Whether it's setting up Noise Suppression, Noise Gate, a Compressor, or a Limiter(for those times that get wild), this OBS(or SLOBS) setup takes an average setup to the most professional and advanced audio setup possible for your mic. Thank you for the timestamps! As always, thanks for the sage advice.
Smooooooooooth sound
This is an utterly fantastic video that is incredibly easy to follow along with. Greatly appreciate this, and thank you very much!
Holy shit I've been recording with my mic for 5 years and never set the Windows Mic volume properly. YOU SAVED ME
exactly what i needed, thanks!
great job describing everything. this video made it so much easier to understand how the noise gate works.
Glad I was able to help :)
JHow, you are THE man. Thank you for this incredible and thorough guide. I've seen others suggesting turning the windows volume level all the way down which means you then have to crank the gain on the mic all the way up, which is insanity as it greatly and unnecessarily increases noise levels, especially on something like a Yeti which is already excessively sensitive (and kinda horrible for streaming in general for this reason). Thank you for being the voice of reason and so helpful.
So glad this could help. I used to have a Snowball and wish I knew all of this way back then. Sound quality can be the difference between someone watching a video or going next or hanging out for a stream or preferring less of the background noise and going elsewhere.
You're my favorite human 🤣 hitting all my pain points
Hope they are helping :)
Great video. Thanks. Where would you put an EQ filter in the order, like Marvel GEQ?
i could freaking hug you man i was thinking about returning my shure mic because i couldnt get my audio situated
I went down the same road about 5 years ago and then as recently as last year after I changed some additional equipment. It's why I made this video because I went through the same stuff and now how frustrating it can be. Glad to hear things are sounding well on your end.
@@JHowTech thanks man i am not getting any clipping or any weird distortions now sounds really good and I didn’t add any eq yet
Oh man this is a shame it's only 720p. Can you redo this in 1080p?
