This truck was my first jump into brand name RC's having only done banggood stuff before. 100% best buy I've made. RPM makes improved front and rear lowers and they're a must because they're the only weak point I've found on the car.

I really like the format in this video, you really show us how you tweak your videos from our feedback, not change everything just minor tweaks (ex : Adding the damage report at the end). This little car looks BEASTLY! I just wonder how easy it is to get parts? :) Thanks for posting Kevin.
As someone who owns one and has replaced a few things already, super easy. Associated Electronics has all the parts on the website with pretty quick shipping and, state side at least, Amazon and all the hobby store sites have pretty much any part you'd need. Only upgrades I have made are a faster coreless 30kg servo and RPM lower arms and it's pretty much bulletproof now.
"Dirt cheap " is definitely relative 😂 Those are sure out of my reach 🤷♂️ But yout videos are so good that i feel that I am right there enjoying all those RCs😃 Great work

Save your pennies, and dollars. Eventually you will have enough. I feel like if you start with and an inexpensive hobby grade RC you will see that this hobby is worth enjoying in moderation.

This rc car actually surprised me on the performance it made for the price but the durability is actually insane, which surprised me the most. And I think it the XMAX version of dirt cheap
Having a couple of RC10's from back in the day (still have them) I was thrilled to see this truck when it released.. so much I bought one that same day.. I was toying with thoughts of the Arrma Granite 3S before they started advertising these under "coming soon". Been a great one too!
This looks like a great car for a beginner. I really like it. It looks great! Especially the detail on the front bumper and the lights. It seems to take a good beating and would be perfect for learning how to go off jumps. Thanks Kevin ,,, Great honest review.

Team associated has always been one of the pioneers of real hobby grade racing rc's. They are probably the most reliable for racing and apparently bashing now. The only things ive broke on any of the team associated rc's that me my brother my dad were some suspension arms and some little things. Losi and team associated are both really good brands and are reliable, so beginners, both brands have good rtr's with plenty of upgrades available to spice them up.
I'm in the cheap rc class and it's nice to see these cars and trucks here it helps with finding RC's we can afford beat on before we spend money and find out it's a waste
ARRMA Granite brushless version is the best basher. It rips, jumps, it does flips as well as anything, it’s lighter and it won’t break (which is not the case for the larger models.)

have you ever tested the redcat blackout xte pro brushless that's what I have about 100 less and lots of upgrades available is my 1st car and I really like it had it full under water a couple of time still works awesome
Amazing to see that at half the price of an E-maxx in the 2000's, you can get one of these with the performance and durability this has, what a good little basher! Tomley did a bash with one of these a while back and I was impressed with it back then, I also remember some discussion regarding the stock front arms being brittle compared to the replacement factory arms that you buy as spares, and once you change them it's pretty tough.
It looks like it held up pretty good, I wonder how it compares to some other cars; guess I’ll need to fix up my emb-t and find out if it can hold up as well as the MT10! …Probably not…

Tomley merely said that people like Kev might give beginners the wrong impression about the intended durability of the RC vehicles. Certainly the majority of the RC cars Kev tests are not meant to be sent flying 20 meters high and land sideways on concrete - any RC car might break at that. But once you get into the hobby you start to realize this and enjoy Kev and his "mad bashing" for what it really is - stupid fun :)
Hey kev. I think that with all the trucks you have, you could do a comparison between de one in the same categories. For example, their speed, how they jump, stability, suspension etc. It could be very fun and also help us make the right choice when buying our new toys!

Beats Traxxas, Armma, Hpi, Cen, Axial, Team Corally, and the list goes on. The MT10 is a nice RC that many users love and others have had issues from day one (no different from other brands), I think Kevin got lucky this didn't break with the beating he gave it. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, understand you will break it eventually... launching it 40+ feet (or less) into the air, this is the nature of our hobby and why we buy these types of RCs instead of Walmart stuff... We can replace the parts when they break.
Loved the review, still can't afford it but fun to see what I might be able to afford in the future. Remember when it was only $299? I LOVE that RC. I almost sold mine but I am so glad I didn't. A very nimble rig that handles extremely well. It wasn't the most durable, BUT the handling was just muah! /chefskiss But WOW you beat it to shit! I'm surprised it survived as much as it did! TA must have upgraded the A-arms at some point because I remember others breaking that part really easy.
I‘ve bought the TA Pro4 Sc10. Its nearly the same chassie, just a bit longer. Its awesome, very durable too and fun to drive. Nice Video as allways by the way😉

So with the good comes the bad, not really bad but constructive criticism. It pains me so much when you take a brand new $800 or more RC out and bash it to the point of destroying it. I get that people love that sort of thing but for me I can’t watch. I’ve had to turn off several vids of you doing this. If, like me, you handed your nearly £900 investment to your 10yo to play with in the park then you want to have some confidence that it wont break in 10 mins. The positive side is it only breaks a component of the car so youre not replacing the entire car. Kev shows the limits which might make you wince but actually it demonstrates what youre paying for. To many these cars are out of their league and the investment is massive and a huge gamble. Youre gonna have to replace bits, thats a given, but if you gave it to your kid and he sent it to the moon then whats it gonna do. Its the love for the hobby Kev has and that while you wont do what he does, you know what might happen if you do. This is the one only only channel I cant wait for a new video. Love it Kev!

All I know is I ordered a BEZGAR 1:16 Large Size Off Road on Amazon for 74.99. As I was driving it around my driveway my buddy pulled in on his Harley road glide and as I was trying to drive it back I turned the wrong way and ended up going right under his back tire. That was over 1000 pounds rolling over it. Only thing that broke was one rim broke and it was a 6 dollar replacement for 2 new ones. Haven't seen anything keep up with it for this price.
I bought this when it 1st came out. Drove that thing a million times. Replace the A arms and go. Had the SC10 also. Really liked them, sold them since because I'm into big scale more. But I'd buy 1 again definitely.

My son loves his although I had to get a metal spur gear for it because the plastic one gets stripped very easily. Put a better servo too, first one died first run. It rips and he loves it.
I did definitely not expect this car to take such an abuse (which is called fun)! However I got a cheaper RC car, which I converted to brushless myself. Now it does 60mph on 2S lipo easily. And still it's super durable, never broke it!
I just put the max10 ESC with a castle 2650kv 4s motor. Running on 3s with a 16t pinion and it's nuts!!! Haven't tried it on 4s yet lol those stock tires can barely handle that system on 3s so 4s will blow them apart lol
This little truck is better than let's say a Granite BLX that I have. It actually has a center diff instead of that stupid slipper clutch. The diffs are better too. Broken arm after all that abuse? No big deal!

The Rival MT10 is my go to RC alongside my Big Rock. It is definitely the most feature packed and durable 10th scale for the money.

Love my Granite, but, It will break. Those rear drive shaft just love to pop as well no matter how well I set the slipper.
I've had both trucks for two years and the granite is a little faster but the mt10 is better in every other way.

So with the good comes the bad, not really bad but constructive criticism. It pains me so much when you take a brand new $800 or more RC out and bash it to the point of destroying it. I get that people love that sort of thing but for me I can’t watch. I’ve had to turn off several vids of you doing this. Also when you do mods, instead of taking your time and doing it right you sometimes take short cuts. Does this mean I look to other RC youtubers instead of watching you…no. Keep up the fresh content because you got a fan here! Can’t wait to see the monster truck finished up!!! -Mike ✌️
If, like me, you handed your nearly £900 investment to your 10yo to play with in the park then you want to have some confidence that it wont break in 10 mins. The positive side is it only breaks a component of the car so youre not replacing the entire car. Kev shows the limits which might make you wince but actually it demonstrates what youre paying for. To many these cars are out of their league and the investment is massive and a huge gamble. Youre gonna have to replace bits, thats a given, but if you gave it to your kid and he sent it to the moon then whats it gonna do. Its the love for the hobby Kev has and that while you wont do what he does, you know what might happen if you do. This is the one only only channel I cant wait for a new video. Love it Kev!

All I know is I ordered a BEZGAR 1:16 Large Size Off Road on Amazon for 74.99. As I was driving it around my driveway my buddy pulled in on his Harley road glide and as I was trying to drive it back I turned the wrong way and ended up going right under his back tire. That was over 1000 pounds rolling over it. Only thing that broke was one rim broke and it was a 6 dollar replacement for 2 new ones. Haven't seen anything keep up with it for this price.

I bought this when it 1st came out. Drove that thing a million times. Replace the A arms and go. Had the SC10 also. Really liked them, sold them since because I'm into big scale more. But I'd buy 1 again definitely.

My son loves his although I had to get a metal spur gear for it because the plastic one gets stripped very easily. Put a better servo too, first one died first run. It rips and he loves it.

I did definitely not expect this car to take such an abuse (which is called fun)!
However I got a cheaper RC car, which I converted to brushless myself. Now it does 60mph on 2S lipo easily. And still it's super durable, never broke it!
I just put the max10 ESC with a castle 2650kv 4s motor. Running on 3s with a 16t pinion and it's nuts!!! Haven't tried it on 4s yet lol those stock tires can barely handle that system on 3s so 4s will blow them apart lol
This little truck is better than let's say a Granite BLX that I have. It actually has a center diff instead of that stupid slipper clutch. The diffs are better too. Broken arm after all that abuse? No big deal!
