Cartoon Network - The Best Place for Cartoons (Promo Collection)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 вер 2021
- Before the popular 2004-06 "City" era, there was a series of promos featuring cartoon stars being placed in the real world and they end up having any kind of situations. All of these were made by Primal Screen.

I feel like whoever came up with these promos was a huge fan of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
They are hella based 😌
And Todd Wahnish made those Cartoon network bumpers like Cartoon Cartoon Fridays and Powerhouse bumpers and all that on the Primal screen.
@@michaelmullican6487 that’s awesome! I wish I could thank that guy personally!
@@carlbloke8797 I'm sure you'll would and another thing, he made PBS Kids and Nickelodeon and a few others.
Definitely great person that Actually cared about the advertising of the channel and he definitely loved watching Cartoons 👀 you can tell 😀 😄 😉 😊!!LOL
Cartoon Network will never be the same again I just want them to make CN Classics a reality where they not only bring the old cartoons back but all these amazing promos as well.
Yeah, like a full on, 7/11/22 minute CN City series just with the old cartoons! That would be awesome!
The CN classics should be back
YEAH Because Of The Adult Swim
@@kennybegeske8824 fuck adult swim LOL 😂😂😂
I feel the same way about Disney Channel and Nickelodeon as I grew up with all three channels; although I didn't start watching Disney Channel until the early 2000s because I watched Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon most of the time back then. I do, however, remember watching Disney's One Saturday Morning back in the '90s.
Droopy and Shaggy reenacting the Pulp Fiction scene was greatness.
Kids today just don't know how lit things were in the early 2000s
Trust me, I'm 15 and I often envy the 2000's kids
Most my age don't but I do, I dig Y2K
Happy I was born 1993, being 4 in 1997 and turning 10 in 2003, I was a prime Y2k kid.
I was born in 1994 and I agree.
@@BinglesP idk what you’re talking about a lot of tween/teen girls on social media love the Y2K “aesthetic”. The cartoons are also popular amongst us they still air old cartoons on cable or other channels like “Boomerang” and they have them on streaming services.
If you ask any tween/teen that watched tv about 2000s cartoons they’d say they watched about 70-100% of em.
I was born in 2012, and I can highly agree that the early 2000's was the best couple of years.
21:40 “it’s always 3.”
The level of commitment that the actors put into these skits is remarkable!
back when the studio was a family and they produced things as a labor of love. Now its a machine powerhouse peddling crap.
Absolutely fantastic This stuff was so amazing back then. These human actors really sold it! What happened cartoon Network What happened 😅
Cool to see how these promos from the Powerhouse era would lead to the CN City era. The two most famous and Golden Age Eras of Cartoon Network.
That's because they were made during the Jim Samples Era.
The best crossovers in cartoon history were made by Cartoon Network in the bumpers and promos.
Cartoon Network is the king of crossovers.
@@DMMBlogs94 but not anymore in this era.
Facts Cartoon Network crossovers are goated
@@user-fx8rk2jm3w because it wouldnt be the same nowadays.
What a treasure trove. There are even shorts here that seem to express how fans of the older CN days feel about the newer CN days.
I love how ballsy some of these are. Like Cartoon Network basically admitting to ignoring the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons in favor of the Cartoon Cartoons, or that Kwicky Koala one where they're basically like "Yeah, we know some of our shows suck" 😆
Talk about irony ! Then again...Cartoon Network really needs to make a programming block featuring all Hanna-Barbera productions !
They had boomerang back in the day
So nostalgic. I miss the old cartoon network.
I wish this would all come back
@@shadowkick2852 me too

Old Cartoon Network is Gone Now, Grow The F*ck Up.
Yeah the old cartoon network had bumper logos to show how much we cared about cartoons
13:22 oh my god that's Uncle from Jackie Chan Adventures. This is such a legendary era that I'm so glad I grew up with as a kid.

Holy shit I didn't notice until I saw your comment lol
Thanks bro
I didn't know that was his voice
Okay but the one with Velma and Dexter was so cute
This was Cartoon Network at its peak!
I’m a 2010’s kid but even I agree Cartoon Network peaked in its first two decades. Just goes to show how timeless the Cartoon Cartoons were.

What an amazing promo series. Gives such a sense of childlike wonder.
RIP Casey Kasem!!! I believe that bumper with Droopy came out originally in '97.
Voice of Shaggy & Robin.

i was too young to appreciate how good these skits were im glad i found this
Ah, the good old days of Cartoon Network. What happened to the good old days?
thats what im wondering. CN used to be at the top now it feels like a joke
Society and humanity changed. Nuff said.
@@javianwilliams7463 even when they get a new show that could approve like Infinity train, Ok ko lets be heroes, mao mao hero of pure heart. They just get canceled.

However, I do remember watching Disney's One Saturday Morning back in the 90s.
Time really goes by fast
6:47 Damn Vilma, I didn't know she looked that good lol
9:42 And she friendzoned Dexter so much until Johnny Bravo came along
Meh, Daphne is soooo much hotter than her.
These days, I'll bet that Cartoon Network parking lot has very few spaces there; considering the limited amount of cartoons they have
Right? Regardless of the quality of the newer shows, ya gotta admit it's underwhelming how small the lineup on CN is compared to all the shows (old & new), promos, marathons & blocks they used to air in the 90s & 2000s.
Why even own the entire Hanna-Barbara or MGM library if you're never gonna air them or expose them to newer generations for history's sake? Same goes for the older CN originals like Courage, Ed, Edd n Eddy, or the GOOD PPG.
The network may survive on Teen Titans Go alone, but it cannot thrive on TTG alone.
@@tjh6678 The world around us changes all the time and therefore the cartoons we love gets whole new meaning. What was fun back in good old days might be now offensive for new generation. If you want to watch old cartoons, buy HBO Max subscription with Cartoon Network included in. Otherwise, have it your way
@@tjh6678 Agreed, I feel like I'm one of the few people my age who cares about Cartoon Cartoons

20:05 I never got it as a kid. 😂
Jesus Christ! LMAO
Oh lord the memories…god im old. In my opinion that era is a better era than now.😢
0:43 funny, because years later Robin will get his own TV show where he is the main hero
Why did i cry watching this? It supposed to make me smile!!! 😭😭😂
Nostalgia; that's why.
@@treseancann1261Nostalgia, and because of how much Cartoon Network has fallen past Check It 3.0.
A few of these survived briefly after the channel's City era started (at least in the Latin American feeds).
Wow this brings back memories. Good old times.
It was always the best feeling to see all the classic cartoon characters interact with eachother and walk around living life in a real 3D world❤🥰
Someone from the higher ups at CN Headquarters, please bring these shorts back. These were my childhood specials XD
The Golden era
The Shaggy Droopy one was the first bump I can remember from my childhood. And it only came on at night.
The one where they get chased down the Subway will always be my favorite
We’ll never see this on modern Cartoon Network. Like what’s been said in countless other videos, this was the Golden Age of the channel before it became too focused on longform storytelling and shows that lived or died depending on its toy sales.
Seriously long form storytelling isn't good for most kids, I could stand it because even as a kid I had a great memory but most don't care they just want to see the characters
@@hcook1023 I'm in my teens and even I don't mind episodic cartoons
I like their "metric system" reference from pulp fiction😄👍
Where
it seems that the toons of CN is having an hard time to adjust in the real world or the human world
12:14 I can't tell if they're the same bumper or not, but the way it's edited makes it seem like because all of the other toons called off for work, they had to air a Quickie Koala marathon because he was the only one who showed up. There's even the irony of the kid apparently staying home from school sick (and that he may have faked it just like the toons).
I thought it was probably the cartoon' Union strike.
@@Doommaster1994
If these went further on into the 2010’s, they’d have done that.
13:02 Basically today’s CN in a nutshell with TTG.
(Well, this aged like fine milk, didn’t it?)
If Kwicky Koala took over Cartoon Network for a day, I'll be a bit more happy.
Lol
@@kootunesscrewy Me too. I never seen that show before, so it'd be fun to try a new cartoon!
@@ZeepAtomic Old cartoon, lol.
Unless they make a reboot, but keep the source material the same and make the animation feel like the original (just like Looney Tunes Cartoons).
@@kootunesscrewy That's what I'm saying!
I miss these cartoons such good memories
The jingle in the beginning surprised me! I thought that was something they came up with back when Ben 10: Omniverse was on air. There's still so much about Cartoon Network that I don't know, despite growing up watching it.
Long live the old Cartoon Network! Disney Channel and Nickelodeon as well.
These were the days.
I’m with some of the commenters, I wish there was a series called “CN City” where it’s just misadventures of cartoon characters interacting between themselves and the real world. These bumpers could make a great series.
24:30 Only people as despised as Scrappy can make Dexter cry THAT easily!
Glad i was able to see these when i did
As a kid, I thought Space Ghost was one of Batman's costumes. I first saw him on his show from Adult Swim
I remember Shaggy promo, cafeteria ad, flintstone parking ad and welma johnny too, also the theater ad
Sad that cartoonnetwork does not have promos like these anymore
You know, while I love the CN City bumpers as much as the next guy, there's something very special about this specific set of bumpers.
Thank you for your work, Primal Screen. You will be missed.
Lol, back when you could get more than one popcorn at the movies with a $20
19:47 I've never seen that "Alpha Male" promo and I'm pretty sure I would've remembered if I had
Honestly, this is one of the reasons why, in spite of their questionable business decisions, Disney TV Animation is my favorite TV animation studios right now. Not only have they been making some of my favorite recent cartoons, but with things like Chibiverse and Broken Karaoke, they too have been making promos involving the characters from those shows interacting in experimental ways to.
Oh, undoubtedly.
Nick is at rock bottom right now with it's toons, quality AND quantity wise. The most creatively bankrupt they've ever been. But we all know the reasons for that at this point.
CN is in a dry spell with only a few shows currently airing.
Disney TVA is doing the best of the 3 currently with their show output.
I’m gonna cry I feel so old 🤣💕
At 12:14, I think this building of the CN headquarters must be the Turner building, which is located in 1050 Techwood Drive, Atlanta, GA, U.S.
2:55 but the other promos and that Cartoon network building and the offices inside that is fictitious, right? 8:28 23:34
5:05 and where was it recorded
17:09 Lobby
3:55 - Carpooling with Fred Flintstone, Chicken & Thundarr the Barbarian
^_^ thx primal screen. awesome memories awesome toons =D
also thank the human actors so much they really acted well with the toons, so natural, lol that one dude with the hero toons and that lady secretary and the mechanic dudes...ahh god bless all their efforts xD
These bumpers were class
The good days of Cartoon Network.
I honestly wish they made a mockumentary show on the CN characters
Boy does this bring back memories! Really miss the old Cartoon Network
I had an ad at 25:22 cut perfectly when the guy was just a skeleton 💀
Cartoon Network the Former Best Place for Cartoons
first time seeing these. half hour well spent. amazing work.
This was the golden era of cartoons and they actually tried to make truly unique commercials. So much care was taken to make a good network with a variety of cartoons. Nowadays the channel would just play back to back teen titans go.
4:09 Reserved for Papa Smurf!!!
Why's Papa Smurf, corrupted by his own power?
Can No leader go Undated?!?
4:22 Hey, fellas. Looking for a parking space? You can take mine.
I can imagine Jake, Rigby, Darwin and Charlie(We bare Bears) in the sidekicks diner
I MUST GIVE YOU SOME RESPECT. YOU DID A MAGNIFICENT AND A BEAUTIFUL JOB CONGRATULATIONS ARE NOW IN ORDER.
8:11 Edd is so adorable in this one. Poor guy, I relate to his anxiety a lot.
Me and my brother at 29 and 30 still say that line "tip?, here's a tip ..Get a real Job" 😭😂😂
My Childhood
I never knew they threw so much shade at each other-
Bro, why don’t we have this anymore?!
Back when Cartoon Network was better before it became different in 2003.
0:03 - 0:04
So that "new" sound I've heard in CN ads is actually far older than imagined.
Even with your massive screw-ups CN, I gotta give you props for that.
The 90s and early 2000s were the best era for Cartoon Network.
I love the wile coyote and roadrunner one, I love the fact you can see coyote's eyes shrink when roadrunner goes beep beep like if coyote says it's him roadrunner is going to murder his family.
1:16 it took me years to realise this is a Pulp Fiction parody.
Happy 31st Anniversary Cartoon Network
I miss the old days.
I like that custom one at the beginning using the old logo with the modern colors and jingle
Cartoons with promo bumpers shows how much animators care about doing good cartoons for children like saturday morning
Fortunately, Robin got his own comic series, Barney became a mafia Boss and Boo Boo became a revolutionary.
Back when we had bumpers for cartoons it showed how much we cared about doing good cartoons
4:59 “That does it! I’m gonna start taking the bus to work.”
The segment where the toons are running away from the people is a reference to The Beatles "A Hard Day's Night!"
5:33 Did I heard SpongeBob's scream or it's just the Mayor?
Tom Kenny voiced him as well.
Cartoon Network was my childhood channel.

5:04 - Cartoon Cartoons On The Run.
Whoever made that scene was a Beatles fan. This scene was based off of "Hard Day's Night".
@@roseflower9993 It's like The Beatles and Michael Jackson being chased by crazed fans.
After rewatching this the parking situation was zanier than I thought.
When they're talking to Space Ghost we see Speed Buggy watching and blinking who was clearly in the building in the previous promo.
Dick Dastardly's car is parked next to that empty spot and you can see him driving in his car in the brief transition to nighttime after Speed Racer crashes into Judi.
