- Replacing the rear door latch in a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country is fairly easy. This is a project you can probably do yourself to save some money instead of taking your minivan to the dealer.

Interesting. I wonder how much they changed the latch mechanism over the years. My brother broke the latch on my 2000. Although I can probably find a replacement at a junkyard.
Thank you bro
Best videos ever 🎉
Thanks so much for this
🔴 AWESOME THANK YOU 🙋♂️👍👍
I can't figure out how to get that long cable out 3:56. You make it look so ez 😳. Gonna try again in the morning before I break a clip out of frustration.
There are those two little pieces sticking out the sides. I pinched them in with those needle nose pliers. That allows the plastic piece to wiggle out the other direction. Make sure you're pushing those pieces in and leave a little room for them to push down through the metal. You can do it.
Don't break that plastic piece. It will cause you even more frustration.
I finally got it installed but it might be a faulty unit. It's not making the wrarrhh wrarrrhh sound for me. It just closes but doesn't actually latch.
I replaced the fuse, the actuator and the power module (by the spare tire jack) and I still can't get my hatch to latch. PLEASE, ANY IDEAS?
How long did the whole job take?
Maybe about an hour. It is relatively easy to replace.
Just finished the instal, now door will close and latch but will not open. I can manually open it from the inside with a screw driver and have reinstalled a few times. Any advice would be welcomed, I may have a defective part as it will not release.
It is an electronic lock. Make sure the electrical connector is completely connected. It should make a noise when you pull the exterior handle... Like the motor is moving kind of noise. If it isn't, did your old one make noise? If so, the new one may be bad. If neither makes noise, you may need to check whichever fuse runs the rear hatch.
@@travisgrindalI'm not getting any sound. I bought a new one still no sound. Checked the fuses, all good. Any idea what else it could be?
Someone disc golf's!
Yup.
Very helpful video but it still didn't work!
Ugh... how frustrating.
