I look everyday to see if another installer diary has made it to youtube. I'm getting too old to do a lot of installs anymore, so I live vicariously thru your videos. lol

Can you sum front and back input the boost the signal or just turn up the amp gain does summing front and rear create distortion.
If you leave the gain at 0 then there is no gain. On the other hand you can turn the input gain all the up and then just reduce the output gain.
That way if you want it louder you can add gain but in some cases you can reverse the gain.
You can't reverse the gain on a sub amp so why would you reverse the gain on any amp?
So i have a DSP 608 in my 07 Toyota 4runer. I have pair of 8' Celestions in front doors, pair in rear doors , a pair mounted on liftgate and 1 12' Cerein verga sub.For the tweeters, i have a pair in the front doors, pair on B pillar and a pair in the Upper D pillar. Whats the best way to setup the different fequency lvl for the different doors/ panel??

So question, I love the fact you guys take pride in your work. I'm taking my car into a car audio installer to get my system setup and using a audio control amp with the dsp, is there something I can do after the install to insure the set everything up? Thank you.
Plug it in to your computer and see what they have done or the bottom line is if it sounds good

This is why I learn to do things myself. unless I see a true consumate professional, I just don't trust them.

They try but you really can't get the full effect on UA-cam
@@ibrheemmikbel8131 Actually I mean they should play some NCS for longer duration so that we can hear the output.
Due to copyright strike, they don't play for more than couple of seconds.
@@ajaysharma202 Listening on UA-cam with compression through your speakers or headphones is not what it sounds like in real life. I do understand you and me wanting to get a listen of the system though. I watch all their shows on my phone usually and some times in my 08' Subaru Forester with stock radio and speakers. So obviously nothing special.
Audiocontrol DSP is a joke until they add a parametric EQ. How am i supposed to use REW!?!? come on Audiocontrol get it together!
Do you mostly use a 24 DB slope for the front and rear speakers?
You want a *acoustical* crossover of 24 dB. When you have a tweeter tuned to 24 dB slope, and the mid tuned to 24dB slope, the result is a in phase response with a flat output. Notice I said acoustical, not electrical
@@devnull182 gotcha. Finding the right db slope for my 2009 accord has been tough. I have a ilx w650 with morel 6.5 components and 6.5 coaxial in the rear and my sub is a Jl 10w6 pro wedge box. My amp is the RF 500x4 and mono amp is a jl rd500
I have a JL Audio fix86 for sale only in my car for 2 weeks then traded in vehicle
No final amp rack and those were not the Q class subs …

How many days does an install like this take? I know they are professionals but filming great quality videos and taking the time to explain everything really well. Would take me a month to do what they do what seems like in one day....
I just did a very thorough sound treatment and install and it took me ~100 hours total…but I wasn’t in a hurry and I was learning some as I went
What was the total cost of this build? (Equipment and Install)
Alot, the amp alone is 1100$
Do you guys like the audio control stuff or the kicker q class better for DSP amps?
In my opinion he likes both but the kicker is good in certain applications and same with the Audiocontrol

Check the power output of each amp and see what works better for your speakers
You do realize you just gave your right side speakers more delay than your left side speakers. This does not allow for sound to hit the driver all at the same time, you’re only increasing the amount of time for the furthest speaker to reach the driver of the car… which only throws it off more…
Plus you’re also using inches when you should switch to milliseconds for a more accurate measurement.
Take your furthest speaker and make that 0 as that’s not going to have delay, as everything is based off that furthest speakers distance.
Say your tweeter on the left is 25”, tweeter on the right is 45” away and your furthest speaker is 50” away.
Left Tweeter:
50 - 25 = 25”
25 divided by 13.55 = 0.99ms of delay
Right Tweeter:
50 - 45 = 5”
5 divided by 13.55 = 0.37ms of delay
Furthest speaker:
0ms of delay.

What you’re doing is incorrect and teaching so many people how to incorrectly time align their system.
I digress though as there’s lots of misinformation out there in car audio.
