if you people have trouble locating those barrels turn down the vegetation/foliage in the settings this will help spoting them massivly

My aiming toggle is already off. But I still auto zoom.

The scope zoom toggle is under settings > gameplay, under the general section fourth from the top.

Having it unchecked worked for me. Possibly turn it on and restart the game, then turn it off. If you are still having issues go ask on the Discord. The game dev is very active on there.
