For those having problems to connect the thermostat, I hope this helps:
The heater looks like a very complicated device, but if you focus on the final part of it, It is real easy! As our friend Angelo965 says, disassemble, cut the 2 wires which go to the heating element, connect your lamp wires to the wires where the heating element was connected, tape it or heat-shrink it, connect the water heater cord to the wall (120V), and you are done!
    Thanks again.

Thanks Angelo965, I'm about to finish my kid's incubator as a science school project and most of the ideas were taken from your fantastic video.

The heater is for a fish tank. You connect the light bulb wires from the socket where the heating element were connected to on the water heater. The fans are connected to transformer i had laying around.

My incubator is 17x17. I can put about 25 to 30 quail eggs. Maybe 2 dozen chicken eggs. If you use a bigger cooler you might have to experiment with different wattage bulbs. Run the incubator for a few hours and keep checking the temperature. I used a 25W bulb.

I used silicone for aquarium tanks if you let it dry it should be ok. I have already incubated brown coturnix quails. They are now 3 weeks old.Check out my other videos

Before you put the eggs in the incubator let it run for a day set the temperature and monitor it for any temperature changes. I did have some temperature changes but not to bad. Out of 33 quail eggs 17 hatched. Most of the eggs that did not hatch were infertile. Most of the videos i saw they used a hot water heater thermostat i tried it and it did not hold steady temperature. I hope your incubator works as good as my. Let me know how everything turns out. If you make a video send it to me.

Im waiting for my quails to start laying eggs. I just used a container of water. Try different sizes to get the right humidity %.

You could try and use something in the incubator to block or reflect the direct light.

@hhshyguy The fans have to constantly be running you want the air to circulate in the bator.

if you have a thermostat in your incubator the light turns on and off by it self. You need to keep a steady temperature.
