  • Welcome to Quick & Dirty Tips for the easy way to raise your SAT English score!
Even though the texts have become shorter for the Digital SAT, there are questions that can appear overwhelming with the amount of words that are presented in your face. When this is the case, don't be distracted! With the Support the Hypothesis Question, there can be a huge wall of text which is hiding the Textual Evidence. Do NOT read the whole thing. Look for only what you need. So go to the last sentence or two to find the hypothesis, translate it to regular language, and find the evidence that is just a paraphrase of the translated hypothesis. Follow common sense, watch the video for detailed steps, and do the question easily and quickly!

But I think we should read all text. It helps us to understand the hypothesis better. In some questions we need to back up and read again because of pronouns or for terms that is explained above.

If the hypotesis doesn't use those terms, like in this case, you're good

I'd say still quick read through the text. Sometimes the topic may contain details that may be confusing so it is best to quick read it so you don't have to go back as much
