  • Finally got this build up and ready.
    #steelisreal
    Specs as follows:
    - Frame and Fork: Mongoose Maurice 2012 (Chromoly Steel)
    - Headset: OEM aluminium alloy 1 1/8” (34 mm) - used to replace the old Tange Seiki Terious one
    - Wheelset: Purefix aluminium alloy rims and flip-flop hubs, steel spokes, with 18t OEM steel cog and freewheel
    - Stem: Uno 17 degree aluminium alloy stem, 90 mm
    - Handlebars: OEM track drop bars (later BLB Alloy Bullhorn Bars)
    - Handlebar wraps: OEM
    - Brake levers: Cansucc (for bullhorn bars: a.aliexpress.com/_oE51tuZ)
    - Seatpost: Uno 25.4mm aluminium alloy, with 3D Printed shims (OEM clamp)
    - Saddle: OEM track saddle
    - Crank: Litepro square taper BB, 50t alloy chainring
    - Bottom Bracket: Tange Seiki 107
    - Pedals: Wellgo M248
    - Chain: Daido Kogyo DID Cycle Roller Chain (shp.ee/kmmgxri)

    Great build!!! I’ve built a few SS and love it. So many style and setup options. Gorgeous bike.

    Are thos interrupter levers or tt levers?

      These are bar end levers, or what some people like to call TT levers.

      @@gattocat3729 Here's how I would break down the experience:
      1) Braking: just about the same as any drop bar/ interrupter/ flat bar brakes I had tried on this bike. I think the cable housing and brake calipers themselves make up most of the braking.
      2) General feel: mostly contributed by the bars themselves. Bullhorns/ pursuit bars just feel faster. Practically speaking, I didn't see a difference in braking/ riding speeds or stopping distances.

      @@watchesnwheels thanks alot mate. Read somewhere that bullhorns are technically more aero than drops although I'm not really sure how true that is
