Where are my fellow dcs tomcatters! I love this plane! I love the cockpit videos, I’ve watched all of them on this channel!! Too bad you can’t make more!
She is always in my heart , GO Navy , what I love about this channel is that I feel as if I'm flying the cat also and my favorite squadrons are vf -31(tomcatters) ,Vf-2 bounty hunters and (vf-27) Royal Maces and last but not least (vf-111) 🌞⬇️RS
Love it! My buddy's a Rhino WSO, he just emailed me telling me about cloud dancing after doing some defensive and offensive A/A training. Keep 'em coming!
The sights and sound takes me there sir. Thank you for taking us along for a ride. In my mind I played Rita Coolidge - All Time High while watching this. 031119-Philippines
From a sentimental perspective, yes. From a practical and economical perspective, however, no. It was getting quite costly to keep them flying and, by then, they were already transitioning to the F-18E/F.
Holy shit, those clouds are going by fast! Can I ask a question? Well, two questions, actually: As a Tomcat-fan, and a DCS-player, I'm a huge fan of the Tomcat's raw 'feel' - in the game. This looks quite smooth, which may be due to a skillful pilot, but would you feel a lot of side load during the onset of banking? Like, would you feel the yaw of the airplane pulling you sideways? Second: Would the plane buffet tremendously when pulling alpha, or even when just flying on-speed for landing? Thank you so much for sharing these videos regardless!
No side load, but it could definitely buffet under G depending on airspeed, alpha, etc. If there is buffet on final approach then we're probably way too slow!
Sorry, but that is a nonsense statement; you can't generalize an assessment like that. You have to ask the question, "best for what (purpose)?" Different aircraft have different strong points.
Miss seeing and hearing the old girl do touch and go's at Oceana. She is gone, but the flight simulator community is having a blast with her likeness.
amazing videos virus. the point of view is absolutely spectacular. TOMCATS forever!!
Thank you!

Tomcats!!!
Great video, One thing that always get me in the -14 is the great visibility from the cockpit
Maybe for the RIO, but not so for the pilot. The F-16 takes that crown.
Yeah, not so much for the driver. The forward view in the F-14 is horrible.
