You could not pick a better breed for your situation and I am so happy to hear about your incredible bond. I adopted a Dobie from a horrible situation some time ago and after only being with me for less than two months, she proved amazing loyalty to me (even though she was initially distrusting of humans due to her prior 'owners'). When I adopted her, I already had a German Shepherd along with a Great Dane and one night, my front door blew open because the latch failed and a strong storm blew it open. I woke up at two in the morning because I could hear the trees blowing loudly outside. I jumped out of bed in a panic once I realized that the door was open and I frantically called my dogs to make sure they were still in the house. The Shepherd and the Dane took the opportunity to go out the door but the Doberman stayed right by my bed. I jumped into my car and found the other two dogs about 15 minutes later. They were 3/4 of a mile away when I located them. The Doberman was remarkable to stay by my side and not follow the other two out of the door. I will never forget that. Dobermans are wonderful dogs.

I can't get enough of the Doberman Pinscher videos. I have owned and loved this breed for several decades. They are so smart and emotionally connected to you and they love you so much that you can't help but to love them as deeply as they love you. They will give their life for you and will instinctively protect you with little to no training. They want to be your everything and to them you are their everything. The hardest part of living with a Doberman is when you have to say goodbye.

No ones likely reading this, but I’m writing this for me. My Doberman Zeus has fought a long hard battle with lymphoma for the past 8 months. Tomorrow October 4 2019 he is going to see his vet for his last time. He has remained loyal to myself, my wife, and my children for many years. He has stuck with us through hard times, and has enjoyed the good times. We have taken him to the mountains, to the beaches, on the lake with us, and nearly every trip we’ve made. When stray dog tried to harass my wife for a morning run with Zeus, he protected her. When my child was sick, he laid in bed with her until she was well. No one ever came on our porch without his approval. Once he met you and trusted you, you were a member of his family. He never missed a game night, a bonfire, or any event. These dogs are without question the most fiercely loyal and loving companions you could ever ask for. Amazingly smart, easily trainable, highly energetic. Watching his body break down on him has been heart breaking. He still has no quit in him, he is struggling to walk, his organs are enlarged.
He has been our family’s guardian angel for some 10 years now. He has served his purpose with us. In many ways he has done for us what no human can. He does not judge, he does not carry resentments. He lives each day to love us. Next to my kids and wife, spending these last ten years with him has been the most rewarding experience of my life.
He was always a real conversation starter. Everyone that ever met him was enamored with a big strong beast of a dog, who could be as warm and gentle as a teddy bear. All while knowing when danger is near.
To Trevor-Zeus saved my life. When I was at my lowest of lows-he loved me more. I hope you enjoy your years with King Francis. They will be some of the most rewarding years you will experience. Zeus will be put to sleep tomorrow, and it is extremely difficult. We love him so much that it is time to let him go. The cancer has broken his body down and it’s getting worse every day. True to his breed he will not stop fighting to live for us. The vet gave him 4-6 weeks to live. That was 8 months ago. It is now time for us to return the favor.
      Rest In Peace Zeus

I'd fist bump ya about the Doberman just because words fail to describe their character. Kinda Zen like you have one and understand.
The intelligence and trust in their obedience is absolute but if they defy you beware they know something you don't and will protect you. If I try to imagine life without my girl it ends in tears too. Awesome breed and great video.

I have a fawn female doberman. By far the best dog I’ve had. She’s really sweet and part of my family. My wife doesn’t consider her a dog but family as well. One day, I was stressing about my family and work. As I was talking to my wife, my doberman was looking at both of us. Needless to say, my wife hugged me to comfort me. Almost immediately, my dog came over to comfort me and nudged my hand. How my dog knew to lift my spirit is beyond my comprehension. Life would not be the same for me without our doberman. I’ll always remember what my doberman did that day to lift my spirit. I too can’t imagine life without her 🐶🐶🐶🐕🐕🐕

As a child in the 60's and early 70's, I remembered being mesmerized by the movie "The Daring Dobermans" and how Dobermans were a big deal in the 70's and early 80's, but seemed to fade from the public eye. Dobermans seem to be making a comeback and King Frances is a beautiful dog that represents the breed very well. Thanks for telling your story and sharing King Frances with the world, as he is an awesome dog.

This was sooooooo beautiful to watch. I say that whole heartedly. Lucy, my Doberman has been such a sweetheart and in the same way my previous dog, a pitbull terrier, converted my mother into a pitbull lover despite her prejudgments of the breed, Lucy has done for me in regards to dobermans. Lucy is my first dog as a Husband, as well as a father of 3 year old and a 2 year old. I knew I wanted a “real” dog, and my wife wanted something along the lines of a teacup such and such. So I did my research, and the dog that came back with basically everything I desired in a dog, pointed at the Doberman breed!
I asked my son when he was 2, what we should name her, and he came up with LUCY. We don’t no any Lucy, and we have never heard him say the name before, so it was such a surprise! But, because of it, we can now say “I Love Lucy”

My dad worked nights when we were growing up. Back in 1947, my parents couldn't afford a car and Dad rode the streetcar to work, etc. He was worried about my mom and us kids being alone at night. He located a great Doberman and rode the street car to buy her and bring her home. We weren't afraid anymore. She was our guardian angel. Later, when she was bred to a male doberman, we kept one of her pups, and named him Prince. Prince was MY dog. A doberman loves with all his heart. When Prince died at age 10, our entire family cried for months. My sister and I were talking recently about how much we loved Prince and how he kept us safe. It's been 62 years now since Prince died, but my sis and I both said that we still miss him. Bless this dear man who owns King Frances. So glad they have each other.

We really understand how you feel only at the though of loosing him. We recently lost our dobermann . Her name was Maya ( she's the one on the profile photo). It is soooo heartbreaking...... She was 10 years old and we had her since she was 2 months old puppy. Everything you say about dobermanns that want to be with their family all the time , is true.

I had really bad depression and anxiety when I was younger and wouldn’t go out, then one day I was blessed to have a few weeks old Doberman in my life! She was my baby, a beautiful looking Doberman , I was only 16 when I got her I didn’t know anything about dog training but she made it so easy because Doberman’s are so intelligent! A few weeks of having her she was house trained and knew loads of tricks and I even train her for protection, all this and she was basically still a puppy! She was just like king Francis she stuck by my side 24/7 and would comfort me when I was sad, I felt safe with her so I started going outside again and took her to loads of nice places like beaches and forests, she was my best friend and protector, my angel!! Me and Taz my Doberman had and amazing time together a special bond that can never be broken and this man is right because she is the most loyal living thing Iv ever met!! Sadly she went to the other realm/heaven last month due to cancer, she lived to an incredible 15!! I’m beyond sad right now but seeing this video made me so happy that my taz is not the only Doberman like this and there’s others out there like Francis helping people and I hope to have another chapter with another Doberman angel one day 🐶 .. thanks for reading this long comment, I just wanted to share my story of my Doberman ❤️

But many other breeds that do protection now like shepards were not originally meant to be 'personal' protection dogs. They were originally bred for other tasks. The doberman is the only dog bred specifically for personal protection so they exhibit very strong bonds to their person. I can't even explain how much you mentally sync with a doberman especially if you have had them since puppy hood and trained and worked them.

Doberman’s are among the smartest dogs and when you couple that with their instinctive need to protect and it’s loyalty is a combo that is not matched by other breeds! Keep in mind this is something that isn’t trained. You train your Doberman strictly refining what is already there! LOVE THAT DOG!

    Hi
I saw your video with King FRANCES when you start crying it really made me cry because I was in a depression too and I went and got a Doberman myself to get out of the loneliness. I know how you feel,

I dread the day I lose my girl. I've had my Dobe less than a year and I know its going to be tough when she goes.
I will enjoy every day with her as if its our last.
Dia, 9months old. What a ride its been so far cant wait to take her to all the places she deserves to see.

I found it in a white boxer stray whom I named Baby Hughie for the way I saw her gallumphing across a neighboring yard.
She was so frightened and skittish when I tried to approach her she ran away from me at least 6 times when I was still enough for her to approach but then reached out my hand she would bolt. A voice in my head said "display juvenile canine behavior" so, quickly figuring that meant one that had been figuratively "spanked" by mamadog for being too rowdy (I was NOT very knowledgeable), I then lay upon my back and made whimpering noises, even a sharp yelp or cry here and there.
She came over to me I made the stupid mistake of reaching my hand out to touch her and she bolted...
One more go round I kept my hands to myself, she sniffed around my face licked my face she put her front paw over to the other side of my chest and she proceeded to change her footing and look in all directions to protect me from whatever it was that had made me lay on the ground and whimper and yelp.
Doc determined her to be about 6 mos. She was mine for 10 years until some random spider bit her on the neck.
We've got it real good in this world when a boxer chooses you to take care of and charge over... She understood me she listened to me I never had to train her. If I wanted her to something, I would say the word, as she worked it out in her head she'd eventually sit or lay. I would say that word and pet her. she learned it the 1st time. I did not repeat myself. If I was in this room or at that task, she seemed to know intuitively what I would want her to do in that room or that time of day and she would do that.
She watched and intuited the next move that I would make or that she would do. I never taught her to guard me, or those I allowed in my home, she simply did it against all comers. She would get between me, my son or my guest and any suspicious loud shouting running agitator.
There was someone mock- scolding one of my guests 1 day and he was bein' "all hood/gangsta" When we all noticed what my dog did taking a stance 'n barking warning at him - something I had never seen her do before, then he started talkin' all macho about what he was going to do the dog if ... and with the knife he had in his pocket when... and so on and so forth and my dog stepped up her game she advanced barked one more warning and she was 'bout to go, my guest, to whom he was talking, went over to my dog, I was just coming around the edge of the building to see what my dog was barking that because she never barked, I told her to pet 'er on the head tell 'er it's OK.
She did and all was well. we had to explain to the idiot that the more he did what he did, it was bringing out the defensive side of my dog and that it was something we had never seen before and that she thought it was something to chew his ass up over.
Baby chose me to "save" and to care for, and trust was earned when I no longer reached for her anymore that day, and trust was given; She was my soul, my confidante, the best friend - bar none - I have ever found in this life, this world!
