  • In honor of Roys 87th birthday, here is a concert in FULL VIDEO.
This video footage has been bouncing around a few fans including myself at one time on VHS, and I lost a number of VHS tapes in 1992, it was only recently speaking to a fan that I was made aware of this footage, and thanks to another who was willing to share this with me so others may enjoy it.
ENJOY ORBISON FANS, this is one incredible concert!!
SIDE NOTE, the last half of "ONLY THE LONELY', and the songs "LEAH", and "DREAM BABY" are not in the concert, the footage would not transfer correctly from the video jumping to much.

These people witnessed greatness at this concert. Nobody, nobody can sing like Roy.

My late wife and I were there - and we absolutely knew we witnessed greatness - so did everyone there - and as you can hear, we all let Roy know that with wild sustained applause!!

Many thanks for the upload of this phenomenal performance!! I always love me some Roy Orbison!! 💔💔❤❤❤💘💘💘💋💋💋💋💋
I search for Roy's stuff all the time!! I do wish some of the ones in the band that played with Roy would release some of the photos they have,, or tell us fans about some of the funny stuff that went on, on tour. I've read that Roy could be very funny. I listened to Marty Sinclair do an interview with Bucky Barrett, lead guitarist in Roy's band for several years. Bucky said he had a lot of photos of Roy he'd taken of Roy around the country where they had played. But when ask if he would share the photos, Bucky intimated that he only shared them with his friends. He then teased that he might write a book about him working in Roy's band. That was some time ago, so that was all it was, a tease. I would love for someone to interview the band members still alive about touring with Roy. That would be the greatest thing for Roy's fans!!

It’s amazing that this video exists! I just discovered its existence yesterday. I did buy an audio CD of this performance that the Orbison Estate used to sell online, but I was totally unaware of the existence of any video of it before stumbling across it online last night. When the CD used to be available on the Orbison Estate website, they used the term, "Epic" to describe this performance - and that was no exaggeration - EPIC indeed it was!
My late wife and I were fortunate enough to actually be at this incredible set, live, at the then-still-named "Seattle Coliseum" (subsequently "Key Arena", now "Climate Pledge Arena"). This was the highlight of Seattle's annual Bumbershoot Festival for 1987. And I've been telling friends about it ever since. It was pretty much the greatest live set I've ever attended - and I've attended a lot of great ones! We were sitting on temporary bleachers set up on the near side of the main floor, perpendicular to the center rows of seats - and we were only about 10 feet above the floor (i.e. well above the heads in the center rows) and just far enough out to the left of from where this video was shot that that we were able to easily see the band and backup singers behind Roy, which you can't really see much of on the video due to the odd location of the camera and some blocking equipment. As you can hear, Roy was in top form that night and the crowd was wildly receptive! Also as you can hear and see, when we all thought that Roy had hit the highest possible emotional peak at the end of both "Crying" and the finale, "Running Scared", he paused, stepped back - then came back out front and outdid even himself on a blow-the-roof-off even higher emotional reprise of each - absolutely magical perfection!
Thanks so very much for posting this video - I can't thank you enough!! So glad to be able to relive it - and so glad that others are able to see and hear it!!

Hey, thanks for the beautiful comment, this video footage was only found to be in existence about a year and a half ago, some Orbison fans always had it, but for whatever circumstance or reason, they never shared it with many fans. After finding out that it existed, I was able to get a copy of it, and any Fan that knows me knows that if I find something that I know is existed and other fans don’t have I’m going to share it. Reading your comment, and the joy that’s in it is the reason why this material is shared how it is, and I’m so glad to hear and see that you and other fans love this stuff.
I only wish that the whole concert was here, but as I shared the very start of it it cuts off and hesitates so I can’t post that part. Otherwise the show is fully intact.
Is an amazing show, and glad you got to relive it again and enjoy it with so many memories .

Honestly, not sure if anyone minded or not, this film has been bouncing around among certain fans since it’s original recording. I got it from a Fan earlier this year, and honestly, I felt that it was time to share with the entire fan base so many fans still to this day never saw it.
