I’m about to attend year 10 in England this September and is extremely stressed about it especially from the perspective of an international student who has only been educated in the IB system. I really hope I’ll be able to achieve the best grades I can possibly get by listening to your amazing advices!
bestie i feel you i have been an international student my whole life and am currently in Australia I'm moving home to start year 10 and stressed asf, the best we can do is to write down any topics we are confused about in the curriculum and look at them now < 3 hope this helps

I’ve just finished year 11... when I say my revision consisted of me writing out important stuff from the text books and then just reading the parts I didn’t know the weekend/ Night before the exam, that is exactly what I did.... and I rlly wish I had have started properly revising in year 9 and 10 (my school started out GCSE content in yr9) ... although I think my exams have gone well anyway.
*Taking it as a Learning Curve for A Levels*. 🤣

@@kp___pk well just finished my GCSEs now but I wouldn’t stress a whole lot about year 10 unless you want to sit a gcse that year but just make the most of it but actually pay attention as well and try and make sure you do understand the things you get taught if not try and revise it at home

it is all based on what you need, the fact that you are asking this shows you care and want to be better. this mentality is a winner. again, if your method is working continue but if not change!

I’m going into year 10 year 7 and 8 ngl is pretty much useless in a lot of the the subjects. It won’t mean much year 9 end of year is a lot more important
It depends when ur school starts your gcse course mine started in year 9 whereas most school start year 10
I had mocks in year 9 as I said my school starts gcse course in year 9 so it was quite important year 8 end of exams are pretty useless
For the gcse side of things I only recommend doing work for it in year 10 but only making flash cards
I would suggest for you in year 9 to chill and only worry about end of year exams because it’s pretty much your last year to take easy

Please my son is in year 10 and he's always stayed at 5 grade sometimes 4+ and I'm scared for GCSE ..I have read about how the the grade is equivalent to C Which in not happy about..I'm willing to change this...please what tips can you give me...can he still improve the grade??
im not experienced or anything im also in year 10 but i would suggest trying as hard as he possibly can before christmas as after christmas if your put into a foundation paper you can only get up to a 5 or 6 but if you do higher you can get 9's. Also i would tell your son to suggest talking to his teachers about what he can do and their advice as it will help you and your son.
