Great video, I don't ever remember seeing that old truck, that was a nice find. I must of just missed you guys, I was at that first spot 12/31 videoing, unfortunately the ground was still frozen once you dug down 6-8" so I wasn't able to find much gold in the upper layers

any beer cans in that dump? - you can soak them (and the lids to those jars) in oxalic acid and remove much of the rust without messing up the paint ....that looks like a prime location
@@John-w9m8d In the national forest we are only aloud a pan and hand trowel. It is tough to dig in the moving with just a trowel. The water will go down much lower than where it’s at so the gold will be waiting until spring. 🙂 thanks for watching and subscribing

@@John-w9m8d not much to get going! Maybe $100-$200 for gear up to a sluice box. A pan and screen are cheap like $40 will get you started at the river. If you are ever in Littleton NH stop by my shop: northeast prospector 38 Main Street I can give you some tips and get you setup

I've planned that same spot every year and I always find flower gold closer to the inside bend closer to the big washout hill
