BEST Things to Do in Verona - Travel Guide to the Most Romantic City in Italy

For our last stop in Italy, we are visiting the city of romance: Verona! Often overlooked by its famous neighbors Milan & Venice or reduced to the symbol of love thanks to Shakespeare’s tale of Romeo & Juliet, Verona has so much more to offer and is worth spending at least one day.
We are hitting the streets of Verona, exploring the historic inner city (Centro Storico), visiting the Verona Arena, climbing up Torre dei Lamberti for amazing views, having some mouthwatering food & ending our day on a beautiful hilltop with a castle. Walking through Verona feels like you ended up in a postcard or movie set. It’s like one big open-air museum and exploring the streets on foot is easily one of the best things to do here.
In our opinion, Verona has somewhat the same flair as Florence, only a bit smaller and more relaxed. Although it doesn’t have an equally impressive cathedral, it offers an impressive Roman arena and its fair share of charming squares.
