0:56 That's so weird knowing that is one of your first videos on your channel from just 2 years ago and you now you are where you are today, seems like I watched that video just a little while ago. Its clear just how much time and effort you have put into this channel and the results speak for themselves. Congratulations on all your growth and success and thanks for all the help to my game along the way. I hope you continue to reach more and more people.
Loving the content. I just picked up disc golf 2 weeks ago. I’ve already went from The Dynamic Discs starter pack to several more discs, Paratrooper bag and a basket to practice putting. Lol. I also just ordered a couple of orange Robbie C. Disc dots. Keep up the good work!
1st ACE: 2021 Sexton Firebird… blind corner forehand skip, heard chains but thought it was a hole next to us, searched about 30 seconds for the disc, finally looked in the bucket😎🔥
I got an Ace this year with a Comet. Also, This is my breakout year. Throwing midranges instead of fairways and fairways instead of distance drivers. It took me a little longer but at 63 not too shabby.
Love it. I've been playing for 3 years and just finally feel like I understand how I'm suppose to be throwing distance drives. Feel like I was taking bad advice for the first year or so. Still chasing an Ace!
@@DanielMinottoII Hang in there. Robbie does a great job when he talking to new players. You can always takes bits and pieces from over things and apply it to your game.
I just got my first ace two weeks ago with the most beat up disc in my bag, a 3 year old DX roc covered in scratches and chips. I trust that disc with my life.
Just shot +6 at long open course where my previous records were +13 and +15. Same course Kyle Klein constantly shoots -12 to -15 at. All your tips are helping, but I have a long way to go
1st Ace was with an "Innova" C-Line MD2, never would have thought how sought after the disc would be now that discmania is making their own discs. Just makes it that much more special.
You being a genuinely nice guy as well as someone who has been there before makes your videos so accessible to watch. Thanks for the great content Robbie!!
Welcome back to Alexander - one of my home courses along with Suwanee Creek and Little Mulberry. Ready to join you and help film if needed the next time you visit. THANKS for sharing the good word.
First and only ace was a 205' hole with a dynamic discs bounty. Perfect anhyzer shot dead center. Great videos, I love watching you and overthrow disc golf more than anyone else!
Wow just your confidence alone is night and day! Nice job Robbie! Oh and my first and only ace was with an envy in electron soft! My favorite and straightest/farthest throwing putter!
Been playing only a few months now and I've managed to hit my first birdie on an uphill par 3! I definitely felt that comment when you mention walking up to puts. Even circle 1 feels like I'm playing from the tee. Keep up the great videos! Love this format. Gives off a real positive message about practicing and sticking to it.
Thank you for another great video Robbie!! Looking forward to the next. My first ace was with a DD Captain (I've had 2 with the Halo Lion in the past 2 months though!!)
Only ace - Discmania D-Line MD (original)... it's my "precious child" disc... LOVED this video, really needed to hear this and tackle this topic (in my life, at least) this last month! Thank you Robbie!
Robbie please give the Yikun hammer (chui) a try. I've fallen in love with that disc for approach shots. Great to see your confidence improve as well as your accuracy over time. I notice as I play with the same molds and stay consistent my confidence has improved tremendously.
First ace was about 2 months ago. Lucid-X Verdict during a practice round for a tournament. 240ft with a wide hyzer and it BANGED chains. Also, something you mention in the video regularly is reminding ourselves that we are better than we feel in the moment after a bad shot or before a nervy one. I am not so good at it on the tee and constantly let myself get psyched out about gaps that I KNOW I can hit in casual rounds. Definitely a pain point in my mental game that I'm trying to work on. Love the format of the video. Just casually playing some holes while giving guidance or talking through your process is something I think you do quite well.
First ace was with a dynamic discs maverick. It was the staightest shot I've probably ever thrown on the shortest hole within many miles of where I live in Florida's panhandle but hey.. Hopefully I'll get to see you out on one of the courses over here some day, it would make my week
Absolutely a good video and very authentic. I have done the same thing playing Dexter in Oregon. One of those courses that seemed so hard to me at first, now two years later it's all very much less intimidating. Thanks for letting us all follow along. Thanks for being real, honest and fun.
Love this content! Disc golf is one of those sports that I find more accessible and easier to improve in than some others. Also, this is one of my favorite courses in the Atlanta area.
was rewarding to hear Robbie interjecting putting confidence and increased skill level in this... i learned how to putt from him and it went from worst part of game to tied for first (for a social player I am pretty good at scrambling just from how much experience I have at it)... but yeah, I implemented a Robbie C putting video into what I do and worked it and worked it and changes the game for me... inside of 15 steps and I am actually putting to make it versus flopping it up outside of 6 or 7 steps hoping it goes in but just wanting to make sure finish in two
This was a great video, it is very easy to let your progress go under the radar but when you finally notice how much progress you have actually made, it is a great feeling and is quite encouraging!
Yet to get my first ace but im working on it! Been following your channel since I started playing last year. Used alot of your tips in my last few rounds and played +8 where my old record was +18. Seeing improvements! But alot of it really is mental and your tips on the mental bit has helped alot. Trying to just have fun and not care about the score before or during the round.
Robbie! I'm the guy leaving the course walking toward the camera at Alexander. I saw you and got amped but saw you were on a roll filming and didn't want to interrupt! I'll say hey next time man 🤙 happy throwing
First ace? Ha.. only in my first deck of cards, it'll come someday lol... Love love love that shirt.. where can we get cool robbie c apparel, if I'm gonna buy one anyway, may as well support somebody that has helped a ton of people!! Love hearing your thoughts on the tee pad, does give perspective!! Thanks!!
Love the content and following your journey. Glad to see that putter stroke still gaining confidence. I'm 1 year into playing and just now really starting to find that sweet spot of diskibg down to mids and an occasional putter where I used to throw drivers and fairways. Also I like to utilize the standstill on the pad instead of overthrowing a lower disc. Helps me stay more locked on form.
1st ace was this year 3/24/22 at Persimmon Ridge Kiwanis disc golf course in Jonesborough TN. It was with a Yikun Shu (4, 5, -2, 1) Midrange on hole 11. I had just bought the disc to give to my wife but I borrowed it and this was my first round playing with it, so I kept it and bought her an identical one.
I played my first tournament about 6 months after I started playing back in 2021. It was 3 rounds and I finished ±40. A year later at the same tournament, I finished -7. It's crazy to think how much my game has gotten better in one year. Whenever I'm feeling down I look back on my earlier performance to see how much further, accurate, consistent, and confident I am today. First ace - maiden, second ace - maiden, third ace - Berg 😛
First ace was with a Champion Valkyrie at Tom triplet park in Savannah. We also played together at the compound not too long ago. It would be awesome to play locally sometime.
My first ace was last year on at El Dorado's Hole 3 in California with a NS 2021 firebird. Definitely a lucky shot considering it was coming in with some heat and it was an elevated basket.
Super interesting and helpful, thanks for the insight. I think the thing I appreciate most about your videos is the humility and straight-forward...ness (??) anyway, you know what I mean :)
First ace was with a GStar Teebird3 in my first tournament as a PDGA member. Such an amazing disc. 2 years later it's still in the bag. Best Fairway driver mold I know.
I got my first Ace yesterday with a Discraft Archer! Didn't expect it at all and sadly nobody was around to witness the explosion of excitement. Midrange is the new driver!
After one full year of disc golf I just shot my first bogey free round at -6 and longest hole of the day was a 700ft par 4 and I birdied it! Robbie c has helped me sooo much with stuff to work on all around from driving to upshot’s to putting to how to play smart I’m here to tell you if you listen and apply his teaching you’ll improve drastically just don’t give up!
First ace.. Winged Deer park, Johnson City, TN. Whippet on hole one, slight hyzer for a lefty, 200' uphill or so. 1st verified ace in a small tourney. Hole 5, straight line 180', no skip. Pretty sure I was tossing a roc or whippet at that also. Fun times, back in the day! I especially recall the glow 'spiderwebs', tourney at nights, being a blast!
My putting is the weakest part of my disc golfing play. I can't seem to throw the disc even when I try, it always ends up on Hyzer when released from my hand. I am currently still trying to fix this error but I honestly don't know how to correct this mistke. It becomes more noticeable when I am 20+ ft out from the pin.
Putting on hyzer isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I kinda struggled trying to putt flat, once I started intentionally putting on hyzer I became much more consistent.
If you are spin putting, maybe you need to put more spin on it. My putt is relatively straight til I get out in distance. I use a hyzer putt for those long distances and just put a lot of height on it and hope it reaches the basket.
I just started playing a couple weeks ago. I played on my first course after 3 days of practice. I ended up only playing 6 holes, but scored a bogie or double bogey every hole. Later that week I played those same six holes and improved to 50% bogey and 50 % par. This week I went out and played 18 holes and had 15 pars, 2 bogeys and one birdie. After really focusing on not over powering my discs and my upshot,I was able to improve my score by just going out and having fun and trusting in what Ive learned.
You're gunna love this Robbie, My first ace was with a pig, a skip ace too. It took me 12 years to discover the pig and 13 years of disc golf to get my first ace.
Got my first Ace on an uphill dogleg left hole, 196ft (you can't see the basket) with a neutron Thrill (very overstable driver) on a tournament just three weeks ago. Of course it felt great!
I love seeing you throw the Stag, and I hope you don't give up on it after this round. And for the record, my first ace was with my AJ Risley Hybrid Warden. 👍👍
Robbie you live in Atlanta Lawrenceville area I just moved from Atlanta wish I picked disc golf out there but Iam in Charlotte now soo nice out here too
My first ace was 303 feet with a Daedalus I had to curve around trees. It was crazy. My second was a grip lock that I was trying to go straight at the basket but ended up hyzering then tree-directed in. Haven't had a third. Oh, and both were this year.
No aces here yet. Came close once, hit the basket frame with an essence on a 210ft hole. Like the format, it shows progress nicely! My biggest improvement in my game is definitely putting and up shots, the weakest link still though, is either putting and driving, even with the improvements to putting. I figured I was throwing the disks way wrong and re learning everything takes time. Havent played even a full year yet. So it’ll improve!
Played for the first time in a few months yesterday. Had 2 really close ace runs with my teebird 3 with a forehand. The second of which (a 300 footer with low, bushy trees everywhere) came right after losing my calvin heimburg halo destroyer in a really thick tree going for a spike hyzer (a shot I'm very uncomfortable with). I searched around the tree for about 20 minutes and even climbed up in it, but never so much as saw a glimpse of the disc. So I decided to re-tee and go for the low shot under the branches instead. Skipped up and hit the basket. 1 inch higher would've been my first ace. Still chasing it! One of these days.
My first Ace was with a McBeth First Run Undertaker, 275 feet. I have hit a total of 3 Aces now in my short disc golf career. Buzzz and Judge for the other 2, short ones.
I started out playing a technical course, then I moved to a town where the local course was loooong. I got pretty good at throwing bombs. I was 19, so, no soreness or recovery time needed. Moved away and started playing technical courses again, and lost my distance. Starting to play a good mix of long and technical, and now I’m 50 years old. I’m having to really work on consistent form and mindset. Lol.
I notice you dont take eyes of target during drives. IM trying to learn to turn my head as I understand its better mechanics? WHat are your thoughts, as I would really prefer to NOT lose sight of target on bh drives...

Dude same. Just 4 weeks ahead of you.
Welcome to the sport. I'm about 9 months in. Robbie C is the most accessible, beginner friendly, dg UA-cam there is.
Great job getting some disc dots. You'll really see results when training yourself to look at the chains and not the basket.
@@bryanfellenbaum9250 I need to get a set, I only have a cheap plastic chain Franklin practice basket, you think they’d work fine with it?
Keep it up fellas! The game only gets better the more you play ❤️
1st ACE: 2021 Sexton Firebird… blind corner forehand skip, heard chains but thought it was a hole next to us, searched about 30 seconds for the disc, finally looked in the bucket😎🔥

Loved this video format- I was missing your Tuesday videos where you talked us through a hole or two 👍🏼
Love the video. It also demonstrates the mental game of staying positive even after a bogey. My first, and so far only, ace was with an Opto River.
You being a genuinely nice guy as well as someone who has been there before makes your videos so accessible to watch. Thanks for the great content Robbie!!

First and only ace was a 205' hole with a dynamic discs bounty. Perfect anhyzer shot dead center. Great videos, I love watching you and overthrow disc golf more than anyone else!
This is by far my favorite! You addressed the range of outcomes on choosing shots in scrambling. You really do relate to the Everyman.
That was fun Robbie. I like the format of talking through your thought process.
Wow just your confidence alone is night and day! Nice job Robbie! Oh and my first and only ace was with an envy in electron soft! My favorite and straightest/farthest throwing putter!
What you said on hole 2 about throwing mids is super helpful.
Dude! Alexander! I live by there and played one of my first tournaments there! Fun to see you playing this course

First Ace was a warm summer evening in 2011. Thumber Bounce-In with a Neon Green Discraft Flash on Hole 7 at Baird's Creek in Green Bay, WI.
First ace was with a Champion Valkyrie at Tom triplet park in Savannah. We also played together at the compound not too long ago. It would be awesome to play locally sometime.
Great video. I’m just learning to play and the rules but at 14:35 can you jump past your marker like that on a putt?

1st Ace Innova Pro Line Beast ... I lost the disc in Chattanooga and it showed up in Atlanta 2 years later ... it's on my wall now.
First Ace- I hit my first ace this Monday with an ESP Buzzz that I dyed
My first ace was with a Buzz! I now have 20 aces.
First ace.. Winged Deer park, Johnson City, TN. Whippet on hole one, slight hyzer for a lefty, 200' uphill or so. 1st verified ace in a small tourney. Hole 5, straight line 180', no skip. Great to watch. I have to learn your patience
First ace was with a champion beast that I dyed. It started off as completely clear, and now has a cool blue swirl dyed onto it.
innova teebird3 was my first ace :) a metal flake one. its too straight to understable now, so its on my wall :)
Love the quality content, Robbie! Thank you!

Wowowowow!! Pig is love! Pig is life!!
Got my first Ace on an uphill dogleg left hole, 196ft (you can't see the basket) with a neutron Thrill (very overstable driver) on a tournament just three weeks ago. Of course it felt great!
My home course!! Love this place!
First Ace Blue DX Leopard from starter set as 3rd day newb on 07/11/11 - Just hit no. 22 - 11 years later with Star Leopard3 06/11/22

as always great video and great tips....your the disc golf yoda master
I love seeing you throw the Stag, and I hope you don't give up on it after this round. And for the record, my first ace was with my AJ Risley Hybrid Warden. 👍👍
Robbie you live in Atlanta Lawrenceville area I just moved from Atlanta wish I picked disc golf out there but Iam in Charlotte now soo nice out here too
1st ace was hole 12 at Fairhope, AL. Champion beast.
First ace with latitude 64 opto musket love ur vids
first ace 2021 Ricky pig on a forehand, 1 week later a baobab on the forehand: 2 aces a combined 300'. great shooting
My first ace was 303 feet with a Daedalus I had to curve around trees. It was crazy. My second was a grip lock that I was trying to go straight at the basket but ended up hyzering then tree-directed in. Haven't had a third. Oh, and both were this year.
First ace was a buzzz on a high hyzer! Dropped right in the basket, and I never thought it would happen like that.
1st ace was with a crave first day I put it in my bag. still my favorite disc
No aces here yet. Came close once, hit the basket frame with an essence on a 210ft hole.
Like the format, it shows progress nicely! My biggest improvement in my game is definitely putting and up shots, the weakest link still though, is either putting and driving, even with the improvements to putting.

Glad you’ve improved so much
Wraith to a fuse. Nice. I enjoy knowing my tee bird is getting some rest for more mid ranges. Love when you gain distance and is consistently stays
Robbie I got me a polecat halo
My first Ace was with a McBeth First Run Undertaker, 275 feet. I have hit a total of 3 Aces now in my short disc golf career. Buzzz and Judge for the other 2, short ones.
Got my first ace with an Innova Cobra on a lil ace run hole, sailed right in
I hit my first ace with an R-Pro pig. 220 foot backhand hyzer through a lot of wind and basically an island hole on a hill. So awesome
My first ace was with a harp! Love those things
Robbie, What kind of shoes are those? I have worn out my Columbia's and like a comfortable mid height waterproof trail shoe.
First ace was a judge! 64m tunnel hole downhill, started it left side and turned it straight in
Oh crap! This is my home course. Please tell me you have played East Roswell Park too.
Great video as always Robbie. Is that circle 1 polo available to buy or did you stamp it yourself after the fact?
Stamped it after! Tryibg to get some more robbie c apparell out there!
Lol.
First and only ace was my first throw out of the car and with an Electron Firm JC Envy on a 300 ft downhill shot.
