I can't get enough of this sort of thing - recovering WWII fighting vehicles in such great shape. Even the second vehicle is fascinating, as it records what must have been a direct hit - a major piece of history in itself. In fact, I'd be tempted to preserve it exactly as it is. Awesome!

An for several days, would look at the tank routes. They were fortunate enough to find a GERMAN ARMY in retreat from the RUSSIANS. It was just during a winter snow fall that turned worse!! They found 17 tanks that had stopped in the ice of a river. MK111 AND MK1Vs!! They recovered most of them. They were sealed up by the crews ,as they had expected to recover them.NEVER DID! Great recovery. But additionally removing those 1/2 tracks stopped them from polluting the river water later on when corrosion caused oil leaks from the engine, transmission and gear box. Good job and great use if your equipment plus the amphibs prop wash to move sediment.
First vehicle pulled up looks like the right side had the track shortened to make up for the loss of a wheel. Also looks like it was painted to match some SS pattern like Dot or Blurred Edge.
Looks like the Kfz 7 might have been towing the Kfz 250 back for repairs when they both got dumped in the river. Note the starboard side track of the 250, which is missing the idler wheel and the track has been shortened and routed over the remaining wheels. This was common practice in German armor recovery.

That MAN tractor reminds me of the ones we had in our GLCM unit during the Cold War.
