The guys at Ozark Mountain Trading Company are the best! I bought my Big Rig HD/FD from Ryan Walker at the Garfield location ... couldn't ask for better service ... You should come north and fish Table Rock in southwest Missouri or Grand Lake in northeast Oklahoma. Anyway, love your channel!
Fished there many a time (only 1-1/2 hours away from me), and had good luck fishing the "Points" . Wish I was down there with you guys, Fishin' and 'Yakin' and havin' a Good 'ol Arkansa Time... Good luck Greg, on your Tournament... Hope ya win it... ("Watchy-Taw" CAN be a tough lake, though!).
@@Josey4u Hey, Buddy...! Gonna be snowin' here in 'bout an hour or so. (Maybe make a trip down here, or I'll come up to Mo. when the weather gets better?) This Winter, I'm gonna be installing a Lowrance 7-triple shot on the Titan. Next Springtime, I'm sure we'll get together. (Hey, we COULD just go down to Lake Ouachita and "BUG" Greg, this week...!). Haha!
Green sunfish were what you were catching. Lots of people who live in the midwest don't even know their proper name. They are pests and can live just about anywhere. Great flat-head bait though.
Wish I had known you were coming. The kayak place in Conway is where I live. Anytime you come to Arkansas let me know and I'll make sure everything is taken care of for you.
Now you're in my neck of the woods! About 7 hours from me. The little secret is that Arkansas is an AMAZING fishery. Hope you're having a great time! Also, that clay is probably on both sides of the lake 😂
I've lived in Arkansas most of my life and I say you had a really good first day. Especially for Nov. HUGE front coming through so I'd not forget those schoolers you found. You may have to get back on em, sit and weed thru the little ones. Good luck!
Not sure what the travel rules are but with a 20+ north wind tomorrow, you might want to try Denby or Crystal Springs. All are mapped, good public access.
Just wanted to say that there are very few smallmouth in Ouachita. It is a pretty cool deal for us guys who fish it often to catch one, in fact I haven't ever pulled it off! Good luck!
Aw man! I wish I would've known you were in the area! You are about 30 minutes away from me and I have fished that lake many times with family. Glad you had a good time!
I feel like on that lake that you can win with 85 or 86 inches per day. It has nice bass in it, but a lot of average bass too. A big kicker would really help the average.
Greg, Good luck in the tourney. I am interested in how you pack to travel. The thumbnail showed you with a roll-along bag yet on the water you had lots of rods/reels and gear. So how do you transport your rods/reels and tackle, do you ship ahead or do they fly with you. I am sure it is a logistical nightmare but interested in knowing how it is done.
I was fortunate and had a few buddies driving out to it. They took my rods, tackle trunk, paddle, and a few other odds and ends. I basically just brought myself and some clothes as well as some accessoreis to outfit my rental boat. The packing was easy but coordinating a rental vehicle, boat, lodging and getting to and from the airports was the trickiest part.
I bought my native watercraft from that exact store you were at Grant is a real cool dude. Wish I knew you were coming to town man. Hit me up next time you coming to Arkansas maybe we can do a lil collab
man, only a couple hours from me.... I guess I need to pay better attention to some of these yak tourneys.... would of been cool just to go down and meet up.
Thanks for having my 2-Dog-Crew and myself in your video! It was nice to meet you!
You’ll have to check out Blanchard Springs Caverns and fish the twin lakes in northern Arkansas!
.........and it begins!!! Friendly gal in the other kayak!!!!! Southern hospitality and civility. Miss that..
Definitely a friendly place. Locals were great

Ah, sorry man! Will try to be better about posting travel plans for the future. Finding beer was quite the challenge near Lake Ouachita!
Good luck on the pre fish and tournament.
Sweet! Good prefish day! Cool of Vinnie to haul some of your gear for ya. Cheers 🍻

It's cool to see you hitting other states. I know you have a day job but we need to find a way to see Greg across the states.

Welcome to Arkansas and good luck! I’m 2hrs away from there. Enjoy this nasty weather rolling in!
Thanks Kong! Yep, been crazy weather here this past week

Gotta love it when there’s not another rig in the lot ! Whole lake to yourself !
Love your videos man! I live about 30 mins from lake ouachita! It’s a great fishery!
No In-n-Out...no beer....I hope you do really well , cuz that is dedication. 🎣
What no In-N-Out there and you still went??? Dedication!
I just may be clueless, but that seemed like a darn good first day. 👍👊🎣
It was solid for sure!
For a minute thought you were heading out to visit family back in NY!

@@GregBlanchardFishing thanks Greg and good luck on tournament.
Your not that far from me welcome to the Ozarks hope ya have a great tournament,
I would call that a successful day of pre-Fishing. How long of a leader do you use on your dropshot rig and what pound test?
I will take it! I like about a 4' leader

Greg, do the plastic wheels make it easier to move your kayak?
Hey Rich, yes, they move the boat a bit easier than the stock tires
Dang wish I could come there this weekend to compete in the tourney and to meet you
tu es au top
Arkansas has some good fish you just have to know where to fish lots of good ponds
I bought my native watercraft from that exact store you were at Grant is a real cool dude. Wish I knew you were coming to town man. Hit me up next time you coming to Arkansas maybe we can do a lil collab
Cool vid bro
Boat flipping on a Drop Shot set up! I couldn't do that on my 6lb test LOL!
haha, it's a risky game more so because of that tiny hook!
@@GregBlanchardFishing agreed!
Man nice five days of fishing is nice on a yak.
Go Greg. Try some other stuff. Deep cranks.
