I'm no woodworker, but find watching your videos fun and intriguing. Your makes are both fun & brilliant. I've finally subscribed. See you soon, no doubt!
I really enjoyed this video. The instructions were clear and it was concise. Could make this with a knife, like a standard pocket one that can whittle wood, or would you recommend sticking to the tools? I don't have many power tools, and I was hoping i could manage it with my pocket knife.
You could certainly do it with a knife, if you mark the angles on the wood and cut to the lines I'm sure it'll work out. I'd be tempted to use a sanding block to clean up the cuts because the three way mitre isn't very forgiving, and even my version isn't perfect you can see some gaps in the joints. Good luck with it 👍
Came here because of Kieth Rag and Bone’s suggestion and he was right! Top draw channel and a new subscriber

Don't make one! This video should have been posted last week but I kept getting distracted.
First video I've seen of yours, earned a sub. Fun, practical, and easy to follow. I'll be making one of these for my desk, thank you!

love your humour Martin. Where did you get the small brass clamp from? I guess that is for kumiko work?
Thank you 👍 they are for kumiko I got them from Amazon. Search for Miniature Bar Clamps.
