    I dont think Miami's offense will be as up tempo as last season. I think Miami runs the ball more next season with Fletcher and Lyle than this season. Ward is the only Ward out there, and Beck isn't Ward.

      @ I think so too, but we’re in need of a 3rd back. Ajay Allen would’ve been perfect, there may be another option internally (Humphrey, Pringle, and maybe a little bit of Lofton as well). Still, I think it would make sense to get a proven RB - we’re going to miss Damien Martinez.
      On D, we’ve dramatically improved the secondary via portal, but we desperately need to show development in the LB and DL rooms. A plus starting MLB and a proven edge rusher would go a long way. Scott, Lightfoot, McConathy, Popo, and other LBS desperately need to step up. Need to start hitting on these highly rated recruits.

    I think we are missing something big here. Miami wasn't tested last year until Louisville in late October? We get to start out with big tests and then coast into ACC play as we get rolling. Even if we go 2-2 or 1-3, we could still run the table on the ACC and end up in the playoff. As a U fan, I am happy about this difficult and front-loaded schedule. Once again, Its all about the U!

    Beck did get distracted this year but he can read defenses very well and go through his progressions. If he has protection and great receivers, then he will flourish in Miami. Interesting parallel here. Riley Leonard was also injured and didn't get to play during spring ball and most of camp in general. He struggled mightily throughout the early part of the season to put together good passing performances and it could be argued he didnt get back to the spot he was at Duke. Riley and Carson are fundamentally different QBs as Riley is perfectly happy to tuck it and take off, but it would not surprise me if he comes out in the first 3-4 Miami game and doesn't have all the synergy and timing you would expect of a veteran QB because of those missed reps

    • @bjones061
      @bjones061 День тому +1

      Literally no one has said that…in fact the majority of the fanbase rallied around Stockton and was extremely excited to see him start and looking forward to the Stockton era.
      On the contrary, the fanbase was upset with the play calling and the lack for staff to sit players who need to sit. Beck was not a leader, I haven’t liked him all year. He stood on the shoulders of giants of play makers who are putting up unreal stats this year in the league as rookies. Beck did. Or command that offense, he was not the guy who the team looked to when they’re down in the 4th quarter to get it done. He’s a warm body.
      JP hit the nail on the head, both parties see it best to go their separate ways. Best of luck to him but NO ONE has said we needed heck against ND.

    Judging by these comments people are very stupid. Miami will have an elite O-Line next year same as ladt year, weapons at TE and WR and RB and an improved defense. That’s still a question but certainly a more talented secondary. Miami had the best offense in the country. All they needed was a decent defense and they win both of the games they lost. Beck will be surrounded by a better O-Line at Miami than UGA. No reason Miami’s offense can’t be elite again. No reason to think Miami’s defense won’t be greatly improved next year. Championship level of course probably not, but playoff run capable looking more like a real possibility.

      You must’ve not seen them play in the ACC. They struggled to win games. 10-2 was this years record, with a softer schedule and a better QB, WR and RB. Lost their leading tackler the last two years. He was the only one that played defense.
      Worse record is 6-6 or 7-5. Best case is 10-2…. I predicted UM
      to go undefeated 12-0 after spring ball seeing Cam.

Cam Ward was a Heisman candidate, got us 10 wins, should have had 11, won awards, will be a top 3 pick, cool under pressure, low ints.. and can avoid and evade using his legs. and he gets 1.6 million from nil? folks.. the more things get older, they stay the same. Beck will win 8 games and the cnes will be a laughingstock again. this dude is trash... Miami will start looking like the Dallas Cowboys with him in charge.. all drama...
