  • Welcome to Quick & Dirty Tips for the easy way to raise your SAT English score!
Today's question type is the Data Support Question. This is exclusive to the New Digital SAT, and something a lot of people have trouble with. It looks like we have to read a whole paragraph of text, look at a table, do math, and do science. That's a lot to worry about at once!
There is, as always, an easier way to tackle this type of question.
Jump to the end of the text, examine the claim being said, and determine if I want to find numbers that show a positive association or a negative association. When we are using numbers, we have three possibilities in terms of SAT DATA questions:
    1. X has no effect on Y
    2. X makes Y go up
    3. X makes Y go down
Narrow it down one of these options, and then look for the answer choice that matches that option according to the graph.
To make future problems easier, I also get into basic scientific method/stats usage for SAT English questions, so for more precise details and tips for super simple solving, watch the rest of the video, and as always, thank you for coming to the channel!

Sure sure! The main idea of what kind of text would you like? If you could give me links, screenshots, or other examples of the questions you're having difficulty with, I can generate similar questions and pinpoint strategies for you :)

In a study of new technology adoption, Davit Marikyan et al. examined negative disconfirmation (which occurs when experiences fall short of one’s expectations) to determine whether it could lead to positive outcomes for users. The team focused on established users of “smart home” technology, which presents inherent utilization challenges but tends to attract users with high expectations, often leading to feelings of dissonance. The researchers found that many users employed cognitive mechanisms to mitigate those feelings, ultimately reversing their initial sense of disappointment.
