Etsy. It's a 3D printed very hard plastic stair-step type jig. Similar to one you receive with the rotary, but much longer. I don't really love it and it barely makes it where the entire tumbler is in the working area, so where the jig touches it is not in the working area. Then I ordered a different one from Amazon that goes inside the tumbler and I think it is going to be wonderful! I will be playing with how to attach it to the machine this evening and if it is as great as I hope, I will provide a link to it. If it is not, I don't want anyone wasting their money. I will let you know, though.
@@MakingwithMarilyn I've ordered two jigs now. The one off amazon that looks like claw lol! Jess's craft therapy made one that I am trying out now. It's working well so far but I need it just a tad longer to get the whole working space in view
I haven't tried it yet, but my understanding is that a diode cannot truly etch glass, but it can mark it with the help of Cermark marking spray or tempura or chalk paint. I will try it, but I usually etch glass with Armour Etch because it does such a beautiful job. I've never etched glass with any laser, even my CO2 ones. But it will be interesting to see how it goes:)
@@MakingwithMarilyn I reached out to them. They said it does cost them more to paint the blue but lowered the price to match the white one. I like this company. They believe in customer service. They've never failed to respond back. Thanks for the videos. Love them
Thank you for this tutorial. I just got my vista so I've been playing around with it and watching a lot of UA-cam
Congratulations!!!
Would love to see a video on how often to clean the machine and how to clean

Beautiful color.
Thank you, Stacey!
@@MakingwithMarilyn you’re welcome! I’ll have to figure out how to do it. My machine had a warning and a strange noise. 🤔
@@staceycollins9232 oh no! We’re you trying to use the rotary tool when it happened?
@@MakingwithMarilynI haven’t tried the rotary tool

How would you make a tumbler with a handle?
I assume it's not one of the removable handles? I have not done a handled tumbler yet, sorry.
Can this etch glass?

I just wish they weren't charging 100 extra for the blue colored one.
It's cute, huh? But maybe not $100 of cute. Thank you for watching!
