I played the game primarily on Hard. Got to level 99 before fighting the final boss. Instantly took half the bosses HP with one full revenge art. Raised the difficulty to Inferno and restarted the fight. Best decision I've ever made. Different from the more dangerous and high stakes boss fights in previous Ys games. This boss was just pure hype and adrenaline injected in my veins.
SPOILERS This is probably one of my favourite final bosses in all of gaming. Not just because of the epic music, but the unique strike Adol and Karja have when you time your dodged and blocks just right. Even the moments where Rollo says "Not bad!" Was such a great touch on the fight itself. Like he knew what was coming and was enjoying every moment of it because he finally got a true fight.
They blew it out of the park with this boss and music, easily one of the best final bosses i've ever experienced so far in the Ys series. The fight, music and the adrenaline hype I got during it was peak asf
This ost when start playing,I was got a touch.when I heard this again and again,I still remembered that adol and karja fighting the final boss, and I can feel excited same with the final boss.Great full to the singer to make this epic ost
SPOILERS Not gonna lie, I outright started screaming when they summoned the ice ship as an attack and before that when Rollo more or less went "Odin, no, *Loki* be praised for this day!" That shit was the coolest thing.
Just finished the game. HOLY PEAK. This boss battle completely shattered my already high expectations, and this song was the cherry on top. I don't really have anything to say that hasn't been said before, just... WOW. Both this and Kai having phenomenal final bosses makes me look forward to what Falcom has in store for us in the future.
It gives me Pokémon Mystery Dungeon vibes in the beginning, and then just completely blows me out the water with how it sounds. 2:44 especially just made me gasp, the switch is just godly.
overall satisfied with this ost, i can only hope unisuga comes back for the next game. having him onboard and also having singa focused on less songs would be pretty gooood. very proud of koguchi, the guy really knows how to capture the essence of falcom music
@@biosonic6514Tokyo Xanadu 2. they've been teasing it for some time and released a proper initial teaser trailer last year. though we still don't even know if it's going to be called Tokyo Xanadu 2. apparently the game has to do with Kyoto so maybe the title is different. it's slated for 2025 anyhow.
Insane track, Osaki style in the views for this one and doesnt sound busy in the slightest. The organ part, the breakdown to let the track breath, the violin part at the end in the middle of the fast paced final boss is just perfection. Koguchi is a gem. Edited after beating the game: Koguchi cooked so hard, i love when a inhouse composer knows what they are doing and enhance the final boss even more, been a while since i got chills fighting a Falcom final boss since Azure.
Love this one, really like the melodies and style of the track, Koguchi really encapsulates the legacy of Falcom's previous composers while having a fresh sound.
Great Osaki inspired piece, my favourite track in the game. Guitar sounds like it's being played through a radio, kind of like Osaki, but if Osaki could fix his guitar then Koguchi can too! I already said pretty much all I wanted to say on the BGM rip of this song, so that's all, great work Koguchi! 😄
This boss was a fucking banger. Everything about it was perfect
Absolute Cinema!

Rare good title moment
I absolutely want to hear more Koguchi final boss themes in the future because this one is fantastic!

I don't know if I got lucky or if it was designed that way, but 2:14 synced up perfectly with the 'cutscene' parts of the fight and it worked so well.
Endless Bloody Sea sounds like something a fed up british sailor would say
god this song fights the fight SO well, i fucking love ys man

@@E10WasHere NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
all things fair though, he is already a legend, if he just wants to chill now and be a webdev he deserves it
@@lin_lin_lin I love the rumours that he's solo composing TX2. That'd be something. Pure cope, tho.
@@yon1337 may i know what do you mean by TX2? you made me curious

KOGUCHI WITH IMMENSE SOUL
This has got to be my favorite track from him ever.
Side note: it also reminds me of Wanwan's works for some reason
I might have to think about it more but it's probably my 2nd fav of his behind Beyond the Dawn
man I can't wait to hear his in context before long
alongside my other favourite songs in this game
It's peak with the context. Thank you falcom cutscene director
well I just saw the funny in-game earlier..
at least it only loops like once
but god, facepalm
@@seymourflux747 programmer-kun moment
Lila should have just stayed like that full time tbh?
cool song but please let's leave the 2008 osaki style instrumentation back in 2008 where it belongs.
