This right here is where ham radio tech needs to be headed.
The fact that a modern handheld transceiver such as a Yausu FT3D has bluetooth but CANNOT be manipulated via a simple smartphone app for quick programming, APRS communication, backup/restores, firmware updates, etc is bonkers to me. This gives me hope that oldschool can finally become one with new-school.

EVERY time I saw a video on this radio I was clearly led to bgelieve that there were 16 memory channels.... PERIOD!!!............ BUT thankfully you have made it CLEAR there are "a NUMBER" of banks which contain 16 memory channels in each bank............ Thank You for being CONCISE!!...

Welcome to the marvellous world of Linux based free operating systems where we don't have to pay through the nose for the likes of Microsoft and Apple products, £30 cheap as chips and no blue screens of death. Android just works.

well you wouldnt be expected to fiddle with it. put all your channels in then hit up and down on your mic or the button on your steering wheel..jees i get it you dont like technology some of us welcome this.

Two things I'd like to know more about its APRS functions especially if it can DIGI and/or IGATE. Second I think there ought to be an option for a customisable "User Display Mode" so that on your Android device you could choose a larger font for Channel selection and maybe include soft-buttons for Vol/Squelch up/down.

Any new news on this radio? I got mine and am having problems configuring it. The instructions provided (well just suck) how do you turn off the data burst at the end of a transmission, local repeaters are having problems hearing me clear or at all. Thinking about trying to send this thing back!!!!

It’s interesting but not really convenient. The range for Bluetooth is pretty short and it seems more troublesome to fuss with a tablet or phone rather than turn a VFO and key a mic manually. Commercial application maybe?

Bluetooth range is more than enough to be used in a vehicle. Make a Mic that has programmable buttons , numbers and up/dwn to control the radio and you're good to go.
I'm going to bet a ton of people use CHIRP or some software to program their radio today. What's the difference except you don't have to wait to get him to program it.
Build a better looking radio UI which I'm sure Kenwood, Yaesu and others could do. Imagine the FTM 400/ft3dr or kenwood 74a screen UI except on your phone. You could use the screen for some options or the hand mic to control the radio.
The big advantage for a radio of this design is using an old cell phone or tablet would also take care of remote mounting a radio that doesn't have remote mount ability for those of us with vehicles that don't really have a place to mount a radio so you can view the radio face if it doesn't have a remote face option.
It also needs some digital modes.

Bluetooth range is quite good now. And this uses bluetooth 2.0, so it’s range would work in and around your car no problem IN the house you should be able to freely walk around a 2 story 1500 sqft house with no problems. Educate yourself next time on technology friend.

Looks like a great radio. I want to have one. But I can't find an FCC logo on it in the video and no CE logo either on it for legal use in Europe. Are these logos there and I just didn't see them?

Just got one radio and I have 2 questions
one Tone SQ in RX sound like it is not working
It is always open and I get all RX coming in with or without tone.
I have not find way to turn off APRS , it always stay on and transmit on my voice channel
I got 2 mic with my radio one with wire and one look 100% same but is wireless
Voice quality in TX RX in not so good on the wireless one and short range, but wire mic sound 100% good

One word of warning. Do not do what I did and pair the PTT button with the radio direct before downloading the app on tablet/phone. The app will not subsequently pair with the radio stating that a device is already paired. There is no way the actual radio unit can be reset to allow the app to pair. I am informed that reset can be performed after the app pairs with the radio but this is not possible. I also ask how does one pair the Bluetooth speaker microphone. Having paired the PTT button direct to the radio I could not then pair the microphone and without pairing the app I see nothing available for the pairing function in the app for anything other than the radio or PTT button.

How does the scan function work.? What settings are there.? Does it scan more that one region or is it only the one you are currently on.? Can you change what it does when it finds sound like stay there permanently or stay there until the transmission ends or stay there for a certain amount of time like on a baofeng. I want to install in my car and I scan almost all the time while driving so it’s a important feature to me and the info does not seem to be any where online.

a) It only scans the currently active channel groups. b) Moreover, a channel group can only hold 16 entries. - Both of these annoyances should be improved, I can only hope.

Its actually a good solution for being able to operate Mobile whilst driving your car like we used to be able too before our do gooders brought out a law that makes it illegal to push a ptt button on a Microphone and have a qso here in the UK, even though we had been doing this for year's without any problems.😉.
We are allowed to watch Advertising on Massive Screens on our roads and even Motorways whilst driving at 70MPH, go figure.

Verotelecom Two Way Radio I’m having major problems with my radio hitting local repeaters that my HT has no problems hitting. It is very inconstant hitting them with my mobile antenna that’s much higher gain than my HT plus 40 watts of power. The blue tooth microphones will not let me change the channel either. I can volume up and down but that’s it. All of this is very concerning to me. The IOS app is very poor to be honest. I don’t think this app was ready for prime time folks. My iPhone 11 pro max struggles to stay connected to the radio also. When I’ve been able to hit a repeater the audio reports have been good including the BT microphone. I’ll wait for your promised IOS improved app before I pass final judgement but the connection issues and not being able to hit local repeaters is concerning. BTW my repeater settings are correct.

@@verotelecomtwowayradio9036 The M button on the BT mic isn't working at all it won't react to any touch. The volume buttons will raise and lower the volume but thats all I can get my BT mic to do. My biggest problem is the squelch seems to be very hard to break. I have adjusted it as low as possible without breaking the squelch then I trigger a repeater and it won't break the squelch. I can hear the repeater it on my HT but not on the n7500. This seems to be a problem with repeaters with a lower signal DB but like I stated MY HT can hear it so should my 7500. Either way is there some way to fix this using IOS?
