Yeah my 22 dually has way too much torque retarding off the line. I could blow 37s from a start with my tuned 6.0. My 470hp 6.7 will hardly do it on stock tires 😢 deleting/tuning soon
TUNING that removes torque limiting DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE ON THE 6.7 the 6.7 doesn't have ANY low end torque until the turbo catches up. WITH the torque limiting removed it still just sits there and blows smoke for 2-3 seconds before it actually moves. my old 7.3 has torque immediately. I love driving my 6.7 though.
I have an 05 Excursion 6.0! KC stage 2 turbo, 4” turbo back exhaust, No limit cold air intake and a Blessed Performance tune. I’ve walked away from a few 6.7’s. Don’t know what their mods were. And yes I’m studded and deleted.
Bro I have the exact same set up on my excursion except S&B cold air and a SCT Looney tune , you can’t beat that turbo whistle off that Kc2!!! Oh and a borla exhaust that makes it sound amazing , running 35’s with 4” lift, I’ve got spanked and I’ve done some spanking on many different vehicles on the road! Most can’t stand the sound when they pull up🚦 and of course I love a challenge🚀can’t wait to put new injectors and fuel system! Cheers
Yeah I have an 05 F250 6.0 and am on my 4th engine. I can definitely say it can be turned into a lot more then just a rocket. My current build produces around 750-800.

I got an 03 with apr head studs,o-ringed heads, metal up and down pipe, but everything else stock, trust me 500 hp is doable. It’s a rare occasion, but possible. With a turbo, lift pump and mild injectors, you can make way more than 500
The 6.0 truck looks heavy, it's a 1 ton..the 6.7 is f250 ..thise 6.7 pull like a freight train once the boost finally comes on. Also I don't think anyone has gotten 500 on stock Injectors on a 6.0
There 325/510 stock you can get a act custom tune for around 200+210 hp good luck with your stretched head studs and coolant spewing everytime you hammer on it lol.
6.0 is always going to be faster 😂 I've blown 6.4 , 6.7 ,7.3 and cummins off the road and without reading and listening to someone else's opinion if you ask a real diesel professional they will tell you the 6.0 is the better truck
Funny I just blew one off the road last week. Literally pulled away from him til I was up to around 130 his cut out around the 100 mark at that point I was 4 trucks ahead easily
People commented on here that the 6.0 truck is at a disadvantage because it's a heavier 1 ton and the other pickup is a 3/4. The weight difference between the two is really no different. Basically the only difference is the 350 has the rear riser blocks added between axle housing and spring pack, the rear sway control bar, and the heavier rear over load springs. I could carry around all these upgrades with ease. Older to newer models comparison. Nice video.
You should have done a 6.7 versus the 05-07 6.0 not the 03-04 6.0 the engines are way different and the 05-07 model years have the updated heads, head bolts, turbo, valve covers and electrical is way different, and different frame, suspension. That would have been the perfect comparison because the 6.7 and 05-07 6.0 trucks share the exact same cab, frame and suspension.
Just bought a 6.0 it was awesome until it was stolen wrecked and motor trashed to the point it won't turn over oh and it had about 2000 dollars of all my tools gone..I am just broke and screwed.but fun while it lasted

I went to buy a 6.0, 10 min into the test drive and engine starting losing power, I look behind me and clouds of white smoke pouring out the exhaust, I blew the turbo on the test drive and guy wanted 600$ for wasting his time, safe to say I hopped in the whip and left
I'm not tuning shit on the 06 that I'm looking at. Only thing I'm doing is getting rid of that bullshit egr and DPF cuz this is Texas and giving it a 4 inch straight pipe to dual 4.5 inch smoke stacks. That's all I need to be happy with it for a while. Just an XLT crew cab 6 3/4 bed, basic daily driver. And the smoke stacks will be a good 2 feet above the cab BEFORE the bend in the stack as it NEEDS to be done. NO ONE ever does smoke stacks right hence why they bitch about the drone in the cab. Short stacks do that to ya. REAL stacks don't. But I digress. My hope is to eventually get it to where it's just a farm truck and then I can get myself a ram 2500 for daily driving/hauling over the road. Hell I'm even looking at getting one of the new 8 speed transmissions for it later now that the 2025s are coming with em in all models gas and diesel.

Sorry bud but a you are not getting 500 to the wheel in that 2011, my 14 has the 17 and up turbo and cp4.2 and I'm making 566 to the wheels max effort. Dynoed at TSD. When my truck was running a factory turbo and fuel it barely squeezed out 440 ish to the tire.
Not a chance the 6.0 is making 500 to the wheels. I've owned them, I've built them, ive raced them, ive Dyno'd them. Stock sticks and blower might make 400 on a freezing cold day in Florida.

@@ALT_RIGHT the 6.7 has a broader torque curve, but the 6.0 is a formidable and VERY capable platform in the right hands, with proper tunes. It easily has modern power with a few mods to make it reliable.

6.7 has a lot of torque limiting off the line unless your decrease it in the tune. You’ll notice the 6.7 pulling on the 6.0 once they get moving.
