I had one on my old bike and it's a great mirror. I did only ever get to see my shoulder all the time though, so I turned it upside down so the mirror was underneath the handlebar and it improved the visibility massively.

Great suggestion, So many different handlebar shapes and lengths available. It's cool you found a way to see behind! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️ Keep pedaling!

Excellent review, thank you. Works perfect with my 2020 Trek FX3 Disc. I had to move the front derailer lever a little to the right. Nice big mirror, great view, minimal vibration on the road. Highly recommend.

Rear view mirror is an essential upgrade. As is a decent bell so that you can warn people (other riders, pedestrians, kids, dogs, etc) that you are coming so that you don't scare the shit out of them you ride up to and past them, so you don't cause them to do something horrible like move into your path and get run over - it will be YOUR fault if you hit someone ! I've seen it happen, and it's horrible and so easily avoidable - providing you give people space and warn them you are coming.

This a great comment! I'm going to be buying a bell today. My wife's ebike has one, but mine doesn't. Thanks! 🔔🔔🚴🚴

If you're not a small person, I'd say it has to be an end cap mirror. You just don't get the reach you need when added on a handlebar past the hand grip

Great point, I think the geometry of the bike might contribute as well. We tried the bar end style in the past and didn't like it as much. Keep riding 💪🚴🚴

No need to take the wrench with you if you have a multi-tool with you, which is a must, a crash can cause stuff to get loose, as well as fast temperature changes. My rules are Loctite 243 on all threads, have multi-tool with me at all times. Loctite 243 on the threads helps to keep it secure during rapid temp changes.

Loctite and a good multi-tool is a must. I encourage folks to take the wrench, because it comes with the mirror.

With crazy drivers a mirror is really seductive. Just another thing people will ask and hate on my bike.
Would be interesting to see how well the mirror works, do you have camera glasses? if so that would give an realistic perspective.

For me, a mirror is good when around cars.

How many mirrors have you used? What others would you recommend?

I've tried a couple others. One had a flexible neck. It was really bad, another went into the bar end. That one made the bike more difficult to put on our bike rack because it made the bike wider. I've bought a couple of these Hafny and recommend them. 🚴🚴🚴

I'm not sure, not much room on the handlebars for a mirror on those.🚴🚴🚴

No such thing as an 'ebike' mirror. This thing is, wait for it, a 'bike' mirror.

As good as this mirror is, the ball arm is too weak. took a fall and ball snapped off. had to do a DIY at home to repair

@@diymountainbike zip ties and high strength tape solved the problem.. also drilled a hole through the ball and mirror and installed a small gauge bolt

@@diymountainbike Hafny makes larger ones now. I’m checking it out later this week.
As an aside, to test “size matters” (it does), I taped larger mirrors on my old hafnys. A world of difference. But clunky.
