I feel kinda special about this one, and maybe you could do a video about it's series and specials, but my pick is For Better or for Worse! It's Lovingly told about a family going through it's ups and downs!😂 As the series progresses, you grow with the family as their kids get older and have fAmilies of their own! It's such a wonderful series of unfortunate events!❤️
I'm surprised how many people have recommended it; I'll definitely have to check it out! I always liked the comic, so if it builds on that, it should be pretty good!
All Are great picks( where's Dennis the Menace?!😂) but does anyone remember the brief series from the hilarious strips, Mother Goose and Grim?!❤️ Those had me dying!!!
@@ItsTheGooseItsTheGoose they could because Mark Evanier is still working. And he did both Garfield and Friends, as well as the CGI The Garfield Show. But it's just not the same without Lorenzo Music imo. Younger people don't get it. But to people my age and older, Lorenzo Music is Garfield.
I will admit I liked the adaptations from the early days. A majority of Peanuts I enjoy. Garfield and Friends will always stay in my heart. There was a good TV movie of For Better or Worse I saw but it's been awhile. Does Archies' Weird Mysteries count because that show was a good time? I did like Heathcliff when I was able to see it. Boondocks is cool and a great critique of black culture. Tintin is great and I count Smurfs because they were a comic series first. I wish to see is Dennis the Menace UK version. I saw the American version as a kid but I only remember the theme song. Other than that my knowledge is limited but I know there are good adaptations.
The number of quality adaptations is surprisingly abundant. It seems like if you had a show or special made of your comic strip before the 90s, it was bound to be great!
@@ItsTheGooseItsTheGoose It also depended on the company that made the specials as well. Most people make fun of DIC but when they had the budget and time a lot of their shows were good quality or at least had great music and voice talent.

There's also Lucky Luke. That one got extremely lucky, since it got a live action movie AND a cartoon
Definitely Garfield and Friends is my favorite.
The specials AND show were all superb! I wish they would go back to that sort of writing for the new releases.
